Funny. People making fun of Turn10's developer (who isn't even bashing GT5) as being over confident, while irony rears its ugly head.

Well, I think the pressure was clearly not enough. Either it should have come out in December, or they should have stuck to their original plan and kept updating GT5 Prologue with engine updates, private rooms and DLC. This is very disappointing. In the time between the first Prologue release and this final game I've made a human being together with my wife and he's already walking around and driving his little toy car. If this continues, then not only will he be able to play GT5 along with me, but he'll be able to beat me at it as well.
 
Just to reiterate, yet again, Kaz intended to produce GT5 first, but SONY changed the game plan along the way with GTPSP. And that wasn't an easy game to create, and using the car models from GT5 rather than GT4 might have something to do with it as well.
 
Just imagine we already could play the complete game only without Mazda Demios, VW Polos, BMW 116i and similar cars. It's about priorities and Demios are obviously very high priority in Kazunoris mind.

GT wouldn't be the same game that's so popular to this day without those entry level cars.. Did you have a ferrari as your first car as a teenager? Most people start with something small and old and GT isn't about just fast cars, it's about all cars in general.

But do you think that another year of waiting is worth it? Someone said that 60% of GT5 work are car models.

I don't care how long something takes to make so long as it's a quality product.

Turn 10 is doing a lot of talking the talk. When Forza 3 comes out, I want to see if they can walk the walk. If so, then kudos. If not, then, they brought it upon themselves. No need to get all bent out of shape whenever they say something about PD or GT5.

If the demo is anything to go by, they have done a great job towards meeting their goals. The final product is looking to be pretty darn nice.

photo mode is now confirmed at 8 megapixel. which is very high resolution. huge pictures.
full 1080p HD is 2 megapixel to give an idea of resolution.

If it just has the faster cars there is no reason for us to play Gran Turismo over any other of the competing sim racers out there. I know a lot of people don't like them and just want their Ferraris and Lamborghinis, but many people also love the smaller cars.

Gran Trusimo to many, Kazunori Yamauchi included, is about the cars. For them, without the cars it is not the same game. The vision was an encyclopedia of cars, not Supercar Challenge.

All the girls i know they love to play GT arcade mode, i actually sold my first PS2 to an old F.W.P cuz she loved GT3.

Morgan sucked, and im pretty sure that Jessica from SRT sucks too. (Based on what i've seen when they test stuff)

Has anything, anything at all been said about GT5 and LAN functionality? I'm actually very worried about this feature being missing on GT5. It was one of the coolest features on GT4.

Excuse my ignorace, but what would be the point of playing this on LAN. Can't you just play in one of the private rooms online?

Being able to gather with friends at someone's house and play on the same room, while drinking some beers and having a good time. Yes, times have changed and you can do it online but there's nothing like a good old LAN party. Let's not turn this on a debate of whether or not you think having LAN is worth it or not, to me it's a welcome addition on every game, which the PS3 games lack.

Can't you just use wifi and run everyones connection off of a router using the PS3's wireless internet?
