Being able to read french, the article says that the list (of tracks) is not definitive - liste non definitive - so don't bother saying that its confirmation of anything, its just a list of tracks beforehand, so therefore it's pointless.

However it is nice to see that 70+ tracks is said

Maybe the track editor is purely for karts?

Most likely.
I find it funny that every time a "new" article is released about GT5, with pretty much no news in it, we go back 1 month to the previous articles and pretty much rinse and repeat all the arguments and conversations as if though they never happened.

There is a picture of a kart so it means that it wasn't somehow lost in translation and meant something else.

So if they had a picture of a giraffe on rollerblades, you would still take it as a confirmation of rollerblade giraffe racing?
The magazine is in almost no way reliable.

Yes but it makes i more likely not to be a one off mistake if it happens twice is it. When we got the confirmation before some people said that the person may have been miss translated it however now a second person has reported it, it makes it less likely to have been a mistake doesn't it.

True, in the same way the Porsche is shown on the page, but the mag says it won't appear.

But it does say karting will appear in the game next to it, so this is confirmation, much to your (and everyone's) distaste of the magazine.

And how do you know the 2nd person didn't just base his info on the first person? This wouldn't be the first time a magazine has gotten its confirmation from an unreliable source and ran with it.
Again, this is about the magazine being unreliable.

So if I made a blog and posted a picture of a porsche with "confirmed for GT5" next to it, it will also be a confirmation? When it comes to GT5, there is no confirmation unless we see in game pictures, videos, or we have kaz confirm himself. Even then it's iffy.

If the second person listened to the first person....

Edit aarrggh

I thought of that as I was posting that however you would have thought the second person would have run checks and not posted and random £&@* that they saw on the internet. Come on they are actually an official playstation magazine so they won't just put anything in otherwise giraffes on rollerblades might also be in there.

Edit: Sorry got to go so I can't finish this debate.

Thats the thing, so many sources have mentioned karts included in the game. Yes it isn't confirmed 100% but it isn't denied or rejected either as a possibility.

And with another Official magazine saying it is in there, aswell as other sources over the past while saying the same thing i'd say its about 85% possible that the karts are definately in there (again not to repeat myself too much... but to what capacity I don't know.)

Not only that but it has cars such as muscle, prototype, GT compact, concept car describing each class, And it has a design on all the new cars to the series Nascar, Electric, WRC, and the karting.

I see your point.

Just one thing - Why are they unreliable? If its a huge list of things, then just say it's a long and complicated thing.

Actually, they aren't. They just paid some money to have that in the title. They have no ties to sony or the playstation brand.
You would have thought they did, but honestly, this isn't some national security article or anything like that so why would they bother checking?

I still think no.

Some sony bigwig came out with these comments around about the same time modnation racers had been/or due out.
Think he got mixed up.

Lets say its true, do the addition of karts add to the magic 1000 number.
Or do we get 1000 cars plus karts.

Maybe they are overhauling the Career slightly, to incorporate the karts, maybe have seperate licenses for each car class

Maybe start off with karts like most Professional drivers do. Who knows?

Had a couple of seconds waiting for my parents so I looked at this thread again.

You would only need 1 kart of each type:
Rotax
Gearbox
(Asuming that the number of karting class's is something like that.)

And a couple of liveries however asuming liveries wouldn't be counted in the 1000.
