It didnt.
It Had:
Cockpit view
Bumper view
Roof view
and a From above/behind view points.

So are you guy telling me that you got the same view in the prologue that you had in GT PSP? In the prologue, you could just see the bonnet and the road. In the PSP version, you could actually see half the roof , part of the windshield and the bonnet (which is completely crappy). Now, speaking of gt5, what is what?

I'm buying a cockpit for GT5 tomorrow, UNLESS YOU STOP ME!

Unless you want Obutto to take my money, perhaps undeservingly, TAKE ACTION NOW!

Oh yeah, and for this thread:

1. Damage might be an option that you can toggle on/off/little/lot/retarded/ect. Some parts of GT5 obviously don't have any option other than retarded.

2. Everyone with GT5 posting pics/vids online is totally retarded, unable to speak english, doesn't give a $%^& about informing anybody about anything, and is incapable of doing anything right at all.

3. We get to have the cars in GT4 PLUS 200 beautiful premium cars. PLUS some more cars at the GT4 standard (better, actually). It's great.

4. Rims in GT4 were done poorly. Most wheel upgrades for the road cars tuners modify are different sizes from the originals, and GT4 just kinda stretched different designs to the wheel space of the car models. As if they were the same size as the stock wheels. (If I remember correctly) It was better than nothing... but I'm glad if such upgrades to a car now alter the characteristics of the car as they should and are a part of the physics simulation. 200 extra-beautiful cars with such a capability is great!
(If its still just going to stretch a rim desgin to the whatever wheel space on anything, without impacting the car's performance correctly, then its stupid retarted that every car cannot have this done, though.)

5. Brake upgrades are IMPORTANT. DAMN. Aftermarket brakes for old sports cars allow a driver to have much more control over braking. They give a skilled driver perfect precision when braking so you are able to threshold brake. Weak(stock) brakes make threshold braking hard/impossible. GT games have represented these differences in past GT games. WTF? I'll get over it. So will you. Nobody will be able to go back to a SD Gran Turismo. Nobody. :)

6. The sound is great. Greater than any other GT game, by far.

7. The tracks that are there, ARE BEAUTIFUL. They're not just pavement. They immerse you in an awesome environment making the drive/race enjoyable no matter what. If you miss some stupid specific stretch of pavement(circuit, course, or whatever), then recreate the aspects of it you want in the track creator!

I'm still hyped for this game. Nothing posted on this board has changed that.

Well another user who only just got the game has posted some really good damage shots.
yeah but not so good as the damage system in some old videos... I hope amar to have some news about it....

I dont have a PSP so cant comment on PSP view, but prologue view Is a Roof view (not a view i Use BTW),and from what i have seen some cars were better than others with regard to positioning.

Edit: +1 Owen
A Demio Sport!! woohoo

Oh how I love this! New cars by golding the licences, will be so much fun!

Yeah, i'm loving that too!! At least we should get some nice fast cars to try pretty sharpish. Although to be fair, I don't think i usually got too many gold's in previous GT's haha

Or use chase cam like me

(runs)

Actually gonna try cockpit view more with this (or another on-board cam on standard cars) as hoping to get a Driving Force GT for Christmas (G25 or G27 prices are just too out of my range), the visibility looks pretty good so far

Also looking at a cheap TV table on eBay to mount the wheel on. And I need a decent HD TV to play it on. Hmm another GT-bankruptcy approaches

With me refusing to believe in the official track list posted, the leaked videos being review copies and with what PD has done in the past, I have come to a definite conclusion. THERE ARE MORE TRACKS TO BE SEEN! ahhh yeah baby. Remember the interview that GT Planet had several months back when they got to ask a few questions about GT5. Well in that interview, the tracks came up. KY stated that there were 20 locations with over 70 variations. Locations not tracks. This is also stated on the official Grand Turismo.com website. Something dawned on me a little while ago. I am at home on vacation until Dec 1st so I am toying around with GT5P til GT5 releases. I was taking a look at the world map on the home screen with the time in all these locations. Coincidence with the 20/70. I thinks not. I think these are the spots that KY has given us tracks. I wrote them all down. Tell me what you guys think. Excuse any misspelling, I had to write and scroll quickly to get them all:
1. Daytona Beach
2. Zolder
3. Estorial
4. Jerez
5. Motegi
6. Tsucuba
7. Monte Carlo
8. Shaghai
9. Imola
10. Fuji
11. Suzuka
12. Monterey
13. Brands Hatch
14. Silverstone
15. Magny-Cours
16. Nurburg
17. Le Mans
18. Sonoma
19. Monza
20. Spa
21. Hockenheim

Add these to the original tracks from previous GTs, all the variations along with everything else GT5 has to offer and we have a title can only be beaten by GT6. I am so pump right now. 7 days and counting. Even if I have wishful thinking at least it is preventing me from being negative at this time. I can wait and judge when I play for all that.

I like building my cars up slowly, like I only ever use my own garage in arcade mode because I don't want to be able to drive an Enzo straight out of the box, I want to earn it. But that's the beauty of GT, you can do either, and acing licence tests is a nice shortcut to earning some good wheels :)

I think i ll be fine with the mediocre damage...it s not really that bothering, may sound strange but I d prefer to have properlly functioning clutch I mean not just on off style but rather analogue and if not applied properly the engine would stall:) actually more than damage I care about the collision physics....I m a bit puzzled because what I have seen in the leaked videos does not seem to be on the same level as what was shown in the "roll over trailer" a while ago....maybe it s because in these videos the skid recovery function - as ammar named it was enabled. On the other hand I agree it is dissapointing that they made us believe that the damage would be much more extensive through the trailers and playable demos and kaz mentioning bolts flying of the damaged nascar cars:grumpy:.....But maybe only maybe we will get some surprised though cant think of any really logical reason not including it right from beginning in the game

Just checked out amars thread. I really appreciate rkd and tekkens efforts over the past few weeks, but WOW it is great to see someone going through it methodically and thoughtfully. That is THE thread to watch...

Only amar212 will be able to confirm this.

Well , that's very wishful thinking. But also I'm wondering why they would put the weather on for those locations. Just seems strange. Although , the tracklist you just posted would satisfy me for the next 10 years. :P

He is a surgeon afterall:sly:

I also wonder about this. It could be unlocked later on, who knows. I mean I wouldn't suspect it'd be hard to implement a weather and day/night cycle since its just a background effect which is a completely different layout from the track. The only thing they'd have to worry about is making puddles on each track.

You start out in the go kart races at first wich takes a few days to complete, then you're given 3k, you go to the used lot with that.

not looking for jokes, looking for an answer to my question.

BUMP, does anyone know how much cash you start with in GT5?

that should be plenty for a civic or mx-5 :sly:

awesome, he got recognition from Kaz...what an honor, too bad he's on break right now, he'll be really pleased when he comes back

Who exactly? Who is this guy that got reconition?

I would think all the tracks mentioned would be available in the future as DLC.

just cross-posting this for those who hasnt seen it yet..

RDK, just for your notice - I got the same message "Not Available in this Version" when tried to go to Community.

Since I know I have final retail, it seems that game will receive a lauch-day patch in order to activate many options that are related to online servers and such. By that Patch, all offline versions will be updated in the same fashion as Prologue was.

One thing I do not get - is it true that you couldn't advance beyond Lv. 17 or is it typical internet miss-interpretation?

Regards, a.

so it looks like RDK, tekken and amar have the same retail version of the game
