Thanks Battman. Scuudz and I were practicing this weekend and we were running on the GT layout (no chicane). Guess I need to go practice with the chicane now, not that i was tearing up that last section to begin with... : )

The race usually starts at 7:30 or so (Practice till 7:15, Qualifying till 7:30). If you send me a message that you will definitely be there on Thursday I will wait for you to start the race. I have been doing that for xisco44 the last 2 weeks. Also, yes, we have changed to soft tires. For the best practice you should go to your online lobby so that it factors in accurate tire wear.

URGENT!!!

Anyone else getting a Playstation Network Error?

I am unable to login to the Playstation Network. If I cannot get on before 7:00PM I will have to postpone the race until next week.
 
I'm online, waiting for people to show up. Zero friends are appearing online...
 
i had to install an update during my last race...happend at 5 est ver 3.56 i think it was

OK, All seems good now. Logged on to PSN. Had to do a hard reboot (switch off at back).
 
Room is open for practice. As usual go to my lounge (coffee cup) under GT Life community.
 
I wont be able to make it. Im still out of town on business.
 
Hi all!

So we started qualifying with 4 of us and rynedee had to bail so I postponed the race to next. Hopefully we don't have connection issues and we have more people next week.

Season 2 Announcement
Season 2 is going to be a SuperGT (500hp class) at various real world tracks. I am going to reset signups, so you must either private message me or respond in this thread with your car selection and I will add you to the driver list. Car list as follows:

I am not positive but I think mine is at 511 horsepower right now bone stock. Damn oil change! If that is to much hp I also have the xanvi z car.

Hey don't worry there most cars go over 500 after oil change.

qualifying starts in 35-40 min...race at 7:30 est
 
Great race everybody. I have updated the standings and race recaps on the league site in my signature.

NOTE: We will not hold the race next Thursday because it is my wedding anniversary! :crazy: Please let me know if you would want to run on Tuesday or Wednesday or postpone it until the next week. Thanks!
 
Hey guys the last race is coming up and I am trying to think of ideas for the next series. I would like to do shorter races, but do 2 or even 3 five lap races per race day. The races would be on the shorter tracks and use lower powered cars (~250hp with ~800kg min weight limit?). Or we could use the PP system depending on how that works out.

It would make for a nice little sprint series. Let me know what you guys think.

I'm up for any car type that gets me out of my Woodone Advan, my least fave in GT5 so far.

How 'bout a classic car series? or a series with hatchbacks from 1980 to 1987? or a series of German touring cars?

If we do 3 five-lap races with different classes but run on the same track. The 1st race could be pre-1980's with a PP limit, second race would be roadsters with a PP limit, 3rd race is unrestricted with PP limit.

I think a higher PP limit for the pre-1980's race and a lower one for the other 2 so that we can run cars that you normally don't see online. xisco mentioned his AE86 (I just got an AE86 Shigeno the other day) and that is exactly what class I am thinking of.

For example, I would love to race a '69 Camaro SS the 1st race, a 200hp miata the 2nd race, and an Elise in the third race.

PP is Performance Points. It just got introduced in the 1.06 update that is coming out today. I have not looked at it but it takes into account HP, weight, tires, aerodynamics, and other factors and spits out a single number rating for your car (similiar to Forza for XBOX). From what I have read in the forums here it does a good job of evenly matching cars. We will take a look at it.

If anyone is up for it I am going to try to get on tonight to check it out. I will PSN message anyone that I see online to join me to check stuff out.
 
I could get into a three-car series, that could be a lot of fun...

The Performance Points are what GT5:Prologue used in place of tuning parts. The system worked well i thought.
