Uhhh... "Penis" substitute?

I have a bigger car/house/wallet than you = penis substitute.

I have done the 24 hour race, you havn't = penis substitute.

actively not wanting something that would open up and improve the game for millions JUST because of not wanting aforementioned penis substitute devalued = selfish b'stard

Adding enduro saves will have no impact on those who want to do it real time but don't care about bragging about it or it being "exclusive". Because those who really want to do it real time can just NOT save. End of Story.

Oh and imagine if 6 million PS3s were left on for months on end (for many hours not actually "doing" anything), how much leccie would that take.....in this environmental situation the planet is in that wouldn't be good. We all need to find ways of REDUCING power drain not increase it FFS!

Regarding endurance saves.

There is no argument. In race saves are needed end of.

If you're so sad you want to sit there for 24 hrs straight doing it then fair enough each to his own. Just because the option to save is there you dont have to ****ing well use it do you. You can still go 24 hrs straight without saving.

Umm.. at least someone sees the connection- good catch

Im sorry but didnt PD announce the date of their dlc/update before forza announced its release date. Anyway, even if not I highly doubt PD/ Sony are afraid of Forza purely in terms of sales. What else would be the point of releasing close to the competitors release date...to impact their sales. looking at the two franchises its simply ludicrous to say PD are afraid of losing their fan base. Alos please remeber there could also be delays.

No.

Forza 4's release date was announced at E3 in June. We just found out about the Spec II update on September 28th.

Plus, with all the negative publicity regarding Gran Turismo 5, I wouldn't be surprised if Forza 4 sees a boost in sales compared to previous titles. So logically, it is in Sony's best interest to release a major update at the same time of Forza's release. For two reasons; to keep current players from switching, as they are still future customers, and to entice new customers.

PD isn't in the best runs right now..

I don't think they care about the competition side as much as the money grabbing guys at T10.. They said that they will continue to work on Premium cars.. One thing we can expect is the FT-86 II which is in the game, but not able to purchase. I'm sure this will be a brilliant update, but PD has habits of not living up to our expectations, and delaying

I dont think that an update can keep the people from switching to FM4. I mean what big can we expect? Forza 4 is a new game, the update may contain some cars and tracks but it makes no full game...

And even though they fix some problems, it´s still GT5 with full of missing features and stuff... They never can fix the AI so that we get some challenging races... They must build it from scratch.

I don´t think that the Spec II update has anything to do with FM4 because PD is blind in such things like marketing...

Something just crossed my mind..

Perhaps this was planned from the beginning, the release a secondary part of the game a while after the original release. It's clear they have acknowledged the issues surrounding GT5 and perhaps want to sort out all the major flaws in what is nothing else than 'GT5 Version 2'. They did say how rushed they were into getting the game out there and there are suspicions on unreleased cars and tracks from previous games.

It wasn't planned IMO. If it were up to Kaz, GT5 wouldn't be released yet, he would've liked a year or two to complete it. So since he had to release it prematurely most probably due to pressure by SONY, he's getting around to finish it as time passes.

I'm glad we got to play it a couple of years early. :p

Has the GT5 Platinum version been released yet? If not maybe that day the game been releases the Spec 2.0 comes on the same day.

the hype surrounding this update is just like the month before GT5's release... oh my, everyone starts to feel like a little kid right before christmas again... LOVE IT :D

HYPE HYPE HYPE HYPE were ??

Fans boys aside lots found GT5 lacking in the same weak points that have been there since the start.

PD have had there work cut out solving all the issue with online & ingame bugs.

At least we are getting somthing I am sure some will not be happy though.

I'm just thinking of the update as 'PD are going to update and add content of sorts to GT5' so i'm looking forward to what they do give us rather than raising expectations and feeling disappointed after spec II and DLC because it didn't contain what I wanted. ;)

tribolik
Spec II will have more a-spec events and maybe just maybe one more track... DLC will be new car/cars.

It would be amazing if they added the Ferrari super Gt version

They can fix the AI through a patch, have you played GT5P? The S Series had some seriously difficult races and the arcade mode had adjustable difficulty instead of just A,B, and C or whatever GT5 arcade is. Patch that in but keep some of the randomness of the GT5 AI and you will have a very good game.

I was wondering if they would ever add that

If 2.0 brings 900 degree steering animation, I will probably not buy F4 and get fanatec club sport wheel instead of CSR. Comments by people who played F4 demo indicate that GT5 has still some(some not) things in physics made better. Also it seems F4 seems not to have 900 steering animation so GT5 2.0 patch could trump them on that :) We know that PD has the skills but can they tune their development to match fast phased output of t10. Community involvement in DLC packs should be at least put to a higher gear(now it is in neutral, engine is turned off and someone has lost the key perhaps :) ).

We don't know that for sure considering Spec II for GT5P came with 37 new cars or somthing like that. We just have to do what we do best, and that's wait and see. And I don't see why they would only add 1 track in the Spec II update if they were not going to add anymore tracks as DLC...

I don't get the emphasis on the steering animation, but maybe I'm not meant to. Anyway, the 900 degree animation was in GT4, and I think early versions of GT5 had it too. So it's really not a case of whether they can do it; clearly it was removed / not implemented for some reason. Like so many other things in the game...
