OK, hold the **** up.
First, nothing on this list is confirmed, the colors at the top say exactly what is presented. Cars displayed in-game by Polyphony. Nowhere does it say that they are confirmed for GT5. The cars are simply ones we have seen post-GT4, and there is no proof that Polyphony will keep them in the game or cut them out for various reasons.
Second, I have included the bulk of the cars from the old "Vision Gran Turismo" (or "GTHD") videos simply because there were in fact some unique creations in those videos, such as the '05 Oreca Audi R8 and '05 Pescarolo-Judd. I'd find it hard to believe that Polyphony would go to the trouble of creating cars such as this only to throw it away because those models don't work on the PS3. Rather than picking and choosing which modified models in "Vision Gran Turismo" might make it into GT5, I figured for the sake of completeness to include all of the cars.
As to why there are no bikes on the list, this is Gran Turismo, I have seen nothing to indicate Polyphony would do anything of the sort. Hell, you might as well throw "Santa Claus" in as a possible driver outfit in the game because he was in a video, but lets use a little common sense, people. Bikes in an E3 video before there was even a concrete announcement about a game (which is now defunct) do not indicate anything.
As to the GT Academy bit, there's nothing to indicate that the GT Academy GT-Rs which will be used will be any different from the standard car, leaving the inclusion of a "GT Academy" version as a mere paintjob, and I'm not going to sit around and guess what special paint schemes might appear in the game. They might include this paint scheme in the game, but there is nothing I've seen which indicates it as being modeled. This is no different than the "Driving school" video on GT4P with the Ferraris and Porsches. PD using them for a race does not indicate they're modeling them.
As for the 350Z, all of the video and pictures on the GT Academy website are of the car, which already exists, and ran the previous Dubai 24 Hours. Again, nothing to indicate that Polyphony has in any way modeled this race car. They simply sponsor it. And "Gran Turismo" has sponsored several things in the past few years without us actually getting them in the game.
This list is not concrete fact, it is not absolute, it is my view of what can be considered highly likely or slightly likely cars that will appear in Gran Turismo 5. It is not the end all, be all list, it is simply my own creation. If you don't agree with the way I handle some things, so be it. You are more than allowed to think what you may about what you think will be included in a yet-to-be-released video game. Feel free to ignore it and come up with your own ideas, I do not have exlusivity to creating lists.
But don't come here and bitch and whine because my opinion based on what I have seen and read of a yet to be released video game is different from yours. Your opinion is no more correct than mine is as no one knows for absolute certainty what is confirmed. Nor should you assume that I am somehow ignorant of the very cars listed here.
This is my work. Take it as you wish.
