It's a R/C Kyosho Go-Kart:

Its not an "R/C" car. Birel is a chassis manufacture for karts.

To me, Karting is in GT5.

"I don't get it; besides the graphics, it's just another racing game, why do people like it so much?"

Isn't that the cutest thing you've ever read? Kids these days say the cutest things.

just something i've noticed, nothing important, but in the first nascar trailer for gt5, they where using the 2009 cars, so they had the rear wing and the 2009 livery's.

however in the latest e3 trailer, they are using the 2010 cars, with the rear wing, and the 2010 livery's. you can see what i mean in this video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqicsDGfou4&feature=related

at 59 seconds to 1.06, you can see the 2009 cars. and at 2.45, you can see the 2010 cars.
does this mean we will see both sets of cars in the game?

That's not a official trailer, the scenes in this video are from the 2009 trailer.
It's a fantrailer with lots of old and recent material.

EDIT: Just in case I didn't completely get what you mean, I doubt we will see both "sets".

Just thinking. Do you think GT5 could be have a dynamic driver selection-list. whit bad drivers, good drivers, decent drivers, divine drivers. each which there own driving style and talent and maybe whit some real drivers too like Vettel.

In Previous GT-games the "startgrid-list" had only the names of the cars.
in this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oY4cBWYK08A movie at 0:08, there are driver names. (Player 1, Mario) it could be the names of who playing the demo. But maybe its also the case in GT-Life single race?

Could it be? or does the long waiting make me a little crazy 💡

i know, but the two scenes i pointed out where from official trailers right?

LOL @ smoke&slide :D

Of course, I was just confused because I thought you meant they used both styles in one video, which they never did.

That is a compilation of all the trailers that have been shown to us and mixed with the full song. The 2010 e3 trailer is shorter and only the 2010 cars are present. I hope that clears things up for you.

EDIT: G.T.Ace beat me to it.

so you think 2009 cars where just showing that they would have nascar in the game? would be a shame to scrap them...

Has anybody heard any new news about whether or not we will get those awesome real life videos of the race tracks? I know in prologue it was awesome watching them especially for Eiger. I wonder what they would do for their fictional tracks? Maybe show the history of how the track came to life. That would be really cool in my opinion.

I wouldn't expect it going off the fact that they didn't do it with High Speed Ring.

Hmm interesting, Rfactor has mods. it has Gran Turismo mods like high speed ring and deep forest :sly: also GT cars such as the Camaro ss :) I have over 200 tracks 500 cars for Rfactor alone. I'ts a great game love it.... It is one game that does so many things and succeeds.

I've tried rFactor on so many occasions now. It still fails to impress me. The so-called "mods" (there are actually few proper mods, i.e. with modified UI, gameplay etc.) are of mixed and inconsistent quality, and the realism is questionable - especially for the fan-made "mods" and cars. Some are cracking efforts, though - the Historic Touring Car and GT mod (this one is actually a mod) in particular.

Really, rFactor is a bad example; the cars are an odd point - apparently just changing the texture skin qualifies it as a new car? What? Choosing cars in that game is a nightmare anyway, and the grinding in the standard game is no fun. The setups are also a nightmare, unless you're used to ISI sims (which I have never rated, out of the box).

I'm a long-time PC-gamer and sim-racer, but I'm also a day-one (ish) GT fan. I've been reticent to say this so far, perhaps for fear of being horrendously disappointed, but I really think with this iteration, PD are gunning for rFactor 2 - just without the stuffy OCD-Fest that tends to accompany PC sims nowadays...

No other game offers accurate renditions of so many cars - full stop. No PC sim is anywhere near as polished as GT4, let alone what we might speculate GT5 will be. The PS3 is a power house, it's just a bit unusual; sure it doesn't have the brute-force of current x86 kit, but there's a lot of finesse to it, which is why people struggle to code on it (well, actually, it's probably just because it's not x86  although I have heard that Sony's SDK isn't as "good" as Microsoft's - not really surprising, given the relative maturity of the platforms.)

Sorry for the off-topic, but I just don't understand why so many people bum rFactor like they do! I suppose you could the same about Gran Turismo...

Great use of english, made me laugh :) GTR-Evolution is an excellent game for pure immersion i prefer it to rFactor. But nothing beats GT5 (well, what it promises to be). The graphics, features and immense choice of cars is just amazing. GTR3 will be out next year (its been confirmed) so i will be giving that a wirl, but will always revert back to GT5 as my "main game". GTR-Evo makes me to hot anyway, the concentration required online against idiots is massive (full (race-ending) damage), then you are second and the guy in 1st is NOT an idiot, just cutting down a split time makes me feel accomplished haha, such a hard game.

Although, this brings me onto a good thing i saw on it. Someone made a server at the "nurb" with the maximum time allowed for the qualifying. Basically turned into a track day. waiting at the edge of the pit lane in neutral, some guy drives behind, flashes, and the race around the green-hell begins :D . Or just set times to get 1st.

Then you could chill in the pit, chatting (using keyboard) to other racers in the pits, or spectate the other racers on track. (i think you could spectate, not 100% on that).

Basically what im saying is, online track-days would be amazing, espeshally at the nurb. GT5 has lights and horns, so interaction will be possible.

Anyone else think this would be amazing?

I want to be able to put a car bra on my cars, if not then PD has failed!

Then they have failed.

What happened in 2008?

To me, Karting is in GT5.

Yes, Birel is a chassi manufacturer, the Kart in the pic. is an R/C one from Kyosho though.

Well maybe they didn't want to show how they built the track this time around because they hadn't finished the game. I kind of want a the making of GT5 video. So I can see why exactly everything took so long. Although I'm sure just playing the game will show that to me. It would just be a cool bonus thing IMO.

Same here, a making of video would be fantastic and after the long development process, I'm quite sure PD will produce something in the lines of an epic movie, something like "300 of Polyphony" or "Kazunori The Great". :D

That 20 environments things is 20 Photo mode locations - I'm betting on it!

And 70 proper tracks

I'll agree, seeing as 54 of them are probably from GT4. Yay.

Can't wait to see how Valencia looks after seeing the transformation of Suzuka, Fuji, Circuit De La Sarthe and Nurburgring from GT4 to GT5.
