I have to get up at 6, depends if I wake up earlier i'll watch :)

Same, I have to wake up at 6 for my paper round and the conference starts at 5 so I will just check when I get up, lets all hope for good news.

-> When is PD's segment of the conference? Or is it all "bundled" into one routine?

Hmph, I hope PD won't do those pointless private conferences like what they did in E3 and Gamescon. As if they're very afraid to the "Almighty Greenwalt". :indiff:

I don't know; I don't think we're supposed to know. It'll probably be nestled in there somewhere, possibly towards the end? I imagine that Move might get "some" attention, among other things, so GT5 will probably not be covered in too much detail. Then, all the juicy stuff will possibly be withheld until the public opening of TGS, on Saturday. Just like at GamesCom.

At least, it's a possibility...

I think I'm gonna get up at 6AM (GMT+2), I only have to leave for work at eight, so I'd get the chance to watch it all :)
After the presentation I will go on a media blackout... if I'm strong enough :P

I leave for work at 9:30am and the conferance is at around 5:00am GMT.

I think like many others on here, I'll set the alarm early. :)

Guys, on a italian site, the journalists sent to Tokyo have said that tomorrow will be an event dedicated to press for GT5 with an embargo for a few hours.

Awesome. Any more details? Embargo is usaully so they can release the news on the GT website.

Post the link please...

I live in Chicago, so for me it starts at 11:00pm which isn't too bad, but it really depends on when they show GT5. then again I do have to wake up at around 5:45am. So I might just wait until the morning to read about the game in the news section.

Same here. I'll be up at 11 still but might just wait for the morning to read the 40 new pages that will form tonight.

You say it man, can´t understand this... Do the GT fans buy this game or the journalists? What´s the problem to show us the same...

Seriously there must be a blow out on the TGS, the most infos and videos we get all the time were from gtp members, filming demos or finding tiny articles... 1 1/2 months to release and still this top secret handling...

The embargo is jsut a few hours... the previous one was longer, wasn't it?

Still, it's too bad. Would have been cool to wake up to some news.

Is that tomorrow Tokyo time, tomorrow Italy time, or tomorow somewhere else time? Can you just provide a date and time and list where that date and time is based off of? Thank you!

The conference will begin in 5 hours and 43 minutes. The embargo for GT5 will be lifted a few hours later. When exactly? We don't know.

We don't know if they are talking about the same session, remember the event starts in 5 hours 40mins, and is live streamed.

Then according to that one source there is a GT5 event with an embargo for a few hours.

I was hoping to wake up at like 9am UK Time and have a whole page of news to read on gtplanet.

=(

However for them to have an embargo, there must be some significant-ish news...

Is the site on the main page wrong? People here saying it starts like 10 or 11 chicago time? It says current time is 7:30am Tokyo time, only 2.5 hours left, should put it at 8pm Chicago time.

Edit: reading fail/doors open at 10/conference at 1. Maybe we can get some updates early if new build is on show floor?

In this case, it works out nicely to live in the western USA. I can watch the live stream at 9pm my time tonight, and by the time I wake up tomorrow, there will likely be plenty of new news to read.

Read the first post! ;) The Sony conference starts at 1pm in Tokyo.

It's in 5 and a half hours time.

I know this is a stupid question but what do you guys mean by embargo? I know what embargo means but I don't understand in this context.

People aren't allowed to talk about what they saw, heard, until Sony/PD say so.

By which time I suspect the info will be published on their website.

I know this is a stupid question but what do you guys mean by embargo? I know what embargo means but I don't understand in this context.

It means that the press are asked by Sony or PD not to reveal any of the information they have been given or release any media until a pre-determined time and date. If somebody breaks the embargo, they can be certain that they won't be invited to anything like this again and they won't be privy to this type of information again.

It means that they can't run off and publish any info immediately after the event. It's basically like a non-disclosure agreement, except only for a few hours instead of days or weeks.

Edit: Tree'd, twice even.
