At this rate, I wouldn’t be surprised if the shifty staff of GT Planet pulls a few favors and SOMEHOW manage to sneak in a certain audio-snippet that activates when you press the Buy now-button for the GT7 PowerPack DLC.

I heard what could have been the drums out of a car parked outside through two or three windows and got away with it in my mind.

That was last year, but it didn't save me from tears :cry:.

Well last night was a shocker. My wife got us tickets to the mayor's Christmas carols so I knew it was going to be unlikely to get thru the night without hearing it. I was right they had a short 10 second snippet early in the night during a kids dance number, then later a cover as the last song of the night and then played the original during the fireworks. 🙄. They also had two different covers of last Christmas but not the original so still safe there.
 
Had a mini heart attack when my Mum was playing music and I heard the dreaded "yoooooouuuu"

Thankfully it was a completely different song and not by Mariah Carey.

She gives me PTSD man

I'm out. I had my phone set to automatically mute when opening Instagram, and even a pop-up reminder to avoid getting Carey'd - but I let my guard down when watching Reels... again. :banghead:

Got my hair cut on Friday. The place I get it cut usually has one of the local radio stations playing, but that day, someone's christmas playlist was playing. And while the guy cutting my hair was doing a fantastic job and meticulously making sure he was doing well with the details, it took a bit longer than it usually takes.

Sure enough, towards the end, Mariah Carey decides to show up. Out on both fronts.

...and to add a smidge more salt in the wound, George showed up as soon as Mariah's song was done, despite me already having been whammed earlier in the week.

My partner was showing me Instagram videos of dogs and cats for adoption, of course with volume on. I think this is the earliest I've been outed since playing this game. Whammed the following night by a Christmas playlist that had blacklisted Mariah.

I don't think I'll ever get into the top 100 again. Anyway I was starting to get PTSD from the dreadful time trial around here with the X2019 Competition in late 2022, but I pretty quickly got over it because the KTM is slower and way more fun to drive. Time trials don't have to be a pain in the butthole!

Got a close call at work today when they played that Melanie Thornton song from the Coca Cola commercials for the first time this year. I‘m pretty sure Mariah Carey will follow at any moment. 😂
