I know a car that exactly won't appear in GT5. It's Peugeot 908 LMP1 '08. Do you know why? Because it has an Xbox 360 logo on it! I guess Sony won't let Polyphony show the logo of Microsoft's brand!
But maybe this car will appear in another livery. Full black, or maybe a Gran Turismo livery!
 
Well Pescarolo will use a 908 HDI FAP this year at Le Mans and the C60s from Pescarolo were THE PlayStation LMPs. Not to mention that some cars had logos replaced in GT4 (Bentley Speed 8 had a PD logo instead of the Le Mans logo on the side for example).

Racing games change advertising logos all the time for various reasons. NASCAR games do not have beer logos on their cars.

I think it was Laguna Seca that had some advertising signs replaced with Gran Turismo logos in GT4. If it the 360 logo is an issue they can just remove/replace it.

I am also trying to recall if a GT4 track had another game-related ad that wasn't tied to Sony or GT.
 
The Xbox logo on the 908 HDi is small enough that if it was edited out, it wouldn't be that big of a difference. And as GT Ace said, PD could just use the Pescarolo 908.

I got two more pictures but they are too large to upload. One of them is the black car. The same body style they used for the first have of the year. The other is the new body style with a lower and longer nose. Smaller rear wing and shorter side pods.

From the other two pics you can really see the change. I'll e-mail them to you if you likeI don't think the 908 will be in GT5. Looks like X-box has the rights for the cars.:grumpy::ouch::banghead::mad:🤬🤬🤬👎:yuck: NOT HAPPY!!!

I'm sorry, I was thinking about the GT5 version of Fuji when I wrote that! :ouch:

I'm not sure what ads the GT4 Fuji Speedway has, and since my PS2 is broke, I can't check it. :(
 
This isn't a wish list, the only cars on the list are ones that have been confirmed.
 
He means that it's a shame that the AE86 is not a car yet confirmed to be in the game. Me on the other hand...

Nice job, completely misinterpreting what a sponsor is, my emote-abusing friend. I guess every car featuring Sony's competitors in GT4 (and Fuji International Speedway since it features a large Sega ad) did not really exist in the game. See! I too can invent "facts"!
 
Hey guys uhh.. I found this on an IGN forum.. probably not a reliable source of info but yeah seems to be a car list for GT5.. I don't believe that it's true and/or correct IMO.

I Googled Gran Turismo 5 car list and found a link to IGN witch was a forum witch had a thread, including a post with this link right here.

Your right not to believe him, I know I don't. 10000 cars made, only 340 at launch sounds rather stupid. Plus he never actually links to where he got this information, just one little sentence saying Sony released a list (which they haven't, seriously we would know) and then goes off stating every single car which would be pointless because he could just link to the list and save himself alot of effort.

this list is *NOT* the official car list for GT5. it is a list complied by gt fans to be a dream car list for the game. The list is a fake. there is no way there will ever be anywhere near 10,000 cars for this game even if they incrementally add cars packs.

It's got to be a hoax. For one (and i'm no expert) but, i doubt the game would be able to handle 10 thousand cars. 2: Why would they release the game with 340 cars (less than half of what GT4 had)? It also mentions that any car will be available for download for a small price. Get.. out of town!!
