Authentic race liveries or based one's are fine, - I'd drive a BMW Z4m road car if it had a Red Bull livery like the race version available.
I just object to Fast and Furious wacko vinyls.
Lets have proper/actual race colours for each car, gulf colours, red bull etc.
stupid fast and furious ones for the drifters, but when you enter a normal race (not drift) the stickers fall off. naked ladies for the people that still buy the sun for page 3.
Authentic, proper, realistic, whatever, who are you to decide what's proper to use, do you suggest a fashion police function too?
Why limit it to replicating existing designs? That's something I rather leave for PD to do.
I also don't like Fast and Ferocious paintjobs, yet I don't object to people creating them.
Those 'authentic' Gulf, RedBull, etc. liveries on existing racecars were also once
created (not replicated) by graphic designers.
Oh yeah, GT has to be realistic so you have to limit those things which are also done in real life...
What also suprises me (actually it doesn't) is the lack of a sense of humour when discussing a livery editor.
Usually there's a lot of immaturity on this forum but when it involves debating the pros and cons of a livery editor a lot suddenly turn into the saviours of morality.
If it's included (which I think it isn't) I'll mostly
try to create beautiful things but there's a part of me that also wants to create something goofy or, heaven forbid, funny.
Maybe it's just me but the prospect of witnessing drawn genitalia or any other form of immaturity (which to me isn't the same as being funny btw) isn't that much different than seeing an opponent driving a matte pink car with gold chrome wheels, I'll cringe either way.
