So glad the JZA70 Supra appears to be premium, it was my first car in GT1, GT2 and GT4. I guess I can continue the trend in GT5.

It won the concours d'élégance at Pebble Beach and was chosen by Kaz himself
So back in 2008 it was already a hint of Lamborghini's presence in GT5.

That's not a JZA70, those didn't come in 3.0L, as far as I know.

Is that the main car in the second picture? I'm not too cluey on the historic Japanese cars. My main concern is having 700 Japanese cars and a handful of other world cars in GT5 :nervous:

No it's the regular Miura, I know it's hard to tell them apart because they are frankly basically the same, one being the prototype and the other the production version.
But look at the body-coloured mirror of the P400, the GT5 pic has the chromed and more round shape of the production car and the wipers of both cars pointing the opposite direction.:)

If you had played GT5 Prologue you'd already know that won't happen. I bet the mix will be better than ever. I mean, we have Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti and McLaren for the first time and none of those are Japanese, and we've also seen many American premium cars already, so everyone will be happy. ;)
 
I am sure they are all premiums. It is not wise to show off GT5 with standard cars. By the way, those Japanese sports cars are so iconic and Kaz is making good decision.

Suzuki Cervo is a premium, because GT5P needs some crappy cars or maybe it was a deal done between Suzuki and PD.

You're absolutely right ,I was kind of suspicious too because of the mirror .

Well spotted, it seems like a Turbo A. Still the basic modelling is there, so no reason why they won't have the others.

Why is it not wise? The dumbest decision they've made so far is waiting so long to show us standard cars.
GT5 needs crappy premium cars, yes. They most likely need a few cars from each category.

I have played GT5p as well as GT2, GT3 and GT4 and I'm more than aware of the huge amount of Japanese cars in those games. Sure PD is based in a Japan, I just don't want to see the bias towards those cars as in previous games.
 
Please PD show me orange McLaren F1 LM with big rear wing and I will be satisfied :D

I agree, it was quite hard to find non Japanese cars at the used car dealers in GT4.
 
In the Miura pic, I think that's the Red Bull building in the background?

It's not up to you, though. Unless manufacturers ship car from all over the world to PD, this trend will remain.

Oh ok i was scratching my head trying to think of a track around their facility! You can see a catch fencing to the left which they use on tracks. Makes sense now.

The headlight reflection seems to indicate Madrid judging by the building, but I could be mistaking it for somewhere else.
 
Does it really matter if the car looks like that? :p

I would guess Rome or Spain, or maybe even the Amalfi course in GT4. It kinda looks like the car is under that arch after the long back stretch, but maybe not.
 
New York photomode location maybe? The amount of streets that look like that around the world is immense.
 
Looks like Bad Neuenahr/Ahrweiler which was a background in Prologue, that is actually pretty cool, because it could mean I might be able to take virtual pics in my hometown. ;)
