Me likey. :D

👍 nice, looks like proper tuning is included not just race mods dominating....

That looks good, hope you can replace every body panel with a carbon one like in real life.

It seems there's very little information accompanying modifications in that screen.
What does "Stage 1" chassis weight reduction do exactly, for example? (I do know, but what about other or new people?) It's not as clear as in past games.

A little remark for all of you guys: did nobody notice in the environment selection for the course maker, there is a scroll bar on the right, which implies that there are more than 4 environments 👍

oh and the visual modifications seem to be available for all the cars, according to the PS Blog:

Your personal collection will come from a couple of different areas, two of the main ones being Dealers (for new cars) or Used Car Dealers. But regardless of where you purchased, every car will be more than welcome to enter the Tuning Shop for body and suspension kits, exhaust systems and more performance parts than you can shake a stick at.

Simply having Loop or "one way" makes it very broad, then add environmental choices, then # of corners + radius + bank + custom sectors.

Now we will only how how "endless" it is when we really see the limits of the parameters and the number of different turns and terrain\surfaces (tarmac, gravel, snow, ice) available.

It's looking good. I could spend all day rallying in randomly generated PTPs.

Keep in mind if you only had 10 types of corner , 4 surfaces and 10 banking angles x 4 sectors, thats 1600 individual layouts x 2 for loop or one way = 3200 individual layouts.

I hope it's considerably more than that. I.e. in the region of 3200 thousand, at least.

Yeah, we were speculating over here :dopey:

It looks good. The only problem is, there is nothing really new here. Weight reduction was in GT1, 2, 3 and 4 (Which included a carbon fibre hood, it just didn't show it visually) and the increased rigidity upgrade was also in GT4.

The hood looks different, but we don't know if it means customisable hoods (Or rather, bonnets), or just a carbon fibre version of the stock hood/bonnet (You will see, the carbon fibre ones on the right have the same scoop as the supposedly stock one on the car body on the left). Still good none-the-less, I like the style of the new menus :)

I think it will give you more info when you click on it. He's just on the body/weight reduction menu, he hasn't selected an upgrade yet.

Hmm? Are you sure that it isn't when you go to the bottom 2 environments, the scroll bar goes down with the arrow? I think that's what it is, but that would never really need a scroll bar in the first place, so you might be right! 👍

Those are stock WRX hoods, just CF.

Think so, would be senseless for having a scroll bar for 4 items. So, as its showing the top half, it might be 8 enviroments đź’ˇ

Was just about to post that...

Anyway - also notice the schematic of the car on the left, by the tyre descriptions. Damage to suspension, engine and drivetrain - as well as brake fade and tyre degradation?

yeah i notice that too, GT5 has more than was expecting or even wanted.

The standard cars still look AMAZING! I don't use the cockpit view to race so I'm not that bothered by them not having it. :)

I am still wondering about the 19 blue (1 one red) dots on the track, but only 16 positions on this picture. We got a solution for this yet?

And it links to stuff that isn't up on the Sony page yet... :rolleyes: :p

Also it's TschĂĽss ;)

But, the body mods are interesting - almost as I expected; these are probably premium only. The standards will have the physical effects, but not the visual change, I assume / hope.

EDIT: tree'd; click mine for mega-big version :p
Also, it's a bit limited. Only the "hood" is new.

^ I think it's Suzuka?

IF anyone noticed the Weight Redux prices are more sane, this time around;

before it was
S1=1k S2=5k and S3=20k

now its
S1=500 S2=1k S3=2k.

Much more reasonable.

The standard cars look pretty good in that photo. I just really hope they update the sounds for them. When I see that Corvette, it reminds me of how unbelievably bad the C5R sounds in GT4.

Probably because race modifying is back :dopey:

Thought so. So the only thing that is new is the bare Carbon Fibre. Still good though :)

That image just doesn't look right.

Best lap of 5'19.024 at Suzuka?

He's on lap 1. Suzuka doesn't have 4 sectors. I could go on.

Anyways, it's almost exactly the same as this image:

I think they're just teaser shots. The map locations don't match up with the cars, the g-force indicator doesn't match the direction the car is going etc. it's just all wrong, both of them.

The one with the White Skyline looks like a shot taken from Prologue and edited into the image. The NSX and SuperGT Skyline look like they're taken from a GT4 replay (Although they are standard cars, it still doesn't look like GT5 in my opinion, too much background blur).

But the CF hood alone is 4000 which means its most likely not included in any of the stages or the stages themselves take off less weight than before.

Not the side mirrors:crazy:

It was already explained that the GTR Yellow Hat has yellow wheels by default. Those are not brake rotors heating.

Probably because you buy the expensive parts seperate this time. 4k for carbon hood alone, 30k for rigidity and probably more expesive options with different stages.

The base prices are probably removals like radio etc

What I think will happen here is once you move to weight reduction 2 the parts on the right will change. So you must buy the intial weight reduction just to open the optional parts to the right. Looks like you can make the trunk lid and doors carbon on either stage two or stage three.
