I realize only thing they did with standard cars is that they gave it a black cockpit view, that's it, graphic are ps2 stuff. IF you watch replay of standard cars, the jagged edge and everything is verryyyy noticeable! How many premiums cars are there anyway.

I am very disappointed that the 6th time around isn't any improvement, except more cars and maps, and different interface

If you can't notice the physics difference either, you are playing the wrong game.

Also, several standard cars have been updated, and the black cockpit view was in GT5 too.

Yeah standard cars is probably the worst thing about GT5 and GT6. Would gladly take 50 different premiums rather than standard cars. Can't believe they made this decision for GT6
I would rather have the standard cars to drive in a driving game than have very few cars to drive in this driving game. They have the same physics as the premium cars, and they are just as fun to drive. PD gave us a bonus this time around and touched some of them up visually and yet people still complain.

Those physics differences that STILL have absolutely no capability for lift-off oversteer on FF cars...

For guys like me that use cockpit view. It is not great but I will still be using it. I agree that it is a option to use but instead they could have done many more premiums instead. On PS4 I think all cockpit view is a must.

Physics are still WAY better than GT5, and every other console racer. Nothing is ever perfect, but you can get damn close.

Would you not agree it's rather a large omission? Emulating it poorly is one thing, but completely removing a very important characteristic for an entire type of car? You can't agree thats acceptable.

The boys currently playing FM5 would disagree with ya :D

Meh, I use hood/roof view so it doesn't bother me.
So PD can just as well model a potato for you to drive, and you still would be happy?

I only use cockpit view on "premium" cars. I decided to compromise and use the bumper/3rd person view.

If I wanted ps2 graphics , Id play GT4

This was about listing 1200 cars as a feature. Give me 600 complete premiums and dlc the rest if they ran out of time. Keep the crap graphics out of the game. Polish is important in making a great game

Really? Here was me thinking the boys currently playing Forza would have preferred something else! Shockaroony!

Where did you read them not loving the physics then? Go and take a look at the FM5 subforum here; the majority of people currently playing it love it, whilst the GT6 forum seems seriously divided at the moment...

And before the "don't start it" comments come; yes yes i know we are not allowed to mention the competition.

I was being sarcastic.

Basically what you said is fans of a series are enjoying their game. Which is usually the norm for fanbases which aren't hyper-critical

About the physics? Not what I am seeing.

Ah damn; didn't read through the scottish there :O :D

Even on the physics people are divided that are playing GT6 right now; let alone all the other well known flaws.

Standards really bothered me in GT5 and for months after I bought the game I didn't drive any standard cars. But when I started getting cars like the Lister and XJ220 LM I couldn't stay away any longer. Then before I knew it I was driving more standard cars than premium! Once again I was hugely disappointed that GT6 had standard cars and vowed I wouldn't buy the game simply because of that, but yet I bought the game today at Wal-Mart because I couldn't pass it up. And once again I'm sure I'll drive the standard cars and slowly build my list of favorites all over again. The fact of the matter is, you can be disappointed that the games these days, including GT6, aren't magnificent wonders of technological advancement you had dreams of, or you can stop being a pessimist and allow yourself to enjoy the game as it is. You can also avoid the disappointment all together and read about the game before buying it and if it has a certain aspect you consider a deal breaker, such as standard cars, then don't buy it.

All I know is that my 240zg "standard" looks AMAZING!! Can't possibly tell me that looked the same on gt4 or gt5.

Quoted for truth.

This isn't the 6th time around bud, it's the 2nd. No one was complaining about "jagged edges" on the ps2 or ps1...
