So by this logic, all arcade racers are obviously **** and GT is "the best" because of it's physics which are still buggy and dodgy at best, nevermind the PS1 era sounds, the PS2 cars, the lack of customization, the 90s styled menus, the huge amount of irrelevant cars, the lack of damage, the horrible estructure of it's career mode, the awful AI, the lack of options for racing, the stupid restrictions like the paint chip system.

Nevermind all of that, the rest of the game can continue to be crap as long as the physics are good you guys will be happy so why bother arguing with us wether Shift 2 is good or not, you obviously don't need or you don't want any other racing game besides GT.

If you want I can show you myself driving these "unbearable" cars completely stock but it's pointless because you've already made up mind so stay on your side and enjoy your game, just don't act like GT is perfect.
Where in @dragonitti 's post did he say GT's physics were perfect!? Oh my lord... He was just explaining the reason why I didn't like Shift's physics and why I kept saying there were icy. Also very interesting you say "all arcade racers", so that makes Shift an arcade racer (even though it was in the first place). Thank you. :sly:

As are you known as one of the biggest critics, and you know what they say when 2 massive forces collide.

They cancel each other out.
Nope they should meet somewhere in the middle ;)

I can't believe this thread is still alive honestly.
Thanks for this contribution 👍

I approach things with a fair and balanced method. I figured you would realized that being that I have more than just GT franchise seat time.

I already stated above that I liked the AI in Shift, so not sure why you made that comment. The sounds are pretty good also. Those as I also mentioned before, do not supersede the physics/handling for me. I value physics and handling over AI and Sound. Now there are a couple of cars in GT that I stopped driving simply because they sound horrible. But so far that has only happened to the Anniversary cars. The regular version of the same car sounds way better than the Anniversary version, so I almost never drive the Anni cars.

I agree, if you can admit GT6 cannot compare with Shift for sounds or AI, i can admit Shift 2 cannot compare with GT6 for it's physics. Which is in the end something we both seem to agree on ;)

@PepeMickey Really? You are to far in left field that I'm not even going to bother replying to that. And I'm not going to repeat myself, you could simply read back through the comments and answer those questions.

Well if you truly believe that sim-racing exists on consoles, it's your problem, We're talking about games here, you guys are the ones acting like GT's physics are so "real" that they're enough to overlook all the flaws (which are a lot)

I'm pretty sure I never said GT's physics were "real". Why not just go back and read my earlier posts... Also, don't care if a racing game is a sim or not, I play both.

Well then, you shouldn't have a problem with a game's physics, so all your arguments about GT being better because of the physics are invalid. All I'm saying is that these are just games and the important thing here is fun, you're the one making divisions and contradicting yourself.

SMH...

The DEVS of the Gran Turismo series and the Shift series should just for once join together to make the ultimate Driving/Racing game ever. GT6 is great and all, but some things are a lot better in Shift 2.

Slightly Mad Studios (Shift 2 Dev) are currently making Project CARS, a racing similator currently in Beta.

Still, I like how on Shift 2, when you rev cars like the Corvette Stingray, the car tilts a little to the side to show its power. Just another thing that I wish was in GT6. Drag racing on Shift 2 was awesome too. The Stingray has a delay between shifts where the car's passengers are shunted forward and it's hard to keep the car on the 1/4 mile at launch because of the power. We need dragging like in Shift 2, in GT6.
