GT6 Hacks?

Wish someone manage to hack Alfa VGT using the available code..... before it got erased......
It wasn't even finished, so I doubt it would work.

I have only encountered one hacked car in GT6. But I have not been in a drag racing room in just over a year.

The implication here being that people with hacked cars tend to hang out in drag rooms? :odd: 💡

Since PD doesn't seem to care about putting proper races into GT6 it would be great to have a hack that would take the features that are already available in the game (standing starts, mechanical damage, fuel/tire wear, penalties, full balanced grid) and make them available in arcade mode.
A hack that makes all cars available as courtesy cars in arcade mode would be nice too.

They can regularly be found in Drag Racing lobbies. The thing is most noobs would never know the difference or bother looking at the car/users stats, if they lose. So they do tend to slip by. But a vet will quickly question a ridiculous loss with the same car. I've seen everything from a few pp difference or tire alteration, too a Jay Leno Tank Car that was pretty much a Monster electric Susuki Escudo looking thing. :D

I don't know if this is true on tires but I was told if you have traction control off and your tires don't smoke it means you have hacked tires

Still very possible, so long as you're mapped to the triggers, rather than the massively out-dated default controls

since i usually run the room is their anything i should try and look out for?

As you can see... sometimes people smoke the tires... the majority of the time they do not.

I don't know if it would be that not-obvious in a lobby with PP circuit racing.
Every Youtube video I've seen of cheating hackers over time has been someone acted the complete fool on track.
(ie: driving like an idiot from sloppy corner to sloppy corner)

And every time I've heard people talk about hacked cars they always mention "it had whatever HP" - so usually that's how people know someone's got a hack.

And usually it's RIDICULOUS amount of HP.
These people don't hack a few HP into a Toyota Supra to sneak it into a 440pp race at Grand Valley.
They're jacking up supercars and stuff.

Power, weight and PP are the only signifiers that will give the game away. Make sure you regulate all three, as a detuned and hacked car will more often be slower than a legit car when fitted to the same regs.

As I stated in the above video, the unofficial/hacked car has been restricted back to 614pp, which is what the official car runs.
The Gold car is the normal, in-game tuned car. In order to eliminate as many "human errors" as possible I have used automatic transmission and not used nitrous.
Gt6 hybrids can be beaten, if you regulate your lobbies in the correct way.

usually we don't go over 655 pp for races unless we do a LMP race

Well then how do explain the guy claiming they're running rampant in circuit racing lobbies?

You just set the PP/HP/KG - and the hacked car can't get around that?
Hardly a problem then.

Rampant? Highly doubtful, as the ban hammer is getting used in a much more efficient way this time. And yes, as I stated already,,, "Gt6 hybrids can be beaten, if you regulate your lobbies in the correct way"

This has always been the case, but some people just won't listen to reason.

Drivetrain swaps certainly do cause issues that PP/HP/KG rules can't prevent.

Edit: We had a chap join a drag lobby in a supra. I had my R32GTR out and he lined up next to me. He out launched me and pulled away decent. I immediately went to the member list to look at the stats. Stats were identical to a legit supra for HP and KG, but the PP was 35 points higher.

He was running a 4WD in his supra with some level of grip mod as well. I asked if he was able to detune the PP to the same level as what a supra would be. He did so, and even though his car had less HP than a normal supra it still out launched one. Over a 1/4 mile his supra was 5 car lengths in front of a drag tuned legit supra.

thankfully we don't see much of hackers. more the cut corners/smash into people

Drivetrain and chassis swaps certainly do cause issues that PP/HP/KG rules can't prevent.
Drivetrain swaps affect PP too, as these have theoretical grip changes, a FR Civic has a different PP to an FF Civic with no other changes to specs.

EDIT: ,, and chassis swaps affect the weight too, also changing the final PP of the car. The only things you can do that won't affect the PP now is add aero to a car that shouldn't have it, though most people won't think of this, as they just go for power or weight multipliers etc,

*snip*,,,, 4wd Supra,,,
It can be done, but involves a lot more work than most people are willing to put into it.

I was referring to the guy earlier in the thread commenting that he's seeing people run Mid-Field in times he doesn't believe.
I also thought that was dubious, as I said.

It can't be running rampant ,or there would be more fresh recent Youtube videos documenting it... and a lot more people to show up in this thread detailing the incidents.

I never came across a car that was hacked. (but I did a lot on GT5)

It's less common now since it's not as easy as GT5 and Polyphony Digital was quick to pull out the ban hammer when people started hacking. There is a chance that there are still some out there but the person gets kicked and reported most of the time.

I would guess that the majority of the hackers are wise enough on the bans that they have a friends list purely comprised of hackers and friends that are ok with hacking. They simply run friends only lobbies and enjoy their mods together as a group within the safety of the group. This could be drifting, dragging, circuit or even just cruise/stance lobbies.
The minority are the people that we see join our public lobbies and yes, they are probably the ones that haven't really put a lot of effort in to their hacks. They are more obvious and generally have the "look at me, aren't I cool" type nature.

Pretty sure that's a typo, right? :odd:

Yeah, and that's not cheaters... not in the sense that the OP or others are talking about cheaters.

Exactly.
Most are going to be just goofy trying to call attention to themselves... or just over the top they won't be able to help calling attention to themselves.
So like @ryzno said, I could see in some drag lobby someone unsavvy getting taken for a ride by a hacker once in awhile.
But in a circuit racing lobby with the regulations set for PP/HP/KG... these people are not going to slip by and have lobby hosts scratching their heads wondering "what if?"... they're going to know something's fishy, not just have some vague paranoia that everyone who sets a good lap time is hacking.

Oh, thanks for letting me know about the typo.

.57 minutes would be about 34.2 seconds
.57 could more easily be mistaken as just over half a second. These things matter. ;)

I've had a few people call me a cheat, just for running fast laps, and I smell fish,
57seconds in midfield raceway, with mini vision.............. not a cheater?

Some of the Time Trials have been hacked recently. They're out there...

Will also incurr a ban, unless there are other ways of completely hiding the fact you have hacked the car that the network cannot detect, something I haven't heard of yet.

Example, I had a save on a secondary account just used for messing around, drifting some 4wd converted FF cars. I used to do it offline due to ban paranoia, then they updated the game to revert the car back to how it should be when playing offline, but for reasons only explainable using PD logic you could use them online.
Set up a private/ friends only lobby with a completely blank friends list, nobody else in the lobby, and nobody invited, and threw some cars sideways for a while.

Next day there's a ban notice.

Nobody reported me, due to nobody but me and the servers knowing what I did, so there's a check in place within the communication lines to identify the cars as being "wrong" and the ban hammer is despatched.

The game is always sending data back to PD, so basically Big Brother Is Watching :mischievous:

Good grief, what is insane then?
Fiat 500 with an X1 engine?

4WD Lamborghini engined 2CV?

Bugatti Veyron engines Pagani Zonda?

Lotus 97T engined Elise?

I want to do all of the above now
