Hey now, I used to work at Gamestop and I knew just about all games that were coming out at the time. I didn't limit myself to just one particular system and a few games. I was there to help customers.

Guess that's why I always had people coming to my register and asking me stuff.

EDIT: Now days, they just let anybody work there. It's a shame.
 
Haha! I liked your answer. Let them see and play the GT5 themselves and then we'll see their reactions...
 
After racing it for the first time from the GT5 kiosk demo, I know EXACTLY what I would tune with the SLS AMG... I would definitely modify the car to not slide around so easily. I swear my car was a drift car after going Professional with TCS turned off. Either that, or put on a rear wing to add some weight to the rear of the car.

This is going to be great!

I had a similar expierence to this just recently. I went one of my local gamestops the other day, and when i proceeded to ask them questions about GT5 (Mind you i already knew about the Nov 24th release date) I got a smug remark from the one guy, "You mean the so-called ultimate driving game". I then proceeded to say no, "The Ultimate Driving Simulator". Then the guy next to him try's to tell me that the game has been delayed until further notice blah blah blah.

I really, really, really wanted to tell the guy to hop on this site so he could see the picture of the 'Leaning tower o boxes of GT5' as i like to call it, but there was a line bulding up so i didn't bother.

Were there any giant Rock Band peripherals handy enough to launch at these bafoons? Oh well, too many potential "witnesses" anyhow.

And I know exactly what I'm going to do the Megane RS: Paint it White, Red rims, Sports Tyres, CF bonnet(unpainted), weight reduction 2, semi racing suspension and a sports exhaust - who said the R26R wasn't in the game!!
 
Many of thoose who pre ordered GT5 in Norway at CDON got their game in the mail saturday :)

Including myself :)

LMAO, actually there was. And quite close to me at that. But yeah to many witnesses. Would've been an epic moment tho.

If it were to happen, it would've been my first thread.

Looks like I will have to wait until midnight on Tuesday to get my CE.. Seconds are starting to feel like hours now:nervous:

That's one hilarious video, though. Yeah, I prefer going forward like usual. Oh, and I didn't know it could go that fast on reverse :lol:

In aussie the EB games staff maybe useless but here in NZ the EB staff are well informed and just as excited about the upcomming release as much as I am :)

Very funny, indeed. As for the speed in reverse, since there are no gears, it is able to achieve full speed going backwards.

I forgot to cancel my CE order from them, so pure luck. I ordered the SE from someone else, in the mail before wednesday i hope :)

For those in Australia waiting for GT5/PS3 bundle pack info, I have the Harvey Norman catalogue coming out Monday & the GT5/PS3 bundle pack is on the front page for $487.00
 
Three days to go till launch, I keep waking up in the mornings fearing this headline:
GT 5 delayed till further notice

Bought my copy yesterday at Auchan supermarket :)
Could be handy information for other people living near border of France like me(Auchan is well known over the borders for its typical french wine, bread cheese...).
No problems language-wise, and I only paid 55 euros (a lot less than in the place i pre-ordered). Good times :)

Thankfully we know that the game has been shipped out and some people already have it. So theres no fear when clicking on the news section on here 👍

Wait, no gears means there is no reverse gear. You can only go forwards in a single drive kart.
Anyway it's ridiculous and a mistake by PD to have this happen.
