I think initially it may be quiet but then people will want to organise some gloriously private GT5 races online and here is the perfect place.

Sorry to quote a GIF, but what's the track with the drifting cars at the end?

Don't think the gtplanet servers can handle the 24th of November madness.
@R16 turbo also what cars?

Germany will help you out.... :)

Prologue didn't have the upload feature but GT5 should be able to upload to YT.. (At least as far as I know)

(In Prologue you were able to save replays to HDD but only as "ingame-replays" not in other format such as .mpg .avi etc.)

or untie us and let us float off into the atlantic

thats what i thought thanks

Could anyone please tell me what the red drifting car is after the monte carlo shot?

I think this place will be insane the day before the release date. Once Europe release time comes, we'll see at least 30% of traffic gone. People would probably make a thread about "I'm going to pick up GT5 now!!! *Cry*" or "I GOT GT5 $$$$!!!" and those who got the game would make a post there and talk about the long install. Then they would disappear to play the game.

I'm hoping that my EB does midnight launch for GT5 here, so I won't have to sit here and read about people getting the game...However, I'm quite annoyed that all my assignments are due on the 26th and 29th, which means I won't be able to enjoy myself until December..:guilty:

If this Camaro and Vette are an example of Race-Mod, then look closely at the interior, not just an added rollcage but seemingly a fully stripped interior (and therefore remodelled) as well as opposed to the tuned cars in Prologue whereby only a few rollbars and a new steering wheel were added.

I think it is after race mods. I just checked the car list, and no tuned Camaro or corvette ZR-1 are listed.

analog : but if race moding cars is limited to only specific ones, and if the mod is entirely proposed by the game, what's the point in it ?

Because it gives you a racing modified version of the car to drive?

Yeah, right, like I didn't know... :)
No, I mean, you are not free to choose any car you want to mod or the way you want to mod it.. I find that very decieving...

Its the racing modification, like it was in GT2 and the original GT. What is decieving about it? The fact it is not for all cars? They said that when they said they would be back.

Thanks, i've missed that. Anyway, since the Camaro seen in the trailer doesn't appear as RM in the list, what kind of mod could it be ?

Random question about protected save game... if I upgraded my hard drive, would I be able to back up then transfer everything over from the old one to the new one, and have the save work? Because I need a HDD upgrade at some point and I don't want to start the game and get a new HDD a few months down the line and have to start again.

How about start using the bigger HDD BEFORE you start a game that you cant copy over??? Would that not just avoid the problem completely???

Since it seems the interiors are completely remodelled (and the exterior too, at least altered using the Premium 'shell' as a base) might explain the limited number of Race-Mod availability unfortunately.
This would effectively mean modelling 2 cars entirely although parts of the interior and exterior (already modelled for the road version) are shared so I guess it would take less time than building a Premium car from scratch but still it would take quite some time I reckon.

And to add on, racing mods were meant to be specific designs and not every car in GT2 had racing modifications available, so I don't see why you had those expectations in the first place. It makes sense too..Racing mods = new car = more work. You just can't expect PD to throw out racing mods for all cars, that would be like 2,000 different cars.

Protected saves should work with the transfer and back-up option.
I did a transfer from my fat to a slim a few months back and all saves work
