Lol the Kaz toilet jokes hahaha. He got out,He figured out why it kept happening to him

I've never been a big fan of Jalopnik but I'll give them a lot of kudos for breaking this one. To have Kazunori himself confirm the discs are being burned is huge news. I truly hope this is correct. And assuming it is, it will likely mean a release date within the next month and not in 2011 as many, including myself, began to suspect. Because a 2011 release date could have easily meant January or February or March.

I have to admit, I was worried. And I think for good reason. Despite all the demo builds which have been making the rounds at E3, Gamescom, TGS, the infamous Best Buy Demo and the Paris Game Show, none of those demos featured ALL of the new features together at one time (detailed physical and mechanical damage, rain, night racing, pit stops, etc). All we seemed to get were bits and pieces here or there. Maybe E3 was too early but I would have thought by Gamescome and certainly by TGS, that they should have had completed builds ready to show. Perhaps not GM ready games but the full game should have been well into Beta Testing at that point. The fact that we never saw full details so close to it's release left me more than a little suspicious about any firmware issues. I personally suspected that the PD team have been burning all nighters for the last several weeks trying to complete what was likely a buggy mess. And that may well have been the case.

It may surprise many people on this forum to know that a great many PS3 owners never take their PS3 online. Sony on the other hand, is fully aware of this. Games released for the PS3 by any developer, have to pass a Sony QA process. If Sony determines that critical bugs are found, the title will not be released. Patchable errors are approved for what Sony considers 'minor' playability issues. And when October came and went without any update from Sony as to a new release date, I began to believe that there was much more going on than we were lead to believe. And this would likely mean another long and agonizing delay that could last for months, perhaps even into the Spring.

But now we know. If the discs are being burned, a release date is eminent. Late November, early December is not unrealistic.

The jokes here are terrible, and Jalopnik isn't going to lie. They are at SEMA, as is KAZ. If they said they spoke to him, through an interviewer than it's the truth. If KAZ said the game is being stamped to them I expect it to be the truth as well.

To be safe, I will not believe anything until GT5 is in my PS3.

For all we know, that sign language kaz is using could mean squashing(game)bugs.

Jalopnik is a total 👍 to me. A hundred percent trustworthy when it comes to video games, since they don't give too much attention to virtual motoring world and hence any joke or hoax would be unlikely to come from them.

Jalopnik is reliable, I mean its not my chosen place for video game news, but on the topic of SEMA, its in my top 3 websites for news.

Trust it or not, your choice, I know I am, I've been frequenting their site for years and never been led astray.

He give somme thought about his first drive on GT5.
He says he only play with two cars on two tracks(SLS and Citroen on Roma and Toscana), so it's a bit tricky for him to give a full review.
All in all he's having good time. He thinks it's a very good looking game.
He love's the feeling on tarmac, but not so much on dirt. As he played only the demo he feel some regrets about the co-driver notes and the shortness of the stage. Not true to real rallying.

Then he speaks about gaming. That he start with Colin Mc Rae Rally and today he play GT from time to time due to his busy schedule.

At the end he give some advice to improve in GT5: Learn to keep the best trajectory, find the right braking point then you can progress.

Thanks alot mate 👍 ,interesting his comments about the C0-driver.

I'm still kind of new here; what's with the bathroom jokes?

There was a video of an interview someone had with Kaz during a game show, and someone put subtitles to his Japanese talking about how he got locked in the bathroom, and thus was the real reason to delay the game (from March to November) and how he had to continue to develop the game within the bathroom. It was pretty funny but a lot of people actually got really offended by it for some stupid reason. I'm sure someone will post the video below

Right, now that palaver is (nearly) over and done with, can someone go back through this thread and retroactively delete all the silly negative comments from lots of very pessimistic souls on here (and immediately delete those still thinking the worst for some reason). I'll be playing GT5 on Xmas day, for that I'm thankful!

Jalopnik is good guys. Let your doubts go and get excited. :)

GT5 is Gold!
Or as Murray Walker would say GT5 is go go go. Providing its true which I seriously hope it is.

At this pace , they should be done in a few days since factory's like this presumably keep running 24 hours a day.

isn't that only disc manufacturing not disc burning?

moreover does same thing can be said with blu ray?

He's not on about My chemical romances new single is he......

You're bogus dude, they only put humor to attract readers, they don't 'make things up'

You're a jaded autoblog fanboy, not everything they post is irreverent rubbish, autoblog is a extremely conservative and dull blog, where jalop inject a good amount of humor to what they write. They're at sema, they found kaz, they question him, he answers, they post it, it's not that hard to grasp.

Everyone put CTznOfTim on ignore for now.

Hey it's for your own sanity that i am giving you a warning...

I just dont want you guys to crash and burn...

Wait and See...

I am NOT trying to be a party pooper... i want to have GT5 in my hands as much as you or the next guy here...

... but the fact that i see you all running around waving both hands in the air... i just think to myself how crazy this situation is and how out of hand you guys are...

Just wait and see for the official announcement, it wont hurt a bit...

Do as you wish, i am going to be happy for you guys giving me entertainment... I will be more happy once Kaz said it himself through a Sony website.

Hopefully we get the disks by the end of November ;) 👍

Peace Out...

So how does the burning process work?

Are digital files sent to burning plants across the world and then distributed from them? Or is it all produced at one plant and then shipped world wide?

If there is a plant in the UK, USA, Japan, Germany, Canada etc, then this game could arrive a lot sooner than some expect.

It is one thing to say Jalopnik doesn't take things serious. But are you actually implying that they completely made this up?

Thanks, at least someone a bit more rational around here...

His gesture was to described how he made the decision to take out MCR...

I dont know myself, but i just want to be proven WRONG... can anyone of you certify with me that i am wrong?

I just want to be proven wrong by anyone of you or by Jalopnik if they have more proofs.

Wait and See mode ;)

Thanks alot mate 👍 ,interesting his comments about the C0-driver.

Not so much as he plays the demo only.
In the demo the co-driver is silent.
It is said that in the full game the co-driver is active an talkative and the rally stages are randomly generated.

you're not rational, you're deluding yourself.

Guys you're HELARIOUS!:lol::lol: I LOLED so much at all the comments under Kaz's pic, awesome!👍

That's a good one, I'll have to find it.

One thing is for sure if the information is correct Sony should put out a statement.

Anybody else smiling now or is it just me.:)

It's just you, my mood hasn't changed because I still don't have the game and don't know when it's coming. :)

I don't think they burn the information on the disks like we do but just print it on it like you see here. And I don't think it goes different with blu-rays. Imagine how long it would take to print 10 million discs with the pace we do it at home. And then it is like 40-60 GB. Would take ages.
I think it takes them a few days to print all 10 million disks. Especially if it is produced by multiple factories on different continents/area's so they don't have to ship it all over the world.
