Guys from there is says "An encoded playstation 3" till "and yes the crash damage bla bla" sounds like full game?

What I find utterly bizarre is how the March 2010 release date for Japan was ever going to happen? What were Sony thinking?
 
The only positive thing I am taking from all of this is that all of the rumours and mumbles we are hearing are pointing to an early/mid december release. No "leaked reports" about it slipping to 2011 or "secret sources" saying they are having further production issues. It might just happen :)

The picture of Kaz running the 'ring at night, I don't think the map is hidden. But one of the map selections. Didn't the TT have various map selections and one had 2 sizes?

I thiks its maybe going the same way as many gaming mini map things. Now the tech is really there, its the idea of only showing the nearest bit of the track, not the full thing. And with the huge tracks, thats gonna be really helpful! :D

Assuming it was the same GT5 we are going to get now (dynamic day\night\weather)...

KY dodged many times this aspect, then started saying that the system was done, but the impact in performance would be a problem.

So is it really far fetched to think that the first delay, was simply to ensure that the system would work properly? (aka, months needed for polishing\optmizing). Otherwise, they could just cut it and have the game released back in March. (or cut something else and meet the 2009, fan expected release...)

I prefer the hood view aswell but could somebody please post a link to this video? For some reason iPhone isn't liking playing embedded videos at the moment?! Thanks very much, I didn't even think we were gonna get a hood cam?

Dont know why youd think that!!! The last like, four GT games have had a hood view... So i think that, as 5prologue's included, five will have one.

They are actually roof cams facing downwards, often it was low enough so it looked like a hood cam but often you still the roof.

Ah yeah, i remember now! Sorry, wild goose chase there... my suggestion, look for gameplay footage from all the demo's, the people on these spend the first ten seconds obsessively cycling through cameras.
 
These articles about PD & auto manufacturers actually made me wonder where PD is heading as a company and how important the GT franchise is to PD in terms of revenue generation? Would future delays with the game even be a matter to PD?

We are starting to see more and more collaborations between PD and the auto industry. Nissan GTR's multifunction display, Citroen GT, X1's are some examples of designs. Then we got prototype simulations such as the Toyota FT-86, and a few bunch. This made me question, why is PD making the GT franchise? Yes, it's a cash cow, but it's also a way to promote its simulation technology to auto manufacturers, who will then go to PD for design and simulation feedback. And once auto design & simulation becomes the big cash cow, PD might actually put GT as a fun side project and not devote all its resources on the game. I'm sure auto manufacturers pay a ton of money to design and simulate cars, and if PD can tap into that channel, it'll definitely make more money than the GT franchise.

I guess PD isn't just a game developer anymore like Turn10. Gamers might hate it, but the fact is PD is moving towards being a consultant and developer for auto manufacturers rather than solely a game developer. The gaming aspect might just be used to promote PD to the public and provide another steady source of income to PD. And if the GT franchise is no longer viewed as top priority at PD...who knows what the future holds for gamers?

Yeah I don't think it is a proper hood cam.

PD is owned by SCEI. GT will be always top gaming priority there. Plus they would probably support any KY\PD adventures with the Auto industry without thinking twice (since it only strengthens the brand).

Thats a pretty serious thinking. But who knows maybe they are going to create their own car brand!

I just read it's a clay model, whether they're building a fully functional one or not I guess is still up in the air

Red Bull is pretty much all about marketing, they should really do it, cause this would be an awesome marketing tool
