Umm dude I just cleared all that up about 1 page ago that it was all made up and fake, but KY did say GT5 will "create a new definition" in simulators so maybe the game may actually have all those features I just made up.

But the questions is, is there enough power in the PS3 to do all of those things? I personally think there is but many people say it's just not possible this gen.
Considering the amount of content Eden plans on packing into TDU2, I'd say the PS3 is more than capable of small details.

On an actually constructive note... there is no new news on GT5. As a result I actually have nothing constructive to say.

^^ Agreed.

So, no news, neither any video from minimax, I guess he used all cars and tracks on that demo, although I remember to see a Suzuki SX4 in an old CES video, there's no how to race it around the ring? Cockpit view please. ;)

Hey guys, what's new? :dopey: I've been gone a while, hopefully there's been some big developments! 👍

The unusually nice weather has me out crashing my bicycles earlier than ever this year! :sly: Let me look over the last few weeks of this thread while I rest some injuries and see what you got thar!

:(

Hmm.. nothing new at all. Plus, the forums have been overrun by super toolbags, new and old! Welp, see you in a few more weeks maybe.

Don't rub it in! I've had to break one up to finish another, but now (as a result of unavailable parts) neither is serviceable :ouch:

And yes, toolbags... A place for putting all your tools. Super you say? Why, what a great idea!

...

What do you mean it's not a good thing?

the ps3 is plenty powerful enough for any game on it now. If there is any indication as to how the ps3 will handle GT5- you can look at GOW III- see how much info they used of the blu-ray disc and if there are any jitters from the PS3 on that game. Sony isn't like Microsoft, when they make something they make it to last. The PS3 is probably double the Xbox360. Just because of the cell processors, the hardware in the PS3 is second to none. It's a Blu-Ray disc player on top of a game machine. Like I said, look at the things GOW III did, then you can imagine how much of a game GT5 will be. The PS3's potential is just being realized... this is a reason why this game is taking so long to come into fruition. Why are we so worried about 3D trees and petty things like paint deformation on the cars from damage? Does anyone realize how much data a Blu-Ray can hold? 50GB+. That's bigger than some people's computers hard drives. I have no doubt GT5 will be the most massive game there is yet.

if we get GOW3 style Antialiasing then there will be no difference between gameplay and replay/photomode images as far as smoothness goes :)

Amazingly I read the GOW3 main file is like 5-6 megs only... leaves plenty of room for content

Did anyone else think it was weird that the GT time trail demo was only 200 or so meg? That's tiny, yet they fit a whole track and 2 cars into it. Lets do some math :)

50 gig blue ray = 250 tracks, 500 cars or 125 tracks and 1000 cars

To be honest, i hope the file size in the final version is larger because of all the work they have been doing improving everything. So i'll let them reduce the track number to 70 to give PD some more memory to do this.

As for Grandcobra, you come out with stink like that! Poop. You poopmouth, with poop out of your mouth. Hows you car by the way, heard you had some problems. I know where you live.

I think you have a problem...a very serious one...👎👎👎

Ozybolary, I think they used lower-res textures for the TT Demo.
Lots of people have been complaining about bad graphics in that game.

Actually when the demo released lots of people said how amazing they were.

I hope we get an option on fuel loads in multiplayer. Pitting adds so much more to a race.

We had pitting in some longer GT4 races, but there weren't many long races and most of them I would have been using B-spec for so I only had one or two races with pit stops in the end.:ouch:

I would like to be able to change fuel/tire strategy for LAN races also, currently (GT4) you get a full gas up and the same kind of tires you start the race with.
Shouldn't be any different than/for online multiplayer.

And at the same time get out your Move thingy and change the tires.
Shouldn't be too hard for cars with 1 lug nut/tire but for the common production car (not all) and NASCAR cars which have 5/tire, mishaps could happen, costing you positions on the track.

Textures were same in CES'10 demo.

textures in time trial were worse than Prologue's!

Not only that but, missing some sounds from Prologue as well. Obviously the time trial was pared down as much as possible to keep the download size small

They said the TT used essentially the same graphics as Prologue and was in no way a representation of the final GT5, how can you guys not remember all this stuff?:odd:

I wonder what the HDD install will be for it. I'd think it'd be pretty hefty and i'm running out of space soon. Don't really want to take stuff off either. Might have to look at a new internal drive.

I think that in GT5 apart from the textures upgrade, we will see some effects like the blaze (is this the way it's called?) getting out of the exhaust, which in fact appears in GT4 and GT PSP.

I got something like a 500 GB (as advertised, truthfully smaller) HDD. It was easy to install myself so there's no excuse not to really.👍
