Well, it doesn't say the release date is what will be announced but even sceptical old me ispretty much expecting it to be.

I hope PD keep the NASCAR license well into the next generation. Maybe on PS4 they'll be more RAM to run full 43 car fields.

[Shocked]Do you watch NASCAR (and you're from the UK?)[/Shocked]

They are present at the 24heures, and like the Nurburgring GP-track it also has another track ( I know it mainly from MotoGP ).................

Starts at 3:00PM in Germany according to what I heard.

Yes a question mark is appropriate here as it just says announcement, although I agree it could mean a release date ( announcement implying something other than news ) it still remains a question.

And maybe it's just me but the "soon" joke is starting to wear thin now............

Did the UK only GT challenge with a drive in the new benz as the prize get discussed?

Whoa hold on dude, there's no official announcement of the announcement , yet, ;) the text on GT official website was suggesting a big announcement at E3, it never said that there will be a release date at E3.

In my opinion, "strongly suggesting a release date", would be more appropriate than just suggesting.

They could mean new screen shots, new game modes, etc, etc. Doesn't say anything about a "release date".
Screen shots?nooo,I wouldn't call this "announcemento"!nevermind,let's wait and see:sly:

Oh lord, the misinformation has already started.

If there isn't a release date at E3 I can see the boards erupting now into, "They said they would give us the release date at E3!" rants.

If you think you have been told you will see a release date at E3, you are wrong, plain and simple.

Come on!!they "must "announce the release date at E3!we had a huge disappointmento last E3 and Sony can't give us another one, they simply can't!!:nervous:

At a special sneak preview this week at the Nürburgring in Germany, we test drove the just revealed Nürburgring 24-hour circuit on the GT5 platform. And we found it simply stunning.

The new game will offer gamers a choice of the GP course, the Nordschleife or the full 24-hour course which is a combination of the two. What impresses more than in any previous version of the GT franchise are the clarity and detail of the track, grandstands and cockpit. As expected the game is more realistic than anything before it, making the sensation of actually being in a car on the circuit more believable than ever.

Given that this writer will be co-driving with GT creator Kazunori Yamauchi in a Lexus IS-F in the 24-hour race this weekend, we practiced on the IS-F and posted times around the full course of 10 minutes flat.

New features of the game include a tyre grip penalty which temporarily reduces grip if you go off the track and onto the grass or into the gravel. It takes around three to four corners to retain full grip again. Drivers will also feel like they are in the hot seat when they crash into a guard rail and sparks fly.

Gamers can also look forward to night driving and 3D driving in the near future.

Stay tuned for more updates on the perpetually delayed Gran Turismo 5 driving simulator for Sony's PlayStation3.

:grumpy:

Why they always have to joke on GT5 release, and the game was delayed only once, damn it. :irked:

They can if you're expecting things they did not even promise, they just mentioned an announcement ( could be anything, although a release date could be announced ).
The only thing I'm looking forward to is the fact that we know now something is at least going to be announced about GT5.
Whatever that actually might be, at least the only confirmation of any new info comes from an official source.

Yeah that's good to hear, that was kinda cool in Prologue.

Note: I didn't say you are wrong if you think they will give us a release date, just that you are wrong if you think that they promised to give you a release date.

They very well could, and I hope they do, give us a release date. But if they don't you have not been lied to.

Now this is what I am talking about it. A tire system that actually has practical application to the gameplay!!
