Your math is a little off. GT has been making premium cars that are next gen ready since 2005, since the launch of GT4. Forza has been making premium cars that are next gen ready since about the launch of Forza 4, October 2011. Forza 5 launched in December 2013 with 200 cars, Forza 6 launched 21 months later with 450 cars, an increase of 250. 250 cars in 19 months is more premiums than GT added in the more than 5 years it took to develop GT5. For GT6, including DLC from GT5, GT added about 130 unique premiums in 3 years.
Forza is making new cars at a much faster rate than GT's historic rate of about 40-45 unique new premiums per year. Over the last 19 months they've produced at rate of nearly 150 cars/year. Forza is hands down winning the premium car count race and by Forza 7 they should be well ahead of GT unless PD pulls a rabbit out of the hat, something they've never been able to do on this front.
Ahh thanks Johnny for clearing that up. I knew it was something like that. For instance PD making next gen since GT4 PS3 days - 10 years, wasn't sure and didn't know since when T10 had been making next gen ready cars. So in 4 years they have made 450 cars which within the next year will add another 42 7 car pack.
But do you know how many pure premiums PD has made since GT4 upto GT6? Or does anyone. I was guessing 600. And I knew my maths was a little off but in the right direction. So now I know T10 have been making next gen ready since 2011.
But as I said in my last post, PD really has had plenty of time, 10 years to expand the company, employ more, outsource etc etc etc.. Kaz really has a lot of catch up to do, when they should of been keeping ahead of the competition all along.
On one last note. I'm really enjoying Forza 6 once the physics is set to how I like it. You can tell those little areas that were poor or weak have been improved on over Forza 5. Looks like Forza 6 is going to have 492 ish cars at the end of the year.
I'm sure I'll be playing this game a lot more than the previous iterations. So far I have been Test driving the cars gifted to me. These are Ford GT 2017, V 12 Vantage S, M4 Coupe, M235i, La Ferrari, Shelby GT500, F-150 SVT Raptor Shelby, F Type R Coupe, Agera, GT-R Black Edition, 22B STi. All the cars have been enjoyable to drive.
The scenery in Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland is fantastic. Just driven it today. I'd been test driving all cars on Monza, so I still have all the other tracks to test drive. The 3d textures and scenery is fantastic and the details of the road so good. I'm loving the more natural tones instead of the oversaturated overdone colors. It makes a world of difference.
