GT4 had the Cobra under Shelby and AC, I believe the major differences between the two was the color options.

For now though it's impossible to tell which version this is, so I'm leaving it off.

AC's steering is on the right side, and Shelby's on the left :)
So I think it's Shelby.

There's no interior modeling visible, so it's impossible to tell if it's left or right hand drive.

A-ha! Not so!

The wipers are visible in one shot, and driver's side wipers almost always reach vertical to the outside of the driver. In that picture, that's the left-hand side, making it LHD :D

All Cobras, and even the Ac Ace it was based on, have their wipers configured that way, whether it's left or right hand drive. ;)

Actually, on further investigation, that's complete poppycock.

BUT.

On the images shown, the wipers are configured to swing, from the drivers point of view, anti-clockwise - which would make it RHD.


*edit* On even further investigation, i've found pictures of AC badged cars both LHD and RHD with wipers in either direction, and Shelby badged cars, all LHD, with wipers in both directions too.

As with all other configurations of this car, scoop or no scoop, wide arches, narrow arches, narrow arches with flares, wide arches with flares, side exist exhaust, rear exit exhaust etc etc, none of these features can clearly identify which model is which. Most have been race or competition cars to varying degrees at some point over the years, so have mostly all been modified to some extent by now so no one feature can be used to identify what Cobra is actually been modeled in the picture.

"Badged" being the operative word... I saw a VW Polo badged as an Audi...

I believe it's actually a legal requirement over here to have the wipers sweeping to the drivers' outside... So a RHD UK-registered car must sweep to the right and a LHD UK-registered car must sweep to the left (from the driver's PoV). Though I will check up on this. I know that even the A-reg 911 I drove - which is a car so badly converted to RHD that you're actually looking slightly left as you drive it - had wipers sweeping to the right.

I'm not sure how it applies to uniwipered cars though. Or crap like the Touran which has counter-rotating wipers (both of which are vertical at the outside, so it's irrelevant really).

If they were modelling a Cobra, yes. But they're (probably) modelling a stock example.

I do know of a Cobra expert who can somehow spot a Fake Snake from 80 paces. I shall push it in his direction.
 
Well, in previous GT, we had both the AC and the Shelby Cobras... food for thought?

Edit: Weineck Cobra 780. 12.9 litres of flyingmammalpoo.
 
Shouldn't all the cars HERE that aren´t in the GT5 list also be there? Since one can transfer cars from GTPSP to GT5 that only makes sense... or am I missing something? :scared:
 
Sorry if it was mentioned already, but... should The359 add the Lexus IS200 GT-1 Race Car '04? If memory serves, it wasn't in GT4...

Nope, having cars that are transferrable from one game to another isn't confirmation that all the cars in one game will be in the other. If any cars were in GT PSP and not GT5 then they would simply not be transferrable. It could be the case that GT5 has every car GT PSP has, but there's no confirmation of that.

It was in GT4, just not every version of it. From memory I know it was in the Korean versions of the game but definitely not in the PAL versions. It's not confirmed for GT5 though, the odds are with the GT300 car being in GT5 that there's little point in including that one.

Looks like a 250 Testarossa to me. The latch design matches IMO. It just looks weird in the right TV screen because of the angle, and the fact it looks like they haven't modeled the seats and stuff yet. The Cobra model on the desk isn't necessarily the car she is working on.

How long did it take you to sort through the list to work that out? It took me a couple of minutes just to find a VW, and even longer to get a Ferrari, and when I clicked on Ferrari in the maker list it didn't have the F1 car that we know is in it.

I am not sure the list on there is complete. Nausea inducing, yes. Complete, no.

Nevermind, I just checked the hood latches again, it IS a Cobra, of some sort. I'm puzzled why it appears to have a Testarossa's ram air scoop, though. :confused: Might be the angle.

EDIT: Nope, there's no way that right monitor is showing a Cobra. Yet the center monitor shows Cobra hood latches. My conclusion? Both cars are being shown. Why would she be working on and comparing both a Cobra and a TR? I've no idea..

EDIT 2: *Looks at car's hood shape* Hmmm, maybe....

I'll stop now. :lol: ;)
