I reckon the major fixes will be aimed toward the general public and not the hardcore fans that are amongst this site.

I think the general public have move on to other games by now

That's what I think too, GT-games generally have a long lifespan for those who are seriously into driving games and who much more quickly reach the limits of its content, something I doubt most casual gamers already did (although they might in general be more, or only, interested in a specific type of car and not make use of the whole variety).
Not to mention it's perhaps just another game for them, the next big thing is the next big thing for many.

With all this wishing going on, maybe I should create a thread for realistic wishes.

Pretty much. There are a lot of people here who are setting themselves up for disappointment.

Realistic wishes would be hoping for some standard cars, upgraded to premiums, and some old GT3/4 tracks ported over into sloppy, outdated looking HD versions. I would just be happy with more GT3/4 tracks, especially Seattle and the rally courses.

Everyone's game gets reset to day 1. ALL progress reset, your garage is emptied...in short, we all start from scratch!

Seriously, maybe an extra track or 2 and a few cars, probably some enhancements, not holding my breath till it gets released...

But what i would really like is A and B spec reintegrated into a single game (that way ingame race saves wont be necessary. it also gets rid of the illusion that we are getting more game than we actually did when it was released....i do not like being ripped off!) just as it was in 4. more content...LOTS more content. Horrible XP system GONE GONE GONE! More Jags, more Triumphs, more Bentlys and Astons. grid starts would be appreciated, i'm sick to the back teeth of rolling starts!

Don't care for online (except seasonals) and couldn't give a fleas backside for drifting or TT!

As for the DLC, i don't like having to pay for content which should been in 5 on it's release...that's if we are charged for it, which in all probability that's what will happen.

I would have much preferred we waited the 2 years Kaz wanted and we got the game we should have got in the first place....

One can only hope Kaz and PD have learned from all this.

How do you know that? For serious, why the **** should they do that? People worked their ass of for the X2010 Challenge.

I'd be satisfied with more A-spec events, and only A-spec, also being able to save during endurance races. Everything else will be a surprise to me, just like on christmas.

I really do wonder what PD has been up to.

What a grouch :grumpy:

The fact that you don't care for online racing, TT or drifting suggests to me that you really don't care for the game at all.

Online racing is incredible when you find a good room / host.

Learning to drift teaches you how to control a car and helps enormously when driving without aids. I take great pleasure trying to be the best out of the people in my friends list.

And the TT is the closest we have to a leaderboard right now. Why not try to set a time?

GT5 really isn't as bad as you make out. Yes it could have been better but, not by much.

You obviously didn't read the next line which started with the word "seriously"....

I see you are from Holland so English is obviously not your first language, i was being sarcastic, an attempt at some rather poor humour, nothing more.

I think you need to head to your local coffee shop and have a special cigarette to help you relax

I do care for the game (in fact, it's the only game i play when there's a new seasonal. i mainly play 4 for the content), but i was EXTREMELY disappointed with 5 for many obvious and well discussed reasons.

As for the online racing, out of MANY attempts to join and start my own races, i found only one guy who gave me a straight race without going the wrong way on the track, cutting corners or trying to bump me off the road.
I also have no wish to join any groups because i don't want 1 million and 1 friends. i also don't have the time to set aside for meets.

Besides, i bought the game for content, many people did...imagine our shock and disgust at the lack thereof.

Just one more filter for setting up rooms: "custom liveries allowed" and that's it. Everybody happy. I would really appreciate that feature as it will bring a lot of extra fun to photomode.

Not bothered about cars, there are loads of almost every kind already.

I'm hoping for a few physics and online improvements, and a handful of tracks to play on, some graphics optimisations and weather and time of day across all the tracks, but the latter seems highly unlikely now.

If it isn't free it will have to be seriously overpriced to stop me buying track dlc, but cars aren't worth a penny to me.

Not when you almost exclusively use the Premium selection (cockpit view) like I do, I really would like some more variety.
Even just Premium versions of Standard cars which would essentially be new additions for me.
Although Kaz stated a while back they were considering that but wouldn't add new cars to GT5, but then he also said there wouldn't be DLC.
So fingers crossed for some nice surprises (including tracks).

What "I" want or do not want has got **** all to do with "YOU".

It does when you want the developer to change the game "I" am playing because "YOU" want to take part in races that are longer than the races you want to take part in.

Last night I was dreaming I was on Gran Turismo's website and there was lot of information about Spec 2.0 and they even have teaser trailer and there was a Saab 9000 in there :dunce: , but the weird thing was the graphic was like GT3 or GT4 graphic. :scared:

Maybe I saw in to the future :dopey:

I wouldn't mind paying couple bucks for bigger range of premium cars. Actually, I'd be buying the Eyetoy right away if they upgraded all those everyday sedans to premium models :)

I'm not the only one who wants saves in enduros and I do want to take part in enduros, but doing a full on 24 hours in real time is so ****ing retarded for people who have lives outside of gaming. There is NO way I can find more than an hour or so for gaming a day and that's stretching it a LOT. And there is no way in HELL I'm going to waste energy and risk my PS3s life span by leaving it on for 24+ ****ING days for one ****ING race. I am TRULY and UTTERLY SICK of people like you.

Why don't you go the whole hog and sit in a proper race suit with a full race helmet and a heater to heat everything up to 35-40 degrees...oh and in the event of a crash someone to smash your head in with a sledgehammer.....don't blither on about "realism" regarding the 24 hour time frame when it's a BLOODY GAME, that has only the flimsiest connection to the reality of racing.

sorry for the language but I HATE with a passion Enduro geek/snobs/retards.

Very, very, VERY well said, and I agree with every word x1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.

I agree with what you're trying to say and people who say in-race saves are "unrealistic" get under my skin too but LMAO. Chill out...

No one said you had to use the damned thing. Far out people, grow a 🤬 brain. Just because the ingame content is there, doesnt mean you have to use it!

Sorry Famine, I will be abit more weary of that next time, Thank you.

Exactly 👍

I still have not touched the endurances and have not more than 1hr a day to play... Why the hell should I let my PS3 on for hundreds of hours?

I'm happy to debate you but can you tone down the language. It's making you sound like a drooling mad man instead of the sort of rational human being that I would spend my time debating.

There is no reason to debate something that half world already know what's correct. The other dude is correct. I'm correct too.

How is it correct to say that you want to enter a 24 hour race but you only want to race for 1 hour?

If you only want to race for 1 hour why not enter a 1 hour race?......that makes no sense to me

Instead you want to destroy the achievment of running a 24 hour race for the people that do want to do that so you who obviously doesn't want to do it can do it????? it's just silly.

So obviously, the real racers are silly for entering a 24 hour race when they only race for 6-8 hours then?

Yea they must be bonkers! I mean that totally ruins their achievement of not running the full 24 hours.
