Youre forgetting, the only car they showed that happen to is one that is fabulousley destructible in game!

How about start using the bigger HDD BEFORE you start a game that you cant copy over??? Would that not just avoid the problem completely???

Indeed it would! But money is a bit of an issue, but if I have no other choice I would do it. I've found a 640GB HDD for £40 which is very tempting.

Protected saves should work with the transfer and back-up option.

:D That Corvette with the RM really looks very close to the C6.R :)
I guess it will make up for it, and will even be faster, although it would have been nice to have the GT1 and GT2 C6.Rs in addition to the C5-R.
By the way, the Camaro looks sweet as well!!

I don´t think it will be any faster.

The race modded cars in GT2 were significantly slower than their racing spec counter parts.

Try race modding an R34GTR and compare with a JGTC Skyline model, you will see the difference. They don´t have the same aerodynamics, so if it´s still the same situation, those cars will feel like "half of a racecar".

And to add on, racing mods were meant to be specific designs and not every car in GT2 had racing modifications available, so I don't see why you had those expectations in the first place. It makes sense too..Racing mods = new car = more work. You just can't expect PD to throw out racing mods for all cars, that would be like 2,000 different cars.

They wouldn't work on the Standard cars anymore (heck even changing rims isn't possible anymore) so it would by definition only extend to the Premium selection in the first place.
Of those roughly 200 Premium models you can easily deduct the ones which aren't logically going to need a Race-Mod (race and rally cars) or where it would be "inappropriate" (WW2 Volkswagens, priceless one-off Miura, etc.).
So it only could be possible for "normal" roadcars (including supercars) anyway, not sure how many cars that would leave whereby it could be implemented but I doubt it would be far over, say a 140 cars in the first place.

Its the racing modification, like it was in GT2 and the original GT. What is decieving about it? The fact it is not for all cars? They said that when they said they would be back.

Yes, but i expected a little more than 17 our of 1031.

I thought the standard cars would be easier, since it would be just different specs, paint job and maybe a wing.

Shame i won´t be able to reproduce my rainbow 93´Civic from GT1. (just an example).
 
Thats a cool advert 👍 watching that has given me the biggest GT smile in quite a while. Hope the u.k gets one soon.

The whole kevin butler Advert/video thing as been quite a coup for sony. i know there will be a few that can't stand him, but i can't help but laugh when he is on screen/video/confrence. A genuine sony advertising masterstroke.
 
Just got an email from HMV, my order has been dispatched. Knowing the UK postal service, I expect to be playing it Monday at the latest. Had never used HMV before for a pre order, but very happy with their service so far. So if anyone else has a pre order from them, check your emails as it may be on its way!

Dispatched already, even if you get it Monday that's still 2 days early.
 
Can anyone tell me if the GT5 UK version would has PAL-multilanguage language, or it would has only english language?

Maybe the Veyron is linked to the tuning and thats part of the reason for keeping it standard, either way those two cars look very good! I do wonder why one has some 'graphics' down the side.
 
Might just go and order one from HMV , i might get one sent out before my present pre-order lol

Sorry if this has been asked/answered already, I couldn't narrow a search down well enough to find the answer.

All the leaked videos seem to be coming from Europe, and they show the driver on the right hand side of the vehicle. Will the U.S. version show the driver on the left side?

just to let you know, often, although it may say dispatched, amazon, play etc, keep the packages back as late as possible before sending them, or i think, given to royal mail, and at that point they keep them as late as possible.

I would imagine, its been packed, stamped to go, but just sitting there with loads more stamped and packed gran turismo 5's just ready to go.
