My second console starts 400 days before my first. Uninstalling the game data and reinstalling it at the start of January had no effect on the start point.

If you get a chance check your current game day (check it in the save file in the XMB). Because everyone is starting around (+ or - a few hundred days) the beginning of the lists it might give us a clue if you are just way outside the region that we have recorded.

Your other option would be to start a new game on a different profile and check your day 1 cars. That has worked for everyone else.

Thats interesting, did you install onto both consoles at the same time ?
 
Originally? Yes. They started 400 days apart (though I didn't know the size of the gap back then).

However I wanted to remove the v1.05 update from one and the only way was to uninstall the whole game, which I did (along with gamesaves). Reboot, fresh install, no update and the day 1 UCD was the same as it was previously.

I've searched GTPlanet and scrolled through the Compiled List.

is there a Compiled List w a pull down search like Tornadoalley's 853 day list?

Without knowing at least three cars in a row that are in your lot right now I'm not going to get you perfect but I'm pretty sure I found were you are in the list. All days given here refer to the compiled list sheet 2

Your Toyota 7 and Eunos roadster VR-limited are on days 729 and 728 respectively.

The Lotus Elise 111S and Toyota MR2 G-Limited are on days 734 and 735 respectively.

The reason things look jumbled is because your hextets are offset from Fastas. This results in things looking pretty random but once you figure out where you are in the list you can know within a couple of days when a car is going to show up. You should have seen the formula gran turismo show up right around the same time that the Elise and MR2 purchase was made.

I could still be way off as I don't have enough points to say for certain that is where you are.

early indication is you're right...couple races later and i have a 205 turbo 16 evo, a cuda 440, and a honda jazz...that's around day 741 there...i'll keep an eye on it, but thanks, this is cool!

I have the zonda LM in 4 different UCD's @ day 10 and 11 (in all 4 separate accounts) I think the vette is also in there. not sure.

You need to establish your day 1 starting point in order to find your place in either of the two compilations....

Your best option is to start a new game on a different account on your PS3. Then look at the cars that appear in that first day. From there you can find where you match one of the two lists.

If you want a pull down filter like my other list you will need to download the compiled sheet as an excel file and then add the autofilter to the sheets. Then you can search for whatever you want. Google Spreadsheet doesn't currently support that feature.

Just create a dummy account on your PS3 (you don't have to create a PSN for it). Start a GT5 game on that account and you can get the day 1 list from there. The list will be the same as your main account.

Ok, I understand that, but how will finding my day 1 list help me in my main game thats on day 17xx? Not trying to be a smart ass just dont understand lol


Edit: Ok, I've gone to one of my dummy accounts, made sure it said day 1 in the save file, went to the UCD and wrote the entire thing down. What do I do with this?

A couple of options. If you post the top six cars or so that show up in day 1 here I can help find it pretty easily. If you post them as they appear with the two columns that is even better.

To answer your first question finding your day 1 first tells you which of the two lists you are following and while there are not many entries that far out there are a few (not to mention anytime you wanted to add to the compiled list we would know where to put your entries).

Hey, everyone,

I'm new to the forum and just wanted to say thanks for all the hard work on the used car list. The spreadsheet turned out awesome!

I was able to find myself on Fastas' list on day 340 or so. I think my days are split but otherwise it's right on. The one strange thing I did notice though was the the XJR-9 never showed. It seems like all the other cars around it are there and the list continues on but no XJR-9? Is this uncommon? I tried to see if this was already addressed but didn't see it in the thread and I'm sorry if I missed it.

Thanks again for all your guys's hard work. Awesome so far!
 
In the interest of science, I have started a new game to check my UCD

My day one car data is as follows:

Honda S2000 Type V '00
Mazda Roadster 1800RS NB '00
VW New Beetle 2.0 '00
Tom's X540 Chaser '00
Pontiac GTO 5.7 Coupe '04
Mercedes SL65 AMG R230 '04

These car's show up on the Fastas master list at game day 15 with one car offset to day 16.

So since my main game was on day 1605, I started to record the cars in my UCD. On my game day 1645 I match up with visualface's day 1631 data (Master List day 1663)

Eureka!!

I will send my car data to TornadoAlley so he can fill in some more slots on the Fastas master list.

Of interest: the following two cars showed up in my UCD during this stretch, so we can take them off the short list of cars not yet found!:)

well considering the Ford GT LM Race car only shows up once on each list i would start there.

the ford gt lm race car shows up on day 138 in master list 1 and day 864 on master list #2. what's interesting is that none of the other cars on either of those days match up with your list but on master list #2 the masda mx-5 miata shows up right next to the ford race car but none of the other cars match up
 
Sorry but this is all still greek to me, what does that mean? I know the save file said day one and the only thing I've used the account for is sending and receiving cars and paints.

the master lists found in the used car cycle spreadsheet is the exact order that the cars will appear in the ucd. however, each person starts in a different spot on ONE of the master lists. so while your game file is day 1, it may be, for example 800, on the master list.

so i took one of your cars that you listed (the ford gt lm race car, being the rarest) and searched for it in the master lists. wherever i found that car i then looked to see if the other cars that you listed were in that order on the master list.

What i was saying is that your list of cars did not matchup entirely in either of the master lists so i am guessing that you are in some part of the master list that has not been documented yet

It does, thanks. I really want that damned ford gt lm racer! Can I dupe a bunch of expensive cars, send them to that account over a week or so, sell them, buy the ford gt lm rc then send it to my main account?

yea. i don't see why not. as long as you don't advance game days in that dummy account
 
I've a-spec autogrinded until day 3887, no cycle as far as I can tell. About 770 game days to go until my a-spec Bob reaches level 40.

Attached file contains also some previously undocumented (or unpublished ) days for some of the rarer cars from master days 1255-1570
