I got the game!!!
It's running right now on my ps3.

Well yeah. Do you have a PS-Eye, and if you do, what is the distance you need between you and the camera to get the headtracking to properly work?

Would I need to be sitting right in front of the TV/cam, or could it register me when I'd be sitting on the couch at maybe 2, 2.5 meters from the camera?

I repeat! I'm afraid we can't map the wheel button on G 25 or G27 for time being.

But i have not made further research.

If it's confirmed, i hope there will be an update on this (even if for me it's not very important, once you know which is for handbrake)

Question amar said adding custom soundtracks and playing them while racing affects Glitches ,tearing and what not is that true and how badly does it affect them?

Just called my local Best Buy. They said they have a buttload of them in stock, but they aren't letting any go until the 24th.

I remember reading last night one GTP'er got a copy from a shop, cannot remember his name though. Last message he write was that he was installing then he never came back :(
 
Amazon France emailed me to say they have sent out my GT5!
Estimated delivery date - 24th.
Maybe i'll get lucky and it will be here before the 24th....i can only dream :)

Thanks for the info on the G27. I can't see you said anything about the clutchpedal. You mentioned the H-shifter but not the clutchpedal. Would you mind to check this out please? (bet you know to use the triangle button). Sounds great already, but if pedal also works that would be fantastic.

With the G27 can you use the paddle shifters?

I imagine if you were sitting that far away, any slight turn of the head would mean you're no longer looking at the screen anyway. If you're really close at least you get a few inches in each direction.
 
I can't believe most places in my area aren't even doing a midnight release for Gran Turismo 5. I think the only place would be Wal-mart because they are opened 24 hours.

Yeah I can't wait. But I play on a PC screen (Samsung 931BW[1440*900]) and the render of GT5p is quite raw. I see every graphic flaws. I know it looks better on TVs. But I'm very afraid of waiting so long for a game that looks not se beautiful. Sorry but screens we all saw these years were antialiased, better shader than PS3 real time render.... that do not reflect the real game render at all!

I don't think he said that... the opposite in fact, adding a blank MP3 to his soundtrack solves a problem he had.

4-5 retailers .. the big ones don't want ... the smaller ones don't have the copies yet : P

no big deal 24 is the day and it's near !

Well close up or far away, you'd want your eyes to be fixed to the same point anyway.

The jagged lines aren't from the game, that's how the image was sized if that's what your looking at, also the quality of the images isn't that great at all, go to the other threads with images, that's what you should be comparing them too.https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=132225 there's a link for ya.

Too bad, I wanted to play GT5 this weekend :(

I'll try to convince some retailers tomorrow, just in case...

There seems to be no restrictor plates as the cars hit 380 kph at Daytona on the first lap of the pit stop video.

I think he mentioned this (maybe)but can't find it ,maybe I was wrong but my eyes are too tired to search for it.
 
How can i activate the clutch?

For custom soundtrack, i won't import music now, so i won't be able to respond to this.


It's confirmed, we can't map the button for G25 G27 now
 
This may have been addressed, but does anyone know much about what online will entail?

ie. Will it be possible to set up private rooms to race with particular friends if we want?
