So , i hear most of you saying that GT5D is great ,and actually better than GT5P.

Can you point out the differences for a former GT fan like me who thinks Gt5d is a dissapointment?

If you have a PS3 and have played GT5P, why not download the time trial and see for yourself?! There are also plenty of threads that bring up the differences.

What did you find disappointing about GT5P?

I said GT5D is a dissapointment , not the other way around.

I cant get to the top of the leaderboard as easy as i could in GT5P because of the new physics

Hey Tony, i translated your message for you so that other people could understand what you really meant. no need to thank me

It does seem most people who are upset with the demo, are really slow.

I had one guy telling me Forza's physics are better than GT's. Subsequently he was outside of the 4000th mark in the UK table.

Back on topic...Both cars on the N and R tyres are less stuck to the ground. The transfer in weight is a lot more apparent in the game, which means braking points and direction changes are more crucial. I've never been spinning so much before and this is true for a bad driver like myself, who is pushing too hard.

I like it.

The Forza forums are full of that, infact they act like Mario kart has better physics than GT (any GT, but especially this demo).

💡 err... well I'm about 200th or so in Portuguese table... and that is no reason for me thinking the demo is a disappointment...

Actually I feel that physics, in road/tire contact is better than prologue... although there's still things on that matter to be improved.

That's not what GTP_rpm said.

Complaining=slow does not mean slow=complaining (like ball=something round does not mean someting round=ball). ;) A former member over here once said 'Those who can do, those who can't complain'. Even though said member has been banned here, I kind of like that saying. :)
I'm not the fastest myself, but I sure as hell love the GT Academy demo! 👍

Ontopic: sounds are also updated and FFB is improved.

Wheel/pedals and six-axis users may have very different feelings on it.

From six-axis perspective, it's better than Prologue. The improvements to the steering controlling now means that we can actually race the car, catch oversteer, and even deliberately slide around under control. GT5P was a nightmare for six-axis steering.

There is only one big problem remaining - the six-axis throttle distribution. If they update this to having an even distribution (so that for example, 20% input on analogue stick gives 20% output, or 68% input gives 68% output), then GT5 will be arguably the most accurate sim across all Playstations, for six-axis users.

^^^ Agreed.

I used to find myself going full lock on the steering (analog stick) to get some cars to turn in Prologue. Can't really do that anymore.

Its hard to compare the two unless you have been playing GT5P on Pro physics and have raced FR cars.

As for me I love GT5P but have only ever played on standard physics so Im finding TT a bit of a nightmare at the moment as its so different (for me). This does not mean its bad though it just means im having to put in a load of practice to reduce my times, im currently dropping 0.5 - 1 sec each day but im still 3 secs of the leaders as i have only managed a 1:38:9xx on the tuned 350.

Anyway back to the question you asked, if you likes GT5P then you will like GT5 TT BUT it will annoy the hell out of you if my experience is anything to go by

For some, but not for all. I can switch back and forth from Prologue to the Demo and can adapt rather quickly to either one.

You talk too much Mr DK..hope you won't regret it.

Sure.... but then wouldn't that make 2 of us?
I'm afraid you are too slow.
i told you were slow..but NOBODY listened...everybody thought i was being cocky..
No further discussion. Let's settle this on the track. Tommorow night. If you still think you can beat my GTLM...

New personal best: 1:31.817.
Total time: 15:23.985

The numbers above are maybe the reason that only really good drivers race this event anymore

and lmao @ hope you wont regret it

:tup:Absolutely correct

:tup:I hope they will fix this...

The demo rocks! I'm really impressed with the physics, very very realistic, well done PD.

Oh yeah, I'm slow with a controller ( stuck at 1:40:xx after fifteen laps with the tuned car ), the physics made the braking points and the entering angles of the turns very important, so you must study the track to get better times, and I don't have the time needed right now....:indiff:

I hope PD lock the physics at the professional setting in GT mode of the full game....I'm slow, but a couple of seconds faster than my brothers because of them :)

Well im one of the dissapointed drivers. But not about the Demo itself, that i think its much better in everyway! Im only dissapointed about the options they choose to sixaxis drivers to (have to) use! I use the buttons since 1910, so its hard for me to use the analogue for accelerating and braking... I only could turn off the active steering only in a few cars! The hood view wich i always used and above all the TCS on all the time! Sixaxis are slower than wheels naturally by the physics, so why try to make them even more slow? Maybe im complaining to much... and maybe i was slow after all... or maybe i get mad one of these days and learn to drive with pad all over again:idea:!

EDIT: Im a BIG Metallica fan:D! Well pointed out:lol:!

You have absolutely right tony, as I said in another thread:
I tried for few hours the tuned Nissan and I have to say the grip of that thing is unreal. It reminds me standard physics of gt5p.You need to have very big imagination to go fast. It’s totally wrong. This car has more grip than a f1.Look at kimi @Indianapolis:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBxp...FD98D0C5&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=73 and compare that with holl's lap.
Mr Yamauchi you’re going the wrong way.GT5P is almost perfect simulator don’t ruin that. You can compare any hot lap from gt5p with real life video and you see exactly the same inputs. That’s the real driving simulator.
If they drive like the demo at Silverstone, there’re going to be a lot of big accidents.

George

GEORGE_GR33,

i don't think the grip in the tuned 370Z is unreal, i watched the video and i coudn't point nothing wrong with the game.
And if you compare the level of Grip between the Tuned 370Z and the F1 in GT5P you'll find that's not true. The physics is a lot better than in Prologue, but understeer seems to be overdone, hope they fix it. And i try some drift with the Stock car, you have to me waaay more carefuly with the trotlhe now, but one thing that i don't like is that the nose of the car quickly turns when you countersteer, but i never tried to drift with N3 tires, maybe with N2 i can drift better.
