Coaxed at bit more out of the Stratos. Tried 3/3 BB but it felt a bit lacking in bite. I kept finding myself with my foot to the floor wondering if there was any more to be had before locking up. 4/4 seemed a better compromise.

Here's another fresh scalp from the rolling hills around Sierra. :)

image.jpeg

37 cars were passed on this attempt, almost 38 due to the Nova SS getting away. :irked: Edit: if you need a shown score, then I'll go and grab one for you.

So to compinsate for that, I took on the Veryon at Ascari. :p

Felt much better afterwards.

Edit Edit: A more crystal clear photo for Sierra Stage 3.

Early entry for the The Plum Crazy Trophy, all aids off ABS and TC set to 0

View attachment 502808

This time is faster than what you did in the Scirocco at THE TOP HATCH Event.
Would you like to enter this time as your 'Hot hatch' entry, too? It is permitted.

Settings don't matter - if the event permits it you can use everything the game gives you - so if assists off give you a better run that is your choice, If you can handle the car with all assists on, that's okay, too, for this particular event - it levels the playing field for all concerned; merely a change in tactics.

Edit: General comment: new Events being posted at present. I am in The Hatch if any Hunters need to touch base on anything. ;)

Further Edit:

Two New Events added. For entry-level players a good chance to grab a title by acing the GT300 NO FEAR Award - take the Silvia out and learn how to stretch her legs - if you can make her come through with a win - well, that proves you're on the way to becoming a seasoned player whether you are on the top of that leaderboard or not.
Of course - the guy at the top of the leaderboard gets the kudos.

For ALL players - a bit of fun and excitement as you try to control a very frisky bunch of drivers driving souped-up GT cars - and they're all impatient to get to the finish line. But as The Pace Commander you call the shots - you can not only win the race if you have to - you can control the pace of the race itself. Prove your skill.

Is this OK ? Any car can enter for this beginner event, as long not Subaru right ? (Subie Killer event)

How many Points? Amount of overtakes doesn't show - do you have a leaderboard shot?

5 points for the win and 1 point for every Subaru you overtake in the race.

Was it only 4 Subies? Then 9 Points?

OP updated to this post.
Apart from any Bonus Events forwarded by previous winners of Tickets and placed on the Board (and which may have different time frames) this Board will be the Full schedule of Events that make up this round till the 28th of January.
Some reminders - players may only win one title from any of the Whoosier-ruled events.
They may win as many Open titles, in addition.
Entry-level Events are off-limits to players with three or more titles to their credit.

Woohoo! A pace event! 👍 I actually have a chance at another trophy!

On my first try I tried too hard to slow them all down and got beat to the line!

20160118_113331.jpg

So I went back again and I wasn't able to squeeze them all together as close...

Back with another attempt at the Subie Killer with yet another bad photo! It's what I get for not having an HD TV

Used the Toyota Wedsport Celica this time around. It wasn't a massive improvement in time from the Garayia, but it's still better: 4'17.990. However, this time around I slew 5 Subies instead of just 3. There's still more to be done, but it's certainly better.

Nice job, DisabledRacer - but it was gap between P1 -P12, not P1-P2,
If it was a 'Close Shave' event you would have been hard to beat for sure. Unless the the winner of the Time Traveller Trophy came along.

I will update the OP with all new times tonight - please make sure entries are clearly labelled.
Thanks. 👍

Plum crazy.
Didn't expect this car to be as fast as it is.

Good Evening GT Hunters.

Lots of great action - good to see everyone pushing each other up the ladder. This is one way to keep in practise, eh? :)

A big welcome to bj23, RMan72 and wahthewalrus - and good to see cory joining us as well as the indomitable DisabledRacer himself who can sometimes race in a wheelbarrow and still win. 👍
Most of the splits in the leaderboard between first and last are quite small - and this only shows that if the pack of you were racing together Online it would surely be a pretty heated race.

Managed to get some time at the console and grabbed the VI R '10 and improved my time at The Top Hatch. No tune as yet, so there's still hope for improvement. Very relaxing and addictive race - most of the fields are paced the same - with the Bimmer as the Gold Rabbit in this lot. AI Rivers in the VI R '10 also does a fair job of providing the player with a satisfying race depending on pace.

Having pretty much maxed out with the Golf I switched to the Corvette Operator and oboy - did I love this car and this race. Rather long - so I managed to get two runs at it, lost the first, won the second - but hoping to find the time to do more. I still have power in reserve, but must get a proper tune for it. This car really blows on this course - and to be racing with a whole bunch of sleek new Corvettes is a guaranteed smiley. :)
For you guys trying out that event - what PP/HP are you running. Any tunes? This car has amazing potential and is a dream to drive - no wonder I drove it so often around Hawaii in TDU2. Handling in GT6 is eons better of course. ;)

Finally at another sitting I was at the Green Hell enjoying myself immensely trying to win the race in the YellowHat GT-R. My mission is to beat the race in this before I move on to trying another car, but I can't seem to get more than 174 MPH. The fight between down-force and top-speed is killing me. Again, must get a tune - and what better place to find one than GTPlanet. ;) TG, the event lasts all month so I can get to try out a few more cars - so many great GT500 cars to try.

So back to the drawing board (or rather, the Starting Line) for me on that one. I never tire of the Ring, though. It was what brought me into Gran Turismo and kept me there. Should I mention the dreaded Mission 34? :D
