I can provide a little non-news if you like?

Kaz has been practicing for the 24hr Nuerburgring race on Gran Turismo, because there's too many tourists on the 'Ring itself.

That's what I call no news ;), after all, Kaz is a boss, he'll be having 24 hours of fun while his employees will be "rushing with the game", :lol:, let's go Kaz, show them that you're not that slow in racing as you are when developing games. :O
 
He actually came over to see the GT Academy finalists at Snetterton (near Norwich, England, if you're unfamiliar) a month ago, then got stuck here when Iceland exploded. I believe he was driven to the 'Ring - having intended to fly back to Japan, then back out for the race.

So Eyjafjallajokull has had more of an effect on GT5's development time than GT Academy has.

Edit: Though I suppose since he was here to see the final two's training, it's all GT Academy's fault really. The bastard.

And except for the 2 dimensional trees, I believe soon reality will try to copy the perfection of Gran Turismo.

Edit: Shadows in car and around the car are consistent for me, but the trees or railing do not have the shadow yet. Since I focus on the cars, I will not notice in while driving.

Those shots look amazing. Great as they are I hope we'll get confirmation about some pressing matters like: will there be weather effects? Cockpits for all cars? That kinda thing. You know what, they don't even have o show us anything, just confirm those major points and I'll settle down. But again, great news about a new trailer: awesome!

You know someone is truly elite when they roll out onto the outside grass there doing 160+ mph and work the car back onto the tarmac like it's nothing.

"But our SLS also runs on the grass, thank goodness" lol. Looks like he might have made a little wall contact, but still a great recovery!

He hit the guard rail, you can even see it. ;)

Anyway, the video didn't really show something new and it's just promotion, the screenshots are more interesting imo. :D

Already done - the properties were not new and developed for the Time Trial, but existing ones.

Not to mention the fact that QA is done by Sony, so unlike other devs who have to do their own QA and then submit it to Sony QA for PS3 title release, the QA process for PD is significantly more streamlined and simpler.

I'm with Famine on this, the TT hasn't affected GT5 at all. The only thing it has to do with PD is the fact it's their game that is being used, which is all of a track and two cars, not to mention it's a pretty old build anyway.
