I think the "TOTAL ANARCHY IN CITY STREETS" headline would overshadow that one. News of overturned Nissans being hurled through electronics store windows, roads becoming an obstacle course of despondent suicidals and belligerent hooners... The details of the cause of such mayhem would be buried somewhere on page 5 or 6.

Wait, no gears means there is no reverse gear. You can only go forwards in a single drive kart.
Anyway it's ridiculous and a mistake by PD to have this happen.

I know for sure that there are no more than a single gear in a go-kart. I don't speak about high powered ones that have normal gearboxes. So, indeed IMO there shouldn't be able to drive backwards. But, big deal, it is funny after all!
 
Funny the GameStops I went to, they knew the official release date and they told me why they wouldn't have a midnight launch for it.

Only a few people preordered GT5 here so I gotta wait til 10am Wednesday to get mine.

Might aswell do it, what the hell..Im just gonna run to the store while its installing and grab the essential items il need for being locked up in my house for 3-4 days.

Ain't you supposed to install the game in the background, hence, be able to start up GT5 while it install,and just restart the game after roughly 40 minutes of checking out stuff ?

Having it in my hands will be an epic moment, the 10 minute drive home will feel like an hour.
 
Hi gtp users, I have a really important question, some of my team mates are G27 users, they are worried about some rumors saying G27 f1 style gears will not work in GT5 :ouch: I've heard G27 cluch is ok, anybody know sometnhing about the pads behind the wheel?

There is a mandatory install of about 250 mb, then there is the optional install of about6.4 gb. you can start playing imediatly and the game will decompress during game play but apparently you will have longer loading times etc if you don't do the optional install

Ah yes, I see. Well, I suppose if I have managed to wait for GT5 now since GT4 came out, another 40 minutes wont hurt me, unless ofcourse all the adrenalin and excitement gives me a heart attack, in which case, at least the game will be ready to be played by some other happy bloke :sly:

Well, untill everything in the game is done, at level 40 at both A-spec and B-spec we can't really be sure where it is at. We can only hope that it will show its beautifull face somewhere, and soon :drool:

has anyone shown what happens when the tyre indicators turn fully black, and has anyone shown what happens what you run out of fuel?

also why is it that the AI always seem to brake too much through corners.

Seems PD should have put in an option for doing a full install in the background all 10GB of it, as well as 6gb then remaining background install option. What is the final install amount if you don't do the initial complete install and let it do a background install once the initial 250mb is done?

I realy don't know, the 6.4 gb can be done in the background (sort of) but as i said it will affect your loading times if you don't do the initial install
 
when i watched taxi gamers stream it was installing in the background for about 8 hours (yea i sat there for that long)

and even when he had finished streaming he was still installing.
