One thing you could do if you want is to start correcting the order of cars in Fastas section of the list (where Khaddar's section ends). If you run across a yellow highlighted section in fastas list there are 7 cars in one day (not possible so one car is wrong) which also needs correcting.

The extra car on Fastas' day 850, is the "Nissan - MOTUL PITWORK Z '04"

My list has made it past this point, and on for another 30+ days.

As previously noted, my the early part of my list is now just a double check on Famine's.

Let us know if you match up at those days 01GTP. pr0cy0n622, you and myself will probably have to be aware of where we all are from now on because we are all at the same area.

I was looking ahead in the list where Tornado has days 947 -952 and I believe I have all the data to fill the gap from day 852.

I PM'd pr0cy0n622 to see what he has but I have not heard.
I told him I'll start with the last (946) and go backwards.
I figure if he has some to post it would be from day 852 on.

I'll still keep data until we get it cycled, if........

just thought i would add that i managed to match my friends list to master day 163 starting with "Subaru - IMPREZA Sedan WRX STi Version IV '97". he was on race day 151. I started a new account on his ps3 and his first cars in the ucd matched with master day 9 starting with "Renaultsport - Lutecia Renault Sport V6 24V '01"

I also thought i would see if the disc had anything to do with where you started on the cycle and i found it doesn't. I started a new account on his ps3 with my game disc and got the same cars as when i started a new account on it with his game disc

Added data up to master-day 888 to my google spreadsheet:

PM sent.
Thanks again for the help - with both our data, not only can we verify that our lists match - but we can fill this gap!

Yea - along with 01GTP, the three of us are all in the same neighbourhood.

I'm currently plowing my way through the B-Spec Extreme races, so my data collection will be a little slower than it has been.

I try to check this thread and Tornado's master google spreadsheet once a day - and if there are any changes, I grab them to keep my local copy up to date. If I see that you guys have filled a block in, I'll check to verify my cars match - but won't bother recording the data and updating my spreadsheet.

Thanks for the update. The spreadsheet with the program only contains days that I've verified via my main save. The most up to date spreadsheet is the compiled sheet I've got on google docs. I took a quick look and found where your list matches. In the compiled list if you add 19 to your days (with a couple of cars shifted) you will find the cycle.

Thanks for all the work you and others have put into this! 👍

I found I'm on day 2304 as of saving last night. Now i just need to save up for some dream cars I see coming up.

Any idea when or if this whole list starts over?

We have no idea when the list starts over.

I just want to thank everyone who has worked on the list. It has helped me greatly. I've been trying to let as many people know it exists so there could be more input into it and not everyone in the world is having to guess what cars are coming down the line, but if you can believe it, today I actually had someone deny that such a list could even be real and that it is all one big random mess. lol He said "I'd caution on the reliability of such a list. From my experience I think there's more than a little random to it." Some people, eh? lol

We would welcome anyone who is willing to help. And I think we can safely say (as you point out) that while it appears to be random there is some predictability to it.

Thanks for the good word! 👍

Edit:
I went ahead and got visualface's recent entry (day 1900) put in and added any other updates to the compiled list. If I ever miss someones contribution let me know. It is getting difficult at times to keep up with who has updates for me to get put in.

hey tornado, in the master list it says only 3 cars haven't been seen yet but i was looking through the master list to see where a mazda 787B race car might show up but it is not anywhere in the master list

The Mazda 787B is a premium. I know the car list shows it as a P/S which makes it seem like both premium and standard versions are available but I think for those only the premium is in the game. Obviously I'm not 100% sure until we can cycle the list but it seems like none of the P/S cars have shown up.

I didn't know it would show up in the UCD. It is a premium car after all.

Edit: Too slow on the reply

yea that makes sense. didn't realize it was a premium car

Hi All,
Just letting you all know what you probably already know but just putting it out there.
1. You ALL are doing a great job
2. Kazunori Yamagauchi is one smart son of a ***** and so is the rest of PD
3. Although it seems very unlikely that the UCD is not one massive cycle it's been getting more and more likely that its just not.

Also if you need even more help i can do the following
1. Give you my car list for each day
2. Make multiple accounts and see if they seem to tie up with each-other

AND JUST REMEMBER
U GUYS ARE DOING A GREAT JOB THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP

I've just got round to checking my second PS3's list. Day 41 exactly matches TornadoAlley's own Day 1 (45-46 on the master list). Day 1 is the last two cars of chances14's Day 1 and the rest from his day 2-5 (1-6 on the master list), which means chances14 starts four cars before I do on the second account.

Curious how I have two day 1s which overlap two other users' day 1s.

The extra car on Fastas' day 850, is the "Nissan - MOTUL PITWORK Z '04".......

YouichiHophop, can you confirm again the day which you are referring to; on my workbook my day 850 already has six cars.

....One thing you could do if you want is to start correcting the order of cars in Fastas section of the list (where Khaddar's section ends). If you run across a yellow highlighted section in fastas list there are 7 cars in one day (not possible so one car is wrong) which also needs correcting.

This isn't quite right, I should have explained this a bit clearer/explained it

Day checker tab:
Dark blue box is an accumulated total of cars recorded up to that particular day. As I didn't note them in a six car/day format at that point, I don't know which car appeared on which day specifically but, can say that those cars appeared on those days shaded light blue up to and including the dark blue box.

Green box with red text: is where the number of cars doesn't total six. This is because either:
Two matching cars appeared and so I didn't record both of them*, or,..
One or two cars slipped onto the following day, or,...
I simply didn't record a car that appeared.

Yellow box with day count: Is simply where I checked that the game day corresponded with my workbook.

Orange box:
Is where I knowingly missed a day/six cars.

I hope this clarifies the yellow box misnomer.

Dan.

*Subsequent identical cars appearing on same same have been suffixed with '2' after the two or three digit reference.

My yellow highlighted sections actually refer to instances from your workbook where there are 7 cars recorded for that day. I didn't look at your day checker code when determining that.

I wrote a program to convert all of your workbook into the format found in the compiled list. I won't go through all of the details here but it looked at each car and made as many copies of that car as there were availability days. Then it converted each of the codes into your game days. After all of that was finished it was then sorted by day.

After all of that I checked (by hand) that each day had six cars. Any that didn't I highlighted. I did figure your your suffix code '2' and got those put in. Any days that had 5 cars I just added a cell with a ? for the car.

If you look in your most recent worksheet and check there are 7 cars on your day 850 (even though your day checker sheet doesn't say so). Do a filter on availability for "contains" f1.

TornadoAlley,

It seems that I forgot to send some days, as there is a gap in my days in the compiled list. Here is full list of my days 939 - 1083.

Found few rare cars, my missing cars list is down to seven entries.

I see, you have highlighted your list with yellow.

Excluding my data collection, how many times do you figure to have seen the Motul Pitwork car? I added a question mark against that one because I wasn't sure if one or either of the first two entries were correct, I don't remember the reason.

I note you haven't superseded my entries for my day 268 yet but you did exclude the car from that day...

I didn't include the Motul in your day 268 as my program didn't know what to do with "fq?" You already had six cars for that day so I didn't put it in.

Below is what I currently have in the complied list (updated a few days ago).

Day..............Cars................................Original List from...Days for individual user
11.......Nissan - MOTUL PITWORK Z '04.....chances14...........7
435.....Nissan - MOTUL PITWORK Z '04.....Crazedmodder.......420

I work as a programmer so it's pretty obvious that GT5 uses an initial seed (say the date/time when you first start the game) and then uses a standard pseudo-random number generator to come up with the sequence of cars. This will be deterministic (in that the same car sequences will always come up for a given seed) but it will effectively be different for each person. So there's no way anyone will be able to predict what comes up next.

I suggest reading: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudorandom_number_generator

I'm hoping they used a "standard pseudo-random number generator" to come up with one long list of cars, saved that list to the disc, and then our start point on the list is determined using some factor(s) we haven't yet been able to put our finger on (apparently something on the ps3 thanks to investigations by other users).

While I agree about the initial seed why then do we have all of the users so far on this forum finding where they match up with our "master" list even though no one (to my knowledge) has started with the same initial seed?

Once a user matches up to the master list EVERY car from then on is the same for them.

I think its tied to our individual PS3's. Thats why when we start a new game on another account on the same ps3 its the same day 1 we would have had on our master account.

yes it is. i created an account on my friends ps3 with my game disc and i got a different set of starting cars than i did on my ps3 using the same disc
