If GT5 uses the world map in GT4, which region will have the most cars that you like?

  • America, baby! Vettes, Stangs, Vipers, pure American bad-ass muscle machines!

    Votes: 47 9.8%
  • Europe, of course! We flaunt the finest cars, from Ferrari to Mercedes-Benz to BMW.

    Votes: 283 58.7%
  • Japan, no doubt! From the dirt lovin' Escudo, to the asphalt eating Minolta, Japan covers it all ve

    Votes: 132 27.4%
  • Don't forget Australia, guys....We're here, too, and we'll be better than ever!

I voted Japan not because of the Escudo or the Minolta, but the Skyline GT-R.

Let's see:

America: Not much of worth here, sorry to say. The muscle cars are classic, but not my favorite, and the only cars I truly like are the Corvette and the Viper, and that's not enough to nominate it as my favorite.

Australia: getting better. More average cars, but they're like modern muscle cars, all the insanity in a straight line with at least some cornering prowess. Still, nothing that stirs the soul.

Europe: Everything I like. The ubersaloons, the most beautiful cars around, and arguably the best supercars. Europe does indeed stir the soul, with fantasy machines, exclusive cars, and cars that'll put hair on your eyeballs. Even with the amount of sheer soul stirring occurring here, I have to give the vote to...

Japan: Yes, Japan. The cars lack that which I hold dear; soul. The cars are engineering marvels, but you get the feeling they were engineer's toys. But the reason I skewed my vote, was thanks to the availability of the sports cars. Skylines aren't too expensive, some of the best cheap sports cars are Japanese, like the 350/370Z, Toyota Trueno, and others. I could pick up one of these cars reasonably. And I'd have a hell of a time. And for the true reason I skewed my vote? They're easily modified. The lack of soul that is found in even the best of Japanese cars? Give it your own. Do some modifications to it. Install that new exhaust, give it it's new intake, but do it yourself. And that missing soul? It's being added. With your own. The point of my choice is not to go with the car with the most soul, it's the car where you can put the most of your soul into it, and make that car less an object, and more an inanimate extension of you. Sure, you can buy an Alfa Romeo, and you can tell there's soul and passion there, but the connection may be lacking. Take an old Z car, and give it modifications. Yourself. And the you will find the missing soul, is replaced with your own.

Europe all the way... BMW!!! Also not to forget Japan for the Subaru :D But at the end, I voted Europe...

Thats a tough question!

I love american muscle cars, but i also like european touring cars and super sports cars. My first few cars will most likely be Audis and BMWs, but after that, iam going to buy several Corvettes, a Viper, a Camaro and the 1970 Mustang from the SEMA.

Iam still hoping for the 1971 Chevelle to make an appearence in GT5 (1970 Chevelle was in GT4), just like the Boss 302 and the 1972 Mach 1.

Iam not that much into japanese cars, but i will definately buy some Skylines, Imprezas, Evos and Supras, just for the sake of having them.

Edit: i voted for europe, just because of Audi and BMW :D

I know, but i still have my hopes high, that i might win enough money/cars with all license tests on gold, so maybe i can afford a used Audi S4 from 1998, or a "used" BMW 135i or something.

On GT4 i bought the old Supra 3.0GT Turbo-A from 1988.

I'm hoping if there is used cars there will be more choice than an old Evo, Skyline RX7 or MX5, as much as i love those cars, i want an old BMW 5 series for <10k, i want an old Jag XJ, i want some old American muscle cars with 300k miles on the clock for next to nothing.

I want more choice for my early cars.

If they re-balance the prices more in line with real life i would go with Europe, but looking at the prices in GT4 and in GT5P, i'm going to have to say Japan still wins it for me.

They never made prices according to the actual prices in real life. The prices represented the overall performence of the car and the year it was produced. Older cars with high performence are rarely present in the game, the Evos, Skylines and the old Supra were the only ones, that had a good power/weight ratio and were affordable. They are the only ones that could even be used for more then just sundays cup.

With prices i was referring to new cars. As for the old/used cars, i'm just expecting a better choice for your first car thats all.

I voted for Europe. I really love american muscles(can't believe that they will stop viper's production...👎) and japanese sportscars( GTR rlz...), but they aren't so appealing when compared to BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, RUF(or maybe the little horse from stuttgart ..)......in fact, the muscles are the funniest cars to drive and i'm really expecting to play championships plenty full of Chargers, Shelby GT350, Camaro Z/28, GTO.....i'm still wondering how their interiors may look like....they're all amazing.......

FORD GT!! Taking it to Le Mans.

Yes, and end up being lapped every 4 laps by modern GT1 cars. No offence mate, the GT40's slowness has been an endless source of amusement for me.

What... the hell? You are comparing a 40-year old car to modern GT1 cars? This car won the 24 Hours of Le Mans four times in a row. It isn't slow by any means. When compared to modern GT1 cars, it likely is. Still, that isn't what you tried to say...

Japan/Europe is tied for me. But with Ferrari and Lamborghini added I think Europe might be a little ahead. Just need confirmation of Koenigsegg and Europe it will be

Europe and America both appeal to me more than Japan for cars and car culture, but that's not to say I dislike Japanese cars or car culture i any way.

I'm just so excited to see how many new models make it into GT5 (that didn't exist or missed the cut in GT4). Lke RUF, for example. I hope the CTR3 makes it in. Also, the RT-12. That would make me so happy. And that's just ONE manufacturer from Europe.

I voted Europe as Ferrari and Lamborghini are in now, and there's all the British stuff too - McLaren etc. But Japan is a very close second.
