If anyone could find the car delivery video a link it here I would really appreciate it. It's the only one I didn't see and I can't find it anywhere.

Reali doubt the disc needs to be full if it is, if they wanted more they could easily do it. BDXL discs can hold up to 128GB of memory and i highly doubt the game has used that much, agree?

We should also remember the amount of content we are getting for the same price as other console games. We seem to keep forgetting this point and always find something "missing/lacking" in the game.

I'm thinking about buying a strategy guide at Gamestop, but I'm not sure if it will the same guide from Amazon.

you can't use bdxl in ps3 though so gt5 uses about 50GB

I'm sure the 2 guides are the same because I had checked their ISBNs a while ago.

Edit: Oh sorry, I compared BN to Amazon, not gamestop. But as far as I know, the only strategy guide at the moment is the Essential Track Guide by Prima.

yup. this. kaz has made refrence to the 50 gb size, which is a dual layered BR disc. i know sony where optimisizng, or trying to get larger disks, but i never knew that they are out already? or at a stage for some sort of use.

Yea i know, im very happy with what we're getting :) i reali cant wait for the game, just letting the guy know thats not the reason :)

I would think all the tracks mentioned would be available in the future as DLC.

Polyphony Digital President Kazunori Yamauchi :

"Let me be clear on this. There is a massive amount of content in this game, I don't think there are many teams that can put as much into a game as we can." he said. "The launch of the game isn't a start, we are releasing the full game"

"Everything we want to put in the game is on the disc when it ships"

Blu-ray discs normally have 1 to 3 data layers. Scientists have made a 20 layer disc and are looking at a 60 layer disc.
That's 1500GB or 1.5TB per blu-ray disc. Would need new playstations though.

Something for PS4 to include.
The future is not Download only content (for games as well as other entertainment), as content will be massive and Broadband provision is changing to become limited by capacity even though speed is getting faster...

I had pre-order my copy of Prima Guide Essential Track it from Amazon.com (USA), it was supposed to be released on the November 23 & still shows that on the website, but received an e-mail yesterday notifying me that the release date is now pushed back to November 30.

That's not to say that there will definitely not be patches, updates and DLC. That's just saying that the game is complete as-is, and that they aren't going to purposely hold content back that could've shipped on the disc just so they can sell it as DLC.

Funny how you forgot to to mention the next sentence. :ouch:
In the following sentence Kaz said
"Having said that, we do have a sizable online team that will look after it once it's launched"...
Also he will not have final say on things like dlc those choices lay with Sony and if there is money to be had they want to be in on it.
Oh yeah he also mentioned if there is enough call for bikes in gt5 they could easily be a dlc addition.

There will be DLC. Game companies are in the business to make money and DLC makes money period. Every company says the game is complete to shed the fear that the consumer is buying an incomplete game and will have to fork over extra money for the complete experience. There will be DLC and patches always are needed... When the DLC will happen is anyone's guess.

I would assume that DLC tracks would be the GT4, and before tracks like Seattle and Motegi. They will save the new tracks like Spa for GT6.

Perhaps when the game's in our hands and we've all had a chance to put a list together of what we would've liked to had, we can start a thread that lists such things. Not just "oh put this car in or whatever"; although, a thread for cars and/or tracks can also be started. Once we've made a solid compilation of things we'd like to see, a master list can be devised listing how many people desired which feature. And then maybe, that list can be forwarded on to Sony/PD by whoever's the most connected on this site.

Just a suggestion; and no, I wouldn't mind overseeing such a compilation.

I know. But it's funny or odd that the president of PD didn't just flat out say Yes we will have DLC.
When a company plans to offer a product or DLC...they have that planned from the very beginning..

He put that last sentence like a politician...kicking the can down the road as not to offend people.

"we do have a sizable online team that will look after it once it's launched"

That doesn't smell right... "look after it" "once it's launched" ? i.e (we'll think about it then)
He doesn't know yet ? THAT'S odd !

What is the recommended force feedback strength setting for a G27. You can set it from 1-10 and I have mine set to 10. Should I change this??

I think by looking after he doesn't necessarily mean "launching DLC", it can be mere patching, updating or correcting small bugs...

The reason why there is 10 settings is to give YOU the driver the choice.
How can anyone else know what you prefer as a driver?

Surely it is posted already but just in case.

Time change on Top gear test track confirmed ?

The We Love Cars video is sweet but also pretty short, after all of those stills on that blog (and the resultant thread in GTP)! At least they are all cars in the game, pretty sure I saw a model Mitsubishi Starion (production version) in the previous ad with the model cars

OK OK i'm not gonna say "waaah why wasn't this car in the game" but...OK why wasn't it in any of the previous games? And this game? Oops...

Also for Australians:

Those without a PS3 might want to check out the Harvey Norman website.

Preorder 320Gb PS3 + GT5 for $487.

I'm pretty sure its an error (and should be the 160Gb) but I'm going to try and capitalize on it this evening after work.
