Hi guys,
I just thought I'd share my recent experience with you, and try and find out if any of you have had the same...
Like many of you, I pre-ordered Gran Turismo 5 a while back, expecting a November release and, in my excitement, I opted for the Signature Edition to commemorate the day!!
Having pre-ordered my copy from Game.co.uk, I had to wait until 2 a.m on Thursday morning to arrive home and open mine, to have a long-awaited go!
To cut a long story short, despite pre-ordering and having the game delivered on time, I've not had the chance to even play it yet, due to the Signature Edition tin being rather badly damaged when I unboxed it.
Maybe it's just me, but I wasn't willing to pay £130 for a game that was any less than perfect. So, in order to preserve my right to exchange it for an undamaged one, I was unable to open the sealed game case or play on the game.
After having spoken to Game's customer services, after initially asking me to return it to them before having a replacement sent, I was very grateful for a helpful and understanding member of their staff to agree to send my replacement before having received mine back (after me scanning and emailing them proof of recorded postage).
So I have to wait a couple more days to play the game? Maybe not a big deal to some...
But the interesting issue was that I had to mark the return for the attention of one of Game's managers because, according to Game, there seem to have bin some issues with Signature Editions being delivered damaged.
So there we go, I was just interested to get some feedback on whether any of you have experienced this (and possibly some sympathy.. haha).
Thanks for reading!
