What im really curious about is why that person in the bottom left is running and where is he going to in such a hurry. :dopey:

on a serious note, I love the look of the menue... I think the book might be an online manual as we had in prologue.. as for the helmet, im curious myself.

The Helmet must have something to do with your drivers or its your stats menu.

Looks like an RPG leveling system to me..

:tup:didn't think of that! im a bit of a sucker for that sort of thing. a bit of a stat whore. personally i think it adds a lot to the game, especially online.

images...

Notice top left they have Merlot / Pinot Noire.

Does this cast any doubt / light on what people think they mean, as in the online snaps, we assumed it was either a driver name (although there was already one...) or a team name (don't know why that'd be up in the top left though...)

Thanks God B-spec is there again, to win easy money in DTM champ. with the previusly winned priced car CLK :sly:

Haha I just played GT4 after months of not playing it, I did just that.👍

Looks like underneath it you may be able to select and avatar... Maybe thats a name of a team with your avatar or something along those lines?

The little icon that has a picture of High Speed Ring...Is that the Course Maker?

I reckon it's a team name and the dev's just decided to use wine companies in the pre production version for neatness. I'm guessing it will be customisable in the full game. I might go with Team Alberto myself.

I think is the best way in GT4 to get money, thanks to that i buy and modify almost every car in GT4.

Yes, on the Course Maker screen you can see the same icon on the left hand side.

Nice thanks, it´s new to me :)

Damn can´t wait till Nov 3rd! I´m so hyped again :)

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this..but since we have the track editor, I wonder if we can therefore create a straightline track (aka Drag Racing). Since we're aloud to make point to point races, all you would have to do is select a straightaway for the four aloud sections...make each one as long as you want, and boom, a drag racing track....1/4 mile or 6 miles, is created. Anyone else think it could work like that?

I was thinking about it to create a better top speed benchmark track that the test track loop but it will be limited to 10km's, which is the same length as the test track though a little better as we don't lose speed in bends.

As long as one of the 'themes' is flat enough. I suspect they all have a fair amount of elevation.

Still wouldn't be drag racing really, but it'll have to do I guess.

I guess you could get a straight race but my guess is you'd have the normal starting grid so it wouldnt be a drag race really.

One thing I want to know is:

Can we pit our B-spec team against other people's teams online? :)

As long as the B-spec mode is in-depth enough, it will be a game in it's own right. In GT4 the B-spec mode was very basic and was just a means of making cash to fund your A-spec races. The success of various Football Manager games has proved it is a concept that works as a game (As stated in the write up on the news page), but only if it's in-depth enough. By the sounds of it they've got B-spec mode up to a good standard; they described it as a "Car Racing Simulation RPG".

Depends though, if there was an option of how many people you could have on a track "online that is".. with the lobby system etc. It could be possible for just 2 people to drag race then.... especially if standing starts is an option, in theory it would work as a "make shift" drag strip/race

Thats is exactly what I thought or you can have a 9km straight line and 1 km full of bends and test your new rides with your mates.

Where is Pit-Stop.I know Full game will have pitstiop function but it would be good to see in demo

I think it's the player alias - as in, your PSN-ID.

The other screens showing "my lobby" have these grape names along with a certain K. Yamauchi...

EDIT: the pic isn't working; stupid Sony site (first pic).

Thought I'd bump the thread with a reminder to Kaz to show us some screens of Aussie cars before the game is released please? Thanks. :)

Even if it's a Monaro, you've listened to the Americans and given them screens and videos of NASCAR now it's our turn Kazzy.

This crossed my mind too, B-spec online, and I'm quite interested to know how this whole training and behaviour difference between those driver-monkeys will work or if it's much fun.
Are they pre-set or can you create them yourself ( visually and character )?
Might be me but I'm getting a strong Tamagotchi-vibe from all this.;)

That's what this image looks like, doesn't it?
