I was thinking that GT5 doesn't really have that many official racing series and it would be good if they added the GT1 championship or something like that to the game.

We all want that but its not as easy as you think. But i do agree i really want Grand-Am cars!
I suppose its all down to licenses and all that stuff. Grand-Am would be good as it is getting bigger and bigger. You watching Daytona?

I personally would prefer it if Polyphony Digital focused on improving the existing series' (WRC, NASCAR, Super GT) and fleshed them out better before adding more series'. Quality should always take priority over quantity, in my opinion.

I would like to see offline D1GP events, seeming as we have the blitz Nissan.it's definitely something PD should look into.

I think if PD would just use the sesonal events as a base for some online premade lobbies that could be some sort of organised races. Right know online is just a pointless ride in circles. I know theres leagues to join Im just talking casual organised races. Maybe some higher payouts (then current online) but with all the same restrictions. Use sesonal events as practice and setup, then head online. What do you think?

This is a great idea! I would like to get rewarded for beating real people - not just start in 12 and attempt to finish 1st by passing dumb AI drivers. This is supposed to be the "real driving simulator".

Grid positions can be determined by the times set in A-spec seasonals.

Sure, but if they do as crappy a job implementing them as they did with NASCAR/WRC/Top Gear (not really a race series I know), they shouldnt' bother... I think

If they are going to hype up whatever new licences they get and then not actually do anything with them, I don't see why they should bother.

Yea, they should have more British tracks like Silverstone or Brands Hatch or something.

Agreed. Silverstone is a given, Brands and Thruxton would be fun too. For other tracks I'd suggest the old San Marino GP track, (Anyone remember that?) Hockenheim and Zandvoort. Really all of the current and recent Grand Prix tracks should be do-able and a they could be incorporated into a GP support race series.

.

Look at NASCAR's current implementation: No cautions, no flags, two tracks (not that it's fair to expect every track of course, but still)...

And that's even before we get to WRC...

Thats a really good idea also Caterhams would be fun to play.

Yeah let's hope there faster. My caterham fully tuned goes 0-60 in 6 seconds! For a light car that's diabolical

I'd love to see a real WRC Championship in GT5, they have the tools to do it!!! :dunce:

Also, they could expand the existing events in A-Spec mode... I mean... nearly none of the reverse tracks gets a good use...

...

But again... I wouldn't ask that much from them... :nervous:

Definitely need a D1GP

Also finding myself wanting some 1 make races like the Silvia sisters or an all AE86 N1 style race

Well, we were waiting for it and supposeddly PD did it. Oficially licensed in GT5 are NASCAR, WRC, and SuperGT. Trouble is that their implementation and effect ond the game is worthless.

They could've set a SuperGT championship for each class GT500 and GT300 categories, make it a true tour around all the games asian tracks "a la" GT4 (SuperGT championship there was around Seoul, Hong Kong, Tokyo R246, Suzuka, Fuji, and Twin Ring motegi) and throw in some official logos, branding, and cutscenes introducing real drivers, grid girls, real teams and stuff for good measure. But no, they made a championship called SuperGT but with no font or logo resemblance to the one of the real championship, they made them go around cape ring and...that's it. Surely GT500 cars are the main component of a SuperGT500 championship, but making a dish out of only the main ingredient makes it feel a bit dry, a bit dull. Licenses are there so you can give your game some spice.

Same story with NASCAR. Same story with WRC. PD really wasted their licenses there 👎. The community has had great ideas bout how using those licenses, and some of them here in GTP are quite reasonable so why not listening to the community in this respect if you don't know how to do it properly?
