Which cars are you missing? Lancer Evolution IV Rally Car '97 was the only one I didn't find from UCD, I tracked down UCD every five races until my game day ~ 1700.
Below are the last ten cars I bought:
(last one bought = 1. and so on)
1-/snip/-10
The cars (from the original list released/leaked from PD)
that I haven't seen in the UCD yet are:
Acura HSC Concept (standard)
Buick Special '62 (standard)
HPA Motorsports Stage II R32 (standard)
Jaguar XFR (standard)
Mitsubishi Evo IV Rally Car (SP)
Opera Performance S2000 (standard)
Can you confirm that you bought all of these cars from the UCD? I know four of them are prizes cars.
......All I am saying that we might not see the list(s) cycle any time soon and documenting it all will be a major pain in the ***. If I continue a-spec auto grind to level 40, I will have around 4500 game days. There isn't many races left after that to do, I will probably never exceed 6000 game day, even if I were to do much online racing.
If I were a programmer and wanted to make it hard to reach the end of the list, I would make the list so long that it is practically impossible to reach the end, maybe at least 50000 days long.
I highly doubt that many people will ever exceed even 20000 game days, for example it will take 111 days of 24h a-spec auto grind to reach 20000 game days. And that is just 111 days to reach 20000 days, just to verify once and while for possible matches would require more time.
To document every bit of 20000 days would be just plain nuts, when I was documenting my section, it took around 15 minutes to cycle 5 days and document it, so 3 minutes / day. 20000 * 3 = 60000 minutes = 1000 hours ~ 40 days working 24h/day, let's say one was able to do that for 8 hours per day ~ 120 days.
Only way that I ever see the whole UCD documented is working parallel, one user takes care of days 0-100, second days 100-199 and so on. There are not so many people contributing, total of 19 different people have contributed, of those only 9 have documented over 100 days, with top three guys have done 420-480 each. Personally my motivation to document anything dropped to near zero once I found all the cars I was looking for, I suspect that to be the case for most people.
I believe you have already stated your opinion on this however, I am choosing, rightly or wrongly, to continue. You don't seem to grasp the reasoning behind it or the precedents and logic that would suggest the contrary to your thoughts.
I have collected over 1600 days personally, some way over what you just posted; considering you quoted my post from yesterday declaring this I wonder what your point is. I don't even need the amount of time you state to record the info. Please can you clarify if you know something that I don't in regard to the game, such as if you are an insider from PD?
I imagine I will be playing this game for some years to come, I've played the series for the last 14 or so years and don't think I'll stop any time soon. With every game I have been keen to know where, when and if I can get any particular car and found the UCD info from GT4 incredibly useful despite only finding it about two years ago.
Thinking about it, I must have completed (100%) GT4 on at least five occasions, the last time with the UCD data which really helped me motor through the game (pardon the pun). I, however, am in no rush to complete this game and I'll continue to plod along with it at my own pace and in a fashion that suits me.
Now with this GT5 data I might restart my game and be able to plot my car purchasing path. By sharing it I hope it can be of some use to others as well. If I have to wait 20,000 days to find a Jaguar XFR then so be it, and I'll record it on that day so I know in the future that if I want to buy another one I won't have to look any time soon into a new game.
