GT5 Loading issues

Does anyone have any loading issues with GT5
It seems to take forever to get to the desktop screen where I choose to garage dealership etc ATM it's taken 15 mind and the game is still not loaded any ideas please

It's most likely your Game Data has a problem. I would reinstall it if I were you.

Step 1: Go to Game Data Utility in the XMB menu.

Step 2: Delete the Game Data, not the Save Data. If you want to be 100% safe, backup your Save Data to a USB device.
(DLC cars can be re-downloaded from the Playstation Store in View Downloads.)

Step 3: Open up GT5 and re-install all of the Game Data and re-download all of the Patches.

Step 4: Try and do what you were trying to do, and it should be back to normal.

Deleted the game data file installed all the updates again if used about 8gig still very slow nothing seems to have worked

I'm assuming you don't have the same issue with other disc-based games. But if haven't checked that- I would try and see if the same problem occurs with other games.

When you are online GT5 sometimes loads extremely slow. You will notice faster load times when offline.

It only happens when I play gt5 other games online and offline work fine gt5 loads faster when offline nut if intry to remote race or dealership or seasonal events it can takes ages
Yesterday it took 3hrs for me to be able to remote race

I cleared the cache before I did the deleting of game data file but cache is just clearing the Internet browser

It takes 1 min for me so its your game data

At the moment I'm getting 9.0 meg but like I said I have deleted the game dats file and re installed it loaded up the game bug still took a long time to load

I also get the error
Lost connection to the server (ID:1530)
I then press ok and the game eventually loads after 5/10 mins

same problem here.
i've only noticed the issue since the recent big update.

pretty much alot of the muliplayer content (seasonal, online dealers, races) all have issues at various points.
for example, the seasonal stuff will sometimes take alot longer to enter the 5 race view (ie: select event, press X, and then a delay).

if it hasn't loaded within 1-2mins, then i'll quit GT5 and reload it.

i haven't reinstalled - doesn't seem to of fixed it for OP, so i dont see much point in trying myself.

out of interest, there is an optional XMB update - what version are people on?

It is like I tested.
My main Account made loading issues and connection issues although I have "perfect" Internet.
Therfore I thought it´s the gamesave size. I created a 2nd Account just to know if it´s the size or if my PS3 is the Reason.
Created and imediatly saw that the loading time is almost gone (compared it´s so fast). I did the Nascar Seasonal Thing where you got the Jeff Suit and instantly was lvl 28.
I only use this Account for Online Racing => I keep the amount of Cars to an Mnimum

Also I delete the Museum Cards, Paints and Suits (or send the good ones to my main Account) to keep the size down.
And No issues are now occuring. (super minor issues only if I forget to clear the cache and to restart the Router).

Thereore me think you have a big Gamesave. Try my way and if you have loading issues with an "new" Game => you´ll possibly have something bigger

i'll try a new GT account - see if that fixes anything.

i;ve just tried to access the FormulaGT seasonal - after 3-4mins, it comes back saying network error.
i'm in the UK....

I think the servers are under strain as when I'm offline everything's fast, online everything's slow.
