I hate the fact that they wait until the last second to tell us anything. At least hint at it lol

Yeah they can push GT5 sales if they announce the content of Spec 2. And FM4 is coming out in less than 2 weeks so they MUST do something.

The biggest question I have and which is not being discussed at all it seems is whether the DLC that'll follow the week after will be free or charged for.
Before anyone says, ofcourse you'll have to pay for it because that makes the most sense businesswise, it could make more sense businesswise to offer it for free to create 'goodwill' and to distinguish themselves from other companies who do charge, especially since Prologue already covered GT5's development costs apparantly and GT5 itself sold a few million times.
It also perhaps depends on their long term strategy, if GT6 becomes a launch title for the PS4 and therefor there won't be a GT6 Prologue creating revenue, this might be an opportunity to cash in.
GT5 Prologue Spec 2.0 came with 34 or so new cars but no promise of DLC afterwards so I wonder how they'll do it this time.
Obviously I hope it'll be free (as someone pointed out in the news thread, they could offer DLC separate for technical reasons if the amount of data is too big to be downloadable in one time by everyone, or takes too much time, etc.) but I doubt it will be unfortunately.
This is something I would like to know right now (if you're listening Kaz or PD employee, tweet away), I can easily wait for what content it'll reveal.

As unlikely as this is, I think PD could get GT6 out next year, during the fall. It would be two years since GT5. Although Kaz has hinted pretty strongly at wanting to hold off until the PS4.

Could, but even GT5 is pushing the PS3 to it's limits, so it would be best for PS4.

Nice! :D

Too bad Battlefield 3 will be hitting the shelves about a week later and AC Revelations about 2 weeks after that, so I will be a little busy.. But then I got something fun to come back to. :)

This is gonna be an awesome fall!

You know Kaz said 3rd week of October but he didn't say what year. I just hope its not delayed.

I got a feeling it will get delayed :(
but he rarely give specific dates like he did with this ... well as specific lol.

Nah its been discussed somewhere in this wishlist thread lol

A specific date will come about a week and half from launch.

I think if it was going to be free DLC it would be included in the 2.0 Spec patch. Why separate it.
I kind of assume the 2.0 will be kind of like the LittleBigPlanet approach where you get all the DLC content in the patch right before the DLC is released and then what you buy in the PlayStation Store is a unlock key.
That way you are able to see the DLC cars others are driving.
It would be amazing if it also took the LBP approach of being able to use DLC levels (Tracks) if the host has it.

Your joke is about 38 pages treed. Besides, it's so moldy, no one even noticed. :sly:

Anyway, I wouldn't be shocked if the DLC was free. Between Prologue and GT5, they sold well over 11 million copies to date, maybe 12 mill by now. Of course, it depends on what it is. Updates to the Standard cars so they look better, have some sort of interiors if even a black silhouette for cockpit drivers, and can swap wheels, that should be free, and is likely in the Spec II update anyway. A mega track pack with the tracks from the previous Gran Turismos not in GT5, that could be free. Premium cars and tracks... hard to say. These are the guys who take man-months and years to produce, and they might have made all of three tracks by now.

As for news on content, I still don't get the hypertension. The thing is just four weeks off, and that's really not long. Plus, we're likely going to get some word on what is included, on the DLC also, within a week or two. I'm excited about it too, but surely most of us have something besides GT5 to entertain and thrill us. Even then, just tooting around in Arcade Mode today for a few hours was cool as heck. Maybe I'm the oddball around here, but I still can't get enough of this game.

Oh your not the only one. 👍 I really see GT5 getting better and better in the future.

and

should be in the 2.0 update because
(1) Maserati needs some more cars
(2)there's only one bentley in gt5 and that's a race car.

and i would be a very happy driver if bugatti became a premium car dealer and

this would be there too.

This.

Some people always set themselves up for disappointment. ;) Fortunately, though vocal, they're the minority. Just forget about them, they'll be here being vocally disappointed no matter what. Let's have our fun!

True that brother.

The thing that astounds me about the pro enduro save people is why do you want to enter an endurance race in the first place......if the one thing you dont want to do is race for more than a couple of hours at a time why dont you simply enter a race that only lasts a couple of hours???
Leave the achievment of finishing the longer races to people who actually want to race for longer.

What "I" want or do not want has got **** all to do with "YOU".
