How to beat B. Kennedy over 20 seconds? Even hard to get podium. :banghead:

Well done @nowayback !
I've run the Red Devil two more times thinking that I could find another second or two and catch one more car:drool: only to find that I'm finishing even slower by a few seconds.:irked: and I wasn't getting any closer to the next car.:grumpy:

Yes I tried a few days later after initial time and was 10-20 secs slower each time .

Three times I went back intending to have another go at this and three times I found myself spending the whole session driving stock cars round the Nordschleife in the new TT, which is much more my cup of tea. Managed to resist this time and improved a bit, although not much. Used a four stop strategy, RH front/RM rear, and taking on 40l of fuel each time, which takes about the same amount of time as changing the wheels. I don't know if the tyre mix helped or not but it ended up with the same amount of wear on all four and I figured a bit of extra grip on the rear couldn't do any harm.
Great stuff from @nowayback and @GTsail290, and as for @TRL_Andromeda - just brilliant.

Actuallly, it can, as more rear grip will make the car understeered, increasing the wear on the front tyres.
Also, we have very different driving styles it seems. I used RH/RH and still had more wear on the rears. but then again, that could be down to setup. I run negative rear toe... alot of negative toe... like, -0.65. That is part of the "more agressive setup" I was talking about, and helps me get the car to turn.

With me Front L goes 1st . 1st lap 7-8 /8 R 8/8 2nd 4-5/5 r 5/5 3rd 1/2 r1/1 RH .
!bad crash trying to get into pits , car came up my left side, and at end car crashed in front of me, back marker, all over the track .

I'm not much cop as a tuner so any advice as to how to get this thing to turn is greatly appreciated. 👍
On RH all round I was trashing the fronts much quicker, front left particularly. Tomorrow more toe.

Tried a lot of rear -toe as TRL_Andromeda said . Helps turn in, sacrifice tire wear though.
Oops! didn't realize 3rd was my best place . Took a beating from other cars and penalties . :D 1st lap best time ....strange

Great race @nowayback !!!:bowdown::bowdown: Well done!!!👍

Running the race that far under 26 minutes is just amazing!!!

I've re-run the race a few more times and haven't been able to go any faster.:grumpy: I'm still finishing in 6th place with a time of about 26:05.xxx. I've now put about 600 miles on my Red Devil and have had to change the oil and re-fresh a worn chassis, but just can't seem to find much more pace.:irked:

E.&.O.E. Happy New Year all Hunters - and happy hunting your best performances in 2016!

Oh, is it over so soon? And I'd just got my Red Devil handling more like a car than a puppy on a parquet floor.
Congratulations to the winners, stellar performances from @TRL_Andromeda in the Red Devil, and @Ed_Night in the Cobra, in what was the best challenge I've had the pleasure of participating in here. So good we should do it again. How about two consecutive laps of the Nordschleife in a Yellow Bird?
And it turns out @photonrider has "the right stuff". I did spend some time on the moon but it was so pathetic I didn't bother to take down any times. Spent most of my time lost or upside down. I've always preferred tracks with a bit of scenery so I know where I am.
Not serious about the Yellow Bird BTW.

FINALLY!!!

I've put 900 miles on my Red Devil, but finally I've cracked the 26 minute barrier and pulled down 5th place in the race with a time of 25:57.451.:):):)

23852528650_e38105d795_b.jpg

I finally put together a nice group of consistent laps and gained enough time to pass the 5th place Ford GT LM Test Car who was on a one-stop race and wore his left rear down to zero giving me a chance to catch him going thru the last corner on lap # 10:eek::):)

The Ford GT LM Test car gets a little out of shape:

So I begin to drive past him!

Good Afternoon, Hunters. :)

Again - the very best in the coming year for all of you. It was a most excellent 2015 - I cannot believe the levels of intensity we applied over the year to the various events, and the amount of fun we juiced out of this game playing against each other.
The fact that the challenges were also the creations of play by individual players brought many colorations to our activities - obviously many heads are better than one.
Ravana would agree.

I was hoping to do an end-of-year synopsis for the Log in Post#2 but that would turn out to be another book. :ouch:

To start off this first pow wow for the year - I have bad news and good news. Which is which depends where you stand right now, of course.
The bad news - I misread the closing dates of the Holiday Events and therefore closed them hastily and erroneously. To correct this, and continue to give players the opportunity to make recorded runs at it, I will reopen the Events immediately.
This might be good news to those who had no chance to go anywhere near the events yet. (Like me. :sly: )

To condense - Online A-Spec Event Current Challenges will continue till PD shuts them down.

This brings me to another issue;

We need fresh challenges to give impetus to our 2016 practical investigation of this game and all it offers. Those of you holding Tickets - please use them.
To make it easy - I will expand the parameters for the challenges:
Licenced Hunters may create challenges with 'Special' settings (settings that cannot be verified but would be adhered to) from any part of the game - whether offline or online with these tickets.
Keep in mind that offline challenges are more flexible in terms of time available for engagement.
Time Trials would also be permitted in this category.

For those Licenced Hunters that don't have Tickets to spend - please talk to me inside the Hatch.
The Hutch?
Not the Hutch (that belongs to the Rabbits, we're talking 'Hatch' - as in the hatches one battens at times.
The Hatch will be a special Conversation I will set up polling only the Licenced Hunters where you may talk more freely about the ideas you have and how best we could set up such challenges.
Obviously, sensitive issues and other grieviances may also be discussed in there out of sight in the coming year and will make for better mediation if such actually occurs.
So drop into the Hatch with your ideas and all concerned will be able to see the cards you lay on the table.
If by accident you end up in the Hutch - fire with both barrels.

Hunters on hiatus are also welcome to drop in there and chip in - once a Hunter always a Hunter, and all Licenced Hunters - past, present - and future - will be included in this Conversation we call the Hatch.

I will now adjust the Current Events to show extended times. Please accept my apologies for the kink.

@Baron Blitz Red - We're going to be stranded on the Moon if we don't find a pilot - so I will be reopening that event, too - with some wrinkles. ;)

Okay - The Hatch is open.
Remember - The Hatch is not a place. It's an entrance to a place - where you end up when you go down the rabbithole is up to you. Start hatching. ;)

What event is open ?

Everything's Go again. Launch control has given us the thumb's up.
And yes - we need more events - use the Hatch if you need to thrash out any details about any challenges you want to throw in even if you don't have any Tickets.

GTG. BBS.

Quantum Rabbits
How deep can you go down the *bleeping* Rabbithole?

How many can you overtake cleanly?
Show us more than the Champ can overtake and claim the crown.
Bring us a legible graphic of your Maximum Combo as an entry.
These are Permanent Challenge and will remain open indefinitely.

The Whoosier Rule does not apply to these Open Challenges.

On a new game, I was able to chase down 65 rabbits using the Fiat500 so I was suitably pleased with my score::)

Already had a tuned '54 from some previous event but the suspension settings were horrible so I used @TheInfamousJEW6 's which was a great improvement. 👍 Coincidentally it was in the same colour blue. Looks lovely with its white-walls.

Wow what an awesome time! I've gone back and revisited this event multiple times over the last week or so, and have only been able to improve my overall time by 7 seconds... The times you guys are able to achieve in these events boggles my mind!

Thanks for using my tune and I'm glad you got along with it so well! (as your excellent time shows!)

Now back to RL and hoping I can make some time to race around Willow again before we get some new tasty morsels from PD tomorrow... Not sure if we get TT's or A-Spec but either way I can't wait!

Woohoo!!! New A-spec races are live!! :D

Close times, so I bet everybody enjoyed the running. Got say what TRL_Andromeda did with the Devil was unforgettable. 👍 👍
I remain surprised that no one could oust me from my position of lightened gravity on top of the Moon - so I'm going to keep that up as a permanent challenge with the hopes that someone will come along much faster than me at lunacy.
Looks like we got 3 new juicy events to work on - so those of you still holding tickets better get scrambling and designing some challenges. :D
Finally - Thanks to all who participated and applied suitable thumbscrews to their opponents; if we don't push each other we will not push the limits.

Thank goodness the Red Devil Challenge at Death Valley is over:banghead::crazy:

My pit-crew is completely exhausted from changing the tires on my Red Devil every other lap!:dopey::lol:

I ran my Red Devil 1,036.5 miles at Death Valley:
