GT6 - Removed/Added Features

I'll try to make a comparative list between GT5 and GT6, about what we know so far. If you spot an error or have additional info, feel free to let us know.

### Cars ###
I wrote a program to remove the duplicates from the lists of cars from GT5 and GT6. I still got a lot of mismatches (around 200) that I had to go through manually (a lot of cars were slightly renamed, but we can easily assume it's the same car). As for the "Removed Cars (with similar alternative present)", I'm still almost sure that it was a naming issue and that it is safe to assume it's the same car, but I put them there anyway. Note: for those of you who are curious, I attached the mismatch file ("out.txt") so that you can judge by yourself if the cars are the same or not.

- Removed Cars (no alternative present)

? Popular Features (in OP's opinion) that weren't yet addressed by PD
Qualification before race (with time limit and results table)?

So, I'm guessing that part is a mistake.

"In Gran Turismo 6, features that were not supported officially in the previous title will now be included: online lobby time trials, drift trials and races with qualifying rounds are just a few examples. Users will also be able to create customised rooms tailored to their favourite play-style and these settings can be saved and shared with others."

Quoted from here: http://www.gran-turismo.com/gb/products/gt6/online/

Oh, you're right. I missed that page completely. Thanks, iainoflo 👍
Let's see how it will be implemented (hope it's on A-Spec too, and that you can set time limit and see results table).

That's quite alright - I remember it being mentioned previously as well, I think after a Games show when they announced the online features. They haven't seem to have changed since then, granted, but I wonder also how it might be implemented. With little evidence to show how it's been implemented it's hard to know really whether it will work as people want.

And as for offline, well I doubt it. But maybe for Endurance/Championships it would make more sense, but certainly not for Sunday Cup and the like. But we shall see.

erm.... since when was anything about horns talked about? I really wanted to keep my 4.2 r8 ferry horn on it..

We don't know if they have been removed, just like Museum Cards, but we'll have to wait and see as there is no mention/screenshots of these.

Well done @Oyashiro-sama 👍👍 @Jordan also confirmed last night that the "Streets of Willow" will be in GT6, but no word on whether it's launch or DLC (or I missed it)

EDIT: Maybe add a "Confirmed for Future Inclusion" category, but it must be based on independently verified observations of a final product, not vague promises or offhand comments made in interviews.

Yes, I was forgetting about museum cards. I put these features on a different category to avoid confusion.

Also, can someone confirm if we had this on GT5:
(?) Special Stage Route X [Time Changes]
(?) Twin Ring Motegi [Weather Changes] [Time Changes]

I already put a "+ New Features (promised via future updates/DLCs)" category :)
But "Streets of Willow" can be considered a track variation (layout) of the Willow Springs International Raceway, right? We have practically zero info about track variations (from both old and new tracks), so I think it's better to wait before going in detail about track layouts.

SSRX already had time, but Motegi did not. Also, Daytona and Spa have time and weather added to them.

Yeah, Jordan also told me Stowe circuit (inside Silverstone) will be in the game, so you can add that too.

Didn't know about Streets of Willow though, that's awesome.

Here's a map of Willow Springs:

The big course is, of course, Big Willow, the bottom right, more technical, circuit is Streets of Willow, and that smaller track above it is The Horsethief Mile

You're right. We don't know if the liveries will be the same or not. But at this point I think it's safe to assume it's the same car. Most renames were the inclusion/exclusion/replacement of the tags RM, Concept, Touring Car, Le Mans, Rally Car, Race Car, TC, JGTC.

I did not put all those cases to make things easier to read, but if more people insist I can add them.

Why shelby 350 gt is new car? it was also in gt5
GT5 have Shelby GT350R '65.
GT6 have Shelby GT350R '65 and Shelby GT350 '65. Notice the lack of the "R".

Other TCs have Touring Cars instead of "TC" in their names.

It seems that the "Base Models" are the new RM's.

That's what I don't get, the GT350"R" in GT5 looks and performs a lot more like a regular 350, which we're supposedly getting in GT6.

The "R" stands for racing. The 350R is stripped out for weight and has more power. Also, every 350R has a number on the side, which the one in GT5 doesn't.

I don't get it honestly.

Yes, there's a possibility of it being just an error (like a rename of the car, but PD forgot to remove the old one from GT6 list).
