Dynamic day night is essential for the 24 hour races. 24 hours of sun is a joke
Unless you spend the summer in the north/south poles. :sly:

For me, I don't care much about having day/night during a 24 hr race (as that's not interesting to me). However, what's interesting is just having more diverse times of day. I want a midnight race with the full moon lighting up the track. I want an early morning track with the sun just above the horizon. I don't need to necessarily have the time of day change during a race, but I do want more diverse times of day.

About, return of night and wet weather, i'm afraid that it can be only wet, night and sunny variation of the circuit instead of dynamic weather:nervous:

Imagine, 20 location (sunny, variable, night and wet variation) = 80 in that case thre is only 20 track....****👎

I hope i'm wrong.
Inclusing variable times of day and weather conditions wouldn't count as track variations, a rtack variation is a change n track layout like Grand Vally forwards, Grand Vally reverse, Grand Vally East forwards, Grand vally East reverse, that's 4 track layouts. If you the game had dynamic of varyiable weather and/or times of day then thoes wouldn't be altering the track layout.

Well I know I will get told somewhere down the line (which I didnt Know about not sharing anything) but Even though the release date has been set for japan I did found Gamestop having it on 2/2/2010. Gamestop Release Date I think somewhere down the line GT5 will end up being on both PS3 and PS2 due to the delays.

Don't trust that date at all. And no way GT5 will end up on PS2.

During the summer, we have a few days here in Iceland where we see the sun pretty much 24 hoursa day :P

When gameblog.fr first revealed details of thier visit to PD and interview with the boss, it was said here that there would be two videos, followed by a video interview.

So far all i recall seeing was:

- 1st round of photos
- 2nd round of photos
- Video of PD
- Preview list of exclusive details to be reveled in interview.

Then nothing more.

Did i miss something, can anybody shed light on this?

GREAT POINT. 24 hours of sun honestly doesn't make sense and would scare the crap out of me as it would be a sure sign of something horribly wrong in our world. If EA can factor in a lighting change over the 4 quarters on the later Madden titles then PD should have the same especially in endurance races. It's almost vital, the night time drive is just as important a factor in endurance races as driver changes and tire changes.

No 2 videos total. We saw the PD tour (video+photos), now we need the video interview.

Amazing graphics

Well now thats some good news... if it turns out to be true. Older F1 cars would be awesome. If anything over the past couple months one thing has become clear to me, GT5 will not just be racing on tracks like HSR and London. KY seems to have this goal to include as many different types of racing styles as possible. It even says on the official GT5 site the game will include "diverse racing styles". I personally think this adds a lot to the longevity of the game... that and the bajillion cars.

I think the same, and I hope so. Because I 'd like to think that Polyphony are using this "extra time" till March, improving the real important things that we saw are green, on the GamesCom and TGS demos, and others: bodywork and mechanical damage, weather and dynamic time.

Number of cars and tracks for me is enough (yes, I miss Porsche, but I miss much much more rainy or night races on GT series ^_^).

I don't trust this guy, period.

I think Kaz said that once they have perfected the calculations for the damage it will be quite a quick process.

If they get it nailed quickly then maybe they will have time to add some stuff that was going to miss the cut.

I just hope that anything added doesn't need " polishing " and it gets put back again.

By the way the whole " march " thing is still a bit vague. Have they actually commited to a date, I have seen the 31st mentioned but nothing official.

I know its still only a japanese date at the moment.

31st of March is the confirmed date of Japanese release at the moment I believe.

:drool:In the TGS gameplay videos we saw a yellow Lamborgini Gallardo lp560-4 with a black stripe across the hood. Some of us thought this was an indication of a livery editor but as you will see around 6:40 on this video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMQMgwouKlU&feature=related

BTW crazy car collection:drool:

that stripe wasn't as big as the one on the video though :p i think the hoods just opened a little in that video

The improvements to the AI, still isn't quite there. The AI doesn't seem to be aware of the gamers car.
The Audi R8 wants move over into the drivers space right after the back chicane at 1:11 & the Mercedes
shoves its way through both the gamers car & the Audi R8 at 1:28.

With damage on it's way, this is one of those areas I hope for improvement.

But this could just be me.

Also another view of the ACR Dodge Viper? at 5:58

GT5 for psp realised before GT5 for ps3 . It seems to me that all the loyal supporters of GT series should have been taken care of first not last

rumors are just for fun and should not be trusted, Porsche will nver be in GT5 maybe in GT6 or GT5 PS4 version.

I presume you work at PD so you know everything, right?

But thats 2010 they dont have time to make porsche for GT5 march launch. Hmm? Maybe a future DLC or GT6.

They can make all models they want and just wait.
