GT5 Slow?

Is it just me or has it been really slow?

When i am not logged on psn its fine, as soon as i login, it get considerable slower. all the menus and what not lag so much

It can happen and there are many threads that I've come across.

It is daunting I agree.
Clearing your GT5 cache may help speed things up. in Settings

I find that, even for "simple" searches, the advanced search ("Advanced Options") is far superior to the one at the top of the page, because you can have it give results in a sensible format.

What ISP are you with? I had exactly the same issue with Virgin Media (UK) when i upgraded my connection to 30mb with their VM superhub.

I messed around with the settings but it was still taking 2 mins between loading screens. I have now hooked my ps3 up using an Ethernet lead and its working perfect again. There is something definitely wrong with their wireless!!!

Hook up your ps3 using a wire just to test and see how you get on!

mines terrible at the moment, it didnt used to be, any one elses bad at the moment, hopeing the maintenance is going to solve it

yes!!!

since the maintenance it has been incredibly slow, its annoying.

I don't know why, but GT5 has just been a nightmare after the latest patch.

-lobby's are now all 0-3 bars (mostly 0 bars though), VERY few 4-5 bars
-menus are far slower, especially online (just tried heading over to settings for my Clio, took ages to load)

That's all I can remember, but I hope PD sorts this stuff out.
