Hmmm, i sure hope that the cars seen in this trailer will be in GT5, lots of exotica right there. Someone said they saw a Maserati Merak and Lamborghini Diablo? those would be fantastic additions to GT :)
 
The silver car next to that 3 Series WTCC car is...( Looks like a Merc possibly S class to me)

In the We Love Cars commercial, what scale are the cars?

I am thinking on making of starting a collection of some of my Favorite cars that are in GT5.
 
Have any of you ever thought that these cars may not be in the game. They may have had a whip around of the employies at pd and collected up their model cars to use in the ad. These cars may not be in gt5, just wanted to soffen you ready for this possible blow.

I appologise greatly if there is evidence of all these cars being in the game I'm just sad to say at the moment I think its too good to be true.
 
Thats amazing how a video with random toy cars may turn out to be clues as to what cars could be in the game. I wonder will the slide be one of the tracks in GT5? :)

This. I don't see the direct relevance of the ad to GT5 at all. It seems to me that the ad is about cars, not GT5. I'm sure some of them will be in GT5 because it's got 1,000'ish cars...there's bound to be some crossover.

Did you miss the Gran Turismo logo? I don't think this would exist if it wasn't for GT5.
 
I'm sure there's a Ferrari 599 Panamerican 20000 there, but i was unable to get a good picture. But at 00:38 you can see the side of it

they obviously knew that we would examine every frame of video to discover new cars.
So I bet they only picked GT5 cars.

you're right. From the front it kinda looked like a Chevy Astro van, but you're right. Haven't seen the Pajero truck since GT2. At least the non-racing version. And then it's dimensions were off.

I was thinking the same thing. Why would they bother having classic cars just for the commercial?

Keep in mind this is a Gran Turismo 5 commercial. The shooting has been professionally prepared. The making-of reveals they had 2 spares of many of the cars involved. I don’t think this the result of a random pick in PD’s “employes treasures”. I’m pretty sure that the cars that can be identified in it are there on purpose. They even deliberately blurred one in this clip so that it remains unidentified. (frame check the red car behind the black Mercedes@ 00:17/00:18):crazy:

Also im not sure but has anyone spotted any of the cars which aren't going to be in GT5 such as Porsche.

Ive had a glance through the video and haven't spotted any Porsche, surely this cant just be a coincidence.

I think that's the Toyota FT-86. It appears again at 00:19/00:20.
 
For everybody's information, I'm downloading the youtube video so that frames can be accurately inspected with a video editing program.

Yes, best not to get too excited or take it as confirmed in any way as they could be just randomly chosen instead of handpicked clues.

Also a good point, since this commercial is obviously related to GT5 and the majority of the cars 'chosen' consisting out of the usual suspects making the odd ones out relatively easy to pick out.

Intriguing, interesting and a nice guessing game? No doubt.
Coincidental, irrelevant, and nothing more than a few randomly gathered toycars? Perhaps.
Confirmation? Nope.

I think we're all aware that they might not be in game, and might just represent the cars they were able to obtain, and that it might all just be too good to be true.

However, at one point in the film you can see where new model cars have been unboxed. These aren't models that people had lying around - the type of people who keep model cars in boxes don't hand them over to be pushed down a slide where they will (shock! horror!) crash into other cars at the bottom. These are models that were obtained specifically to film this scene. Of course, they might still just be whatever they could find, but I suspect that models of the Renault Vivaquatre aren't the first thing that comes to hand when shopping for glorified toys.

I remain optimistic.
 
When you see pictures of PD's office you will see it is littered with scale models of cars.

This ad being made with included cars or not, the mood in this thread jumped several orders of magnitude because of it. I say it's sufficient.
 
The red car behind the black Mercedes SLS has been indeed purposefully blurred with a rectangular box. This is the clearest image I could obtain.
What model could it be?

If anyone's feeling brave I think a new thread would be a great place to keep track of what cars we have been seen specifically in the advert.
