GT5net_ Who are they?

Racing on SUZUKA PP600 tonite I noticed 3 racers with GT5net_ at the start of there names. All three were French. I had a decent battle with one of them in his white M3, very quick and clean too.

Anybody else seen or know of them?
 
I 1st met them a couple of days ago and they were not that friendly. Same as tonight in the same race as you at suzuka 600 a maroon Clio just wanted to push me off at every opportunity he/she got but it does seem there are a few clean racers from them aswell

Had the same experience and watched them punt some other GTP_ racers off the track who were in front of me.. I was leading a race till the last lap where I then got dusted up badly through a series of punts... all were GT5Net racers... In saying that I have had some close racing with others of the same tag, but in my experience they will punt a non GT5Net racer for their own gain.

They have made my list.

We are actually wearing this tag online and as you all know in races there is often some pushes... be sure they are are not intentional and players from our board love having clean races with every one.

I cannot garranty that like in other boards, some players wearing our tag will not punt you off track... what I expect is that they will wait for you after doing that mistake.

We often met GTP's, GTRP's and other board players since the Japanese version and had clean races with them. It's not because we are wearing this tag that our behaviour might change.... I allready advise them that there are now more viewable from others :) and that their behavior online has to be the cleanest possible for not having a bad reputation.

I come from GTChallenge and am wearing the same GTC tag as Manucobalt.
I am now participating a lot in this new board and teach them as much online rules as possible.

If you have to complain about some of us wearing our tag, please feel free to PM me or post in english in our board in the online section.

Very nice to have that sort out from the beginning.

From what he said, it's not much different than what we have going here; they're apparently trying hard to make things clean and smooth too. 👍
 
From my experience so far, they are good drivers. Last night especially, I had a nice 1st place battle at the 600pp suzuka race between two GT5net members (using an R8 and EVO 9). The one guy in the R8 who attempted to overtake made sure he kept a good distance away from me, which was nice. It was a nice clean non-contact race… and I managed to keep them behind me. :)

I’m glad there are other people using Forum/site tags. It’s a bit like the Montagues and capulets… only without pointy swords.

I ever have a nice race with one of you : GTRP_Klopfer, if you know him. and i have send him a thanks because of is good driving :)

Hope to meet you again in those 500 or 600 pp

PS : are you using skype or anything else to communicate together during races. If not I recommend you this, we are all using it and some night we are around 12 players connected together :)

Klopfer is from Gran Turismo Racing Point - http://www.gtrp.de/ - but he's certainly a well-known driver and rather quick too :D
 
meh i'll have to pull out my french english dictionary again. I realized just now that i forgot a lot of the really simple french phrases like "Combien?"

Unless the person has the exact letters GTP_ you can safely say that they aren't from this website.

I believe that skype is a headset type chat, yes? So you can talk to your buddies during the race.

People I race with use some kind of instant message to sync up with the clock, whether it be a shoutbox, gmail chat or MSN. It is the best thing besides a private room. If you want to race alone with your buddies try starting at odd times. Not only 2 minutes past, but say 2.5 minutes past, it can weed out most people. Of course when its the weekend and everybody's playing, well then, you get what you get. At least you can race with your buddies.
This past weekend was my first 16 car race, very unstable. Next race, 3 cars and very stable.

Yes we communicate while online via headset with mic :)

Skype : http://www.skype.com/intl/en/download/skype/windows/

This allows us to all push the race button at the same time, to communicate each other during the race (ex : "I'm passing you on the inside" or "go on pass me you are faster")

This makes races more fun and thanks to it we are often 10 friends on 12 players on the same race ;)
 
I would use voice comms on my comp, if it wasnt for my mic breaking apart recently. I'll just have to wait for them to patch in voice chat, I dont have the money to buy another (decent) mic.
 
My PC is upstairs in my spare room and my PS3 is downstairs in front of the plasma screen. Is there any genereric voice app for ps3? I'm thinking even an embedded web applet or something

Have to say, that those races were definitely enjoyable!! Best races I´ve so far had, just because there were so many fast&clean drivers. Enjoyed racing with you guys! See you all soon! 👍
 
I have just raced with 3 GT5net racers and they were absolutely awesome. If any of you are reading this, please tell GT5net_scarface that I am sorry for ruining his race earlier.

Those GT5net guys really do know how to drive and they do it honourably too. I look forward to racing them again.

Apparently the guys from PSComm are trying to do the same thing on Saturday night. Who knows it might end up as one rather large party where there are no idiots and we can all have a great time!

I will certainly be on Saturday night, but that's your Saturday morning... LOL. I guess that means I'll have to be online all night until Sunday morning!

The downside of living 'down under'! Hehehe!
