So do you call posting things like this as a response professional and well mannered ?

I just read a bit in the interview-thread and found something that maybe could be a bit of an explanation for the lack of news we have right now:

Me: Any near update coming to GT5 Prologue?

K.Y: we just released the Spec 3 update and about future update there is for sure.

Me: is it soon?

K.Y: "smiled" we will announce it in our website before there is any update. but we will announce the information only before an update is going to be released in a couple of days like what we did in spec 3. Even GT5 will release at the same way "laughing" we will do everything as a surprise.

I don't know how Polyphony could surprise us after E3, Gamescom and TGS but I'm sure they'll start blowing out information soon :D

I don´t want an info blowout, surprises are better :) But an new screenshot from an new car to keep us busy would not hurt that much...

I'm sorry, you're not the first person to rebel against the grammar and punctuation rules. This site is extremely successful with active advertisement sponsorship and it's been like that for years and years. The post quality of members is a very respectable flag to fly. and the flag is there because of a decent AUP. if u liek talkn liek dis den i sugest u go elsewer

Could the forum creators not put a spell check on the message toolbar if users not using proper English and making some mistakes is such a big problem ? yes text speak should be policed but at the end of the day this forum is used worldwide by people who's main language may not be English and they may have no real teaching of the language. Take the Mitsubishi Starion as an example.

I'm one of the worst spellers I know. I can look at a word and know it's spelled wrong but I do have a hard time typing the words correctly. That being said some time ago I added "Spell-Check" to my reply toolbar. The "Spell-Check" I added was ieSpell. I also keep a dictionary at my computer at all times. Here's a link on this forum about ieSpell which I think should be added to the forum when you agree to the AUP policy:

^^ On that (opelgt1969's post), you can also Google a word if you aren't sure on the spelling and don't have a spellchecker app :)

Hi all, I tried to do my best yesterday at my Mercedes dealership for the contest that's held here in Belgium ( Two laps on the NĂĽrburgring with a SLS AMG the best goes to the GT5 opening party in Mardrid,...). But I was really disappointed to see that the people before me had the ability to choose between standard and pro physics to make their time :nervous:. I must admit that I suck in standard, so I tried on Pro and made a time of 7'40s. That's alot more than the guys in front in standard physics. In addition I'm owner of a Fanatec GT3 RS wheel so the transition to a DFGT was really tough especially for the pedals. By the way, the demo is already awesome and I think the game will kill my social life for a long moment. :lol:
 
I think that we can resolve these annoyances without jumping down people's throats. Yes, it is annoying to see people ignore capitalization, however, it is equally annoying to watch as 10 people offer assistance via insult.

The AUP's language rules help keep the forum at a certain level of comprehension, which I wholly support and enjoy. That said, I do not believe it exists to enable abusive behaviour, which in fact, it also prohibits.

Yes I see his response as trolling, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_(Internet). what is the big issue with me saying "why don't the forum creators attach a spell check to the toolbar" it would without doubt be of help to people even if it only made it quicker to post due to not having to use a 3rd party checker, plus it would also stop people jumping on there high horse about grammar all the time.
 
If more people just hit the report post button like the mods say then you wouldn't create such a waste of thread space arguing over the AUP. If your not a mod then don't try to be one simple.

Tree'd on this forum refers to a drag racing term. The tree part is referring to the 'Christmas tree'.

The AUP is there for a reason and all members are required to follow it.

You will not use “textspeak” (“r”, “u”, “plz”, etc.) in your messages. Decent grammar is expected at all times, including proper usage of capital letters.

And you maybe correct but that would make it slang and it is not the proper way you spell the word.

Ontopic: Looking at past GT releases does anyone know when we found out the complete car/track list before the games launched, or was it after the launch?

There / their, "if we're really being pedantic"? He's not being pedantic, he's defending his use of decent grammar. This is getting ridiculous. I know you want this back on topic, Sphinx, but could you just re-emphasise that it is your job alone to call people on bad grammar?
 
Going back to the paint shop a couple of pages back, do you think there will be a color pallet ? or just a scroll bar of all the colors available for all the cars in the game.

I imagine there'll be both, hopefully with some "special" paint jobs as well, chrome? Matte? Would be fun.

Yeah that would be good.
My local Mercedes dealer has a matte white cls which looks amazing
the chrome Veyron also look's good.

Pretty sure they'll only let you choose official colours.
