The gap between master-day 1002-1047 is now filled. Starting to work on the next gap: day 1052 forward.

https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=0AkKVFQSqKBCudGdxaTJycmhtTnRZSjduZkdlUzlBUFE&hl=en&output=html

I have the data for filling the master list from days 886 - 967.
That is about all the data I have for now as I'm at 988 days in my game.

I also found some typos in pr0cy0n622's list.
On master list day 954 the car should be listed as an 300 Z instead of an 280.
The other is on day 957, the car should be the Fairlady from my list, it looks as though you copied the RX-7.

Thanks for filling in the gap!
Great catch finding those cars too! Thanks for the double-check!

I'm not using this account as much these days but I'll continue to post Mile Markers from time to time...

amazing thanks So So much for this, takes a lot of time to do this sort of thing and you get nothing in return, This guy deserves a membership or something for his hard work

Keep it up

This is a good tool. Thanks again for compiling the data.

I'm on day 1659. I'll try to start getting the list together when I get home from work this morning.

Compiled list updated.

No big developments to report. Just that there is a whole lot of cars in that list

Those of you who are in the "second half" of the list. I had to add more days after 911_RS entries so your master days have changed.

I've considered splitting the lists into two separate worksheets until we know for certain that the two lists are part of one master list. Thoughts?

I still can't find where I am in the list. I had a XJ220 LM Racecar and a Peugeot 905 Racecar in mine at the same time. I thought I had it figured out when I found these in close proximity around day 410 on the master list. Now I can't seem to get it to match up after that though. You'd think with all the days documented I'd match up somewhere. Are there others that can't find a match on this database?

If you look at the most recent sheet I find two places where those two cars appear less than 5 days apart. Master day 410 and 413 OR master day 1998 and 1999. Without knowing more of your current lot it is hard to pinpoint it much better than that.

All I'm after is the Pescalaro C60 '03 to complete the set of Indy Enduro cars. Turned up several times early game when I lacked cash or level or both. Since I decided I wanted it, never seen it.

Searched the net looking for tips, possible cheats (nothing), anything for this car. Found this topic which seems to contain the best information on the USDs' mechanics there is. Not studied the data in detail yet and might be back for help, though I've noted that the C60'03 does indeed appear to be a very rare car which is kind of reassuring.

So basically this is just to say that the contributors to this topic are doing a superb job, the dedication, perseverance and patience that must be required is gob-smacking.

Don't know if this is of any use but in my day crunching to get fresh cars in the UCD, rather than use the licence method I hit A-spec, Beginner, Sunday cup, first race, then click start then quit five times in a row. Maybe just me but feels slightly quicker because there’s only one major load up involved and the pointer jumps to the choices given.

But do keep going people, this project is awesome. I salute you.

i like the idea of 2 lists. i think it would make it easier to navigate between the 2 if they were separate sheets

i got extremely lucky the other day and got one with a level 1000 ticket. i couldn't believe my good fortune. the c60 03 is for sure one of the most rare cars in the game. if you look on the master sheet, it only shows up 3 times

That wasn't a 1000 ticket chances14, that was a dream ticket.:sly:

Strange thing is am sure car turned up more than three times for me. Honestly thought it was a fairly common car at first.

Abut 'the cycle' by the way. Start new game, record initial UCD, crunch 5 days, record completely refreshed UCD. Could that data be referenced to the current documentation?
Could you then reload day 1 and crunch 365 days at a time. Perhaps the day 1 might reapear on one of those 365 day intervals, if the following 5 day crunch also matched that initial 5 day crunch, would that give the cycle?

Erm is that all a bit naive. Just that using 'race crunching' you could churn thru days in a fairly short time.

Thanks. The area around 410 didn't work out, but I didn't see the area around 1998 and 1999. I'll try searching that area out.

I'm not very good with Excel. Is there a way to search for a specific cell. i.e. if I find one cell with the contents i want can I search for other cells that match it. I'm guessing that might be how you found those cars in the 1998 area.

Good news

I just looked that area up and it seems to match. I had a few cars documented before and after those two and they match up as well. I'll confirm when I get home.

I feel like I'm doing something wrong...

Using this version of the Database, I've found where I am, roughly, but cars are not matching up at all.

I used the Sauber as my guide and am roughly at master day 2424. The problem is, the six cars that showed up on that day don't seem to follow any particular pattern relating to the database. How they appear in-game:

V8S '91 - M3 CSL '03
MR Wagon Sport '04 - Fit W '01
Sauber Mercedes C9 Race Car '89 - FTO GP Version R '99

And, just to maybe shed some light, the next 6 car slot, again as viewed in-game:

RGT '00 - Celica GT-Four (ST205) '98
Move SR-XX 4WD '97 - 3000GT SL (J) '95
Charger Super Bee 426 Hemi '71 - Mini Cooper S '02

Seems I've found my spot, but my car order is more than a bit unusual... that or I'm reading things wrong :p

At this point, two lists probably wouldn't hurt - at the very least to maybe improve the performance when viewing it online.

I'll be curious what happens when data starts getting filled in north of 911_RS' data. I do hope that this will eventually be just one list - rather than two separate ones - if for no other reason than I just like the idea of one Master List vs. Multiple Masters. We'll see...

You're probably in the right area, it's just Fastas' data tends to not be in exactly the correct order. As TornadoAlley gets reports of corrected orders in Fastas' data, he corrects the master list accordingly.

You found your spot in the list correctly and as was already mentioned anytime you see Fastas as the contributor the order within his day is unknown. The order for each of Fastas days is actually alphabetical and not the order that they appear in the game.

It gets really confusing in your case as your first four cars are on Fastas day 675 and the other two are on his day 676 which just adds to the apparent randomness.

You can still use the list to find a car in the future as that part is correct.

EDIT: To find your game day, quit game, scroll up on the XMB to PSR Saved Data.. x that and the GT5 logo will appear and tell you your current game day and credits....

You are kickin' azz on the game days, bro.....👍

I'm currently leveling up 4 other accounts at the moment.... using the UCD directory to acquire those previously ignored cars is as easy as paint by numbers....Brilliant!

To reiterate; I compile my list on the basis that I only need to know the day for each car and not the individual order that they occur within that day. To work around the issue of not knowing the exact order is exaggerated some by TornadoAlley's method and his copying of my data.

The advantages of my method (when viewed on my workbook) is that I only have one list of cars which, doesn't grow! It also makes it a lot speedier for me to record the data as it occurs on my game.

Using my sheet makes it a lot easier to view individual car data and it's given regularity of appearance and has sufficient information to confidently know when any given car might appear with out a great deal of effort.

The drawback is that it is only partially compatible with Tornado's sterling work of compiling all of the contributor's records and, of course you need to be aware that any given day for someone else could be intermingled with the preceding or subsequent day, depending on how you look at it.

If you find that your game is sharing the UCD order with my recorded data you may be better off using my data sheet and if you so desire, note the order of the cars within each day for TornadoAlley's master list.

D.

I think your system is very elegant and compact for recording the UCD. The issue that arises (as you mentioned) is when someone is offset from your hextets.

Its interesting how everyone has a way that they find more comfortable to visualize the information. I like being able to scroll through a sequential list to see what cars are coming up (or use the filter function to see when a particular car is going to show up next).

I didn't mean to come across a belittling your work (and apologize if I did). I think it is great that we have so much of the info recorded (even though we have no clue how far we will have to go).

Yeah, so my disappearance... school. Sorry guys I don't think I'll be able to provide much data for awhile but I'll be following the thread and filling in anything that needs it.

And I think that splitting the lists might help, I can't believe how long it is!

OK, I'm confused as hell. I've read about 15 pages of this thread and I still can't find where I am in everyones lists. I know the cycle of cars through the UCD is huge but I'm hoping from my current list of cars someone can find where I am up to and when I might stumble across a Chap 2J or 2D, the Toyota 7 Race Car or a decent Le Mans style car.

Game day from XMB = 388
Current UCD is

Thanks mate!

Yep thats definitely me by the looks of it. Remember some of the previous cars as well.

Thanks again, not sure how you found it cause i looked forever but appreciate your time.

Cheers

I just wanted to give a major THANK YOU for all the insane, intense work all you guys have done compiling the ucd lists. As others here, I've been on the hunt for a Formula GT. I missed it the first time 'round. But I was able to match the list I found here to what is currently in my ucd and found out that I only have about 160 days left til the next one comes up. However, I did notice a 22 day difference between the list and my race day number. So, I wrote down on a piece of paper the number of day to watch out for +/- 10 days just to be safe. Of course, to be even safer, I'll still check after every 3 events, just to safe.
So, again, I just wanted to give props to all you for such meticulous work!

Ahhh, that explains it. Like you said later, it's interesting how everyone chooses different ways of recording the info, based off their preferences. I had been recording mine with the colours listed, for example, before I gave up on that (but did start on the Colour Database instead).

It's been said a bunch of times already, but can't be said enough; top work to all contributing 👍

What day is your game on...

That'd be 663.

no problem. basically what i do is take one of your cars that you listed (in this case i happen to know that the Panoz - Esperante GTR-1 Race Car '98 is a rare car and only shows up 4 times in the list) and search for it in the database using the find and replace function. Then i just go down the list of places where that car is listed and look for other cars nearby that you listed in your post. it's really just trial by error
