I was thinking two of the smaller transducers from the same range might be more suitable for the pedals, especially seeing they won't receive too many fx. Maybe another small one for under the gear shifter. Then the four recommended one's for the seat.
I would not do that. The effects are made for the frequency range and power of the BDS4. Refer back to my post above about the effects on my pedals.

As for the gear shifts, they are designed and mapped to to he middle of the seat back. I would focus on the seat for now and do the pedals farther down the road, what you will get with the seat will be very satisfying, the pedals later will be icing on the cake. Mr Latte hasn't even developed specifically for the pedals yet, he has been on hiatus for a while while he builds his monster rig so I had been fine tuning the current batch, and ventured out on my own to the pedals using/testing/tweaking current effects on the pedals.

The links you provided are the correct items.

Amazon has the exciters as well, but here they were more expensive, maybe not where you are.

When you pick a seat, be certain that the entire back, and preferably sides and under are hard (and smooth). The exciters are mounted using the dual lock so they can be relatively easily removed using the mounting plate provided with the exciters. My final 2 exciters are mounted underneath, Mt Latte has 4 under there. There may eventually be some on the sides (thigh area) as well.

I don't do FaceBook, and don't do really do messaging on PSN, I don't have a keyboard for the PlayStation either.

I'm getting closer to finding a source that delivers the exciters to Oz. Big discount for 4+ too. Check this out https://www.opentip.com/Dayton-Audi...BPe5u1uW9ZG-ZCcgqk_6efQdiSkPzDuxoCkMYQAvD_BwE

I hope to pull the trigger on these items tomorrow, but the seat may take a little longer. The buckets I'm looking at are definitely flat and smooth. Some are out of race cars. I have to either make sure it comes with mounts or find them online.

Great price! Let me know before you turn on the amps! I gotta get you situated so you don't blow the exciters right away. You will "get it" when I explain it.

I'll definitely yell out before connecting it up. I'm just waiting on a postage query from the exciter supplier, hopefully they respond quickly, then pull the trigger. Every thing will probably take up to two weeks to arrive and the soundcard is out of stock, but I ordered it from Amazon Aus. anyway. Filling out all these forms is tedious.
Just ordered the amp from AliExpress, now to organise wiring etc. How much wire did you need?

I just bought 100 ft roll. A 150 roll would have been better. As I said, I now have 12 exciters, my farthest away one was around 10 feet by the time you snake it around everything to try to keep it "hidden".

You probably already know, but to be completely OCD :D all wires should be the same length, so 10 times 12 was obviously more than 100 ft.

I'm glad we don't have to do tedious forms!

I'll get onto the wiring, so 150' it is. I also like neat wiring and hiding it is a must.
The tedious forms were just filling in name and address etc. I don't know why my browser(Firefox) didn't autofill the forms, oh well, it's pretty much done now.
I take it that you are running two soundcards and amps, are you using a USB hub for the soundcards?

Yep! The amps are full! I have no more space.

On the USB hub question... No, it didn't work. Latte said his did, I tried 2 different name brand/good powered USB hubs, no go. I talked to my step son who is a high end video editor and knows all things regarding computing, editing, sound, etc. he said, because of his rig (higher end and motion), his wheel for example will NOT work on a hub, and only doing iRacing, hubs weren't an option, and it was cheaper to add usb ports to the computer anyway.

Interestingly, SimHub had a recent update that spoke about USB hub issues... I have moved, on and when needed I will add a USB card to the computer.

This will save me bothering if/when I upgrade. I'm pretty sure I have enough ports on the docking station that I can connect this tablet to.

When you say "tablet" you don't mean like iPad or something right? I don't think any (non pc) tablets will run SimHub.
No, it is a HP PC tablet running Win10. I've already got SimHub up and running and have tested with a few dashboards. Works great. I'll get a license as soon as I get the exciters.
I do have an old mini iPad that I'm going to try using as a dashboard. Have you got into the dashboards?

No dashboards, I race only in VR. When I test (effects) I don't use VR, or even the wheel. Testing is tedious.

I finally finished reading through the whole thread and can see that Mr. Latte has done the work that I would usually have to do myself with research on different hardware etc. I started looking into the hardware and knew there had to be a better solution than using multiple two channel nobsound amp/soundcards. I also figured that I will probably need eight channels to do corners, pedals and seat. Now I realise that corners are not the go and the explanation makes sense, as I do have experience with acoustics and audio and being a musician, so the split octave frequencies make plenty of sense to me.

I still will have to look into getting a hardshell bucket seat, but I think I can make do with the car seat that I have for now and fit one or two large transducers under the seat. First, I need to pull out the debit card and make these purchases that you linked to.

Isolation and decoupling of the MDF pedal plate should be easy using rubber on the frame. Lucky I haven't finished the frame, so the adjustments will be easy. I'm not sure where to decouple the seat, under the mounts maybe?

The plastic box under the seat slides out, but I haven't been able to remove it yet. Seems to be on some locking clip device or something, it might be handy for storage. If it gets in the way, I'll remove the whole thing. But above that box the seat has a steel plate that covers the front half or so of the seat, not quite to the butt, but very close and covers all the thigh region. Looks like a great place for mounting a couple of transducers.
I was able to peel up the upholstery and embed a thin mdf board with some transducers mounted to them for the back, for underneath I did the same but tucked them between the springs and the foam. I can feel left and right, it’s quit strong, my nobsound amps are around half volume. A bonus, can’t see them, it looks like a seat on a frame with a wheel. All the wires are routed under the table I have my laptop on and controllers etc. Can still slide my seat back and forth and recline to whatever position.

I want to configure my tactile setup and don't know what to do with my pucks on throttle and brake pedal. My plan was to use seat tactiles for immersion and pedal tactiles for information. But, as far as I unterstand it, the information that GT7 provides is not very useful for pedal information. Initially I planed to use something like front wheels lock for brake and rear wheels slip for throttle.

What would be a setup that is most useful for the pedals and does come close to that plan?

I also don't understand the function and exact difference between "wheel lock" / "wheel slip" vs. "wheel lock & slip" vs. traction loss?

This is true.

I am on the RaceBass system (Mr Latte).

Unofficially, not yet part of sanctioned RaceBass system, I am using the same BDS4 on gas and brake, and the following (RaceBass) effects with excellent results.
Gear shift, Lateral G, road impacts, road vibration, RPM, Simulated Road texture, and Traction control.

It must be noted that I ONLY activate traction control in the car when using ultra high powered cars and/or in the rain, and usually only on level 1.

No, I can not share the actual effects, but you can probably come up with something that will be pretty good.

Woow, what a read. Its very exciting! My concern is if im not computer programming inclined, is it worth buying and wiring up with out the full effects?
I havnt looked into what simhub can do yet, but spending the money honey and then what?
Have these kick arse exciters that arnt to their full potential?
Like what is the solution to my problem?
Will the guide be out soon or is it you play with it all your self?
I messaged mr latte, before i read all the 23 pages, but i would hate to be a bother after reading all thats gone on with that bloke.
I think his done his fair share.
I found it sad that it felt like the energy had to leave the room....
What can we do next as a group?

Computer programming isn't needed, but YOU will need to spend time learning SimHub, and please buy the license, it is cheap and the SimHub guy REALLY deserves it. If you can follow instructions, not argue and second guess you will be fine. Trust the process, the results are well worth it.

This group is kaput, but is a good reference/starting point.

IF, and ONLY if, you buy the correct equipment, I will help. I will NOT work with incorrect equipment, everything revolves around the equipment. PM me if you are interested, include a pic or two of your rig. Read my signature below, there are helpful things there.

SimHub doesn’t have all effects for GT7. Some of the effects leave something to be desired. But it’s enough to add to the experience. I do recommend just buying what is suggested or shall I say “MANDATORY” simply because you should then be able to ask somebody to send you their SimHub presets and be one your way to racing rather than tweaking.

I have “less than and ideal setup” and I think it’s great. In fact I was told to just sell all my stuff and start again (I joined the group after I had purchased everything and had a plan of what I was going to do, I simply joined to get input on the best way to mount my tt25’s). I won’t be selling or upgrading because I’m perfectly satisfied… still… So that tells me if you have the cash, just drop it on whatever the recommended hardware is if it’s within your budget. There isn’t really a clear list of hardware and files to download a far as I could find. Nor is there a short concise guide. There should be it’s quite simple.

*** I will say this, when you’re inputting the numbers in the SimHub to open ports or whatever for GT7, seperate only by a comma, not a comma and then a space. That’s the only issue I ran into. Also save your presets because sometime SimHub messes up and you lose all your settings, so be sure to save them, not only effects but your shaker settings too.

I don’t care what anybody in here says, it WILL work with “incorrect hardware” it’s not incorrect it’s just not the hardware Mr latte recommends, and in all fairness that hardware keeps getting swapped for other hardware anyway so it’s constantly changing. People have purchased the recommended only to have the recommended changed so I can understand why some people would get frustrated with that. This is the best… months later, actually no this is the best that other stuff pales in comparison.

There is definitely a my way or the highway vibe in this group which is too bad since everyone is just trying to get something working to add to their racing experience.

I played on a rec league soccer team and the attitude there was great, let’s just go have some fun. Nobody told each other which cleats to buy or how to play etc. If anybody had questions they asked and everybody was very friendly and non judgmental.

This is a thread created for people wanting to enhance their experience of an $80 PlayStation video game. Keep that in mind, a video game. It’s a decent sim but it’s not the best so only expect so much out of GT7. Naturally you’re going to have all kinds of different levels of commitment and expectations for adding haptic feedback. I think everyone should be welcome. “Your hardware isn’t ideal but you could try this…”, would be a welcoming approach but that is beyond some people’s capabilities when they’re hiding behind a computer screen.

Good luck, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it when you have it setup whatever your budget allows for.

Been very busy with work/family, nice recent weather too and currently on holidays...
All that delays my own builds progress and when I can personally get back into tactile again.

Have three words in mind based on hawkeyez post.

Do feel 100% certain, with what I will share below, which uses the same hardware and approaches I have been working towards.
It's a continuation of my ideas/creativity with tactile and based on my own experimenting/developing for new ways to implement it.

Something, I believe, no-one else involved with creative, tone-generation implemented tactile.
Either for PS5 or indeed PC titles, on ANY forum or Discord group to date would have said before....

Should make it quantum interstellar while you’re at it.

The recent communication I have had via using AI Certainly a useful resource and I have seen great correlation from what I know works well from experiences in testing and points in discussion with the AI.

I wanted to get more input on how to go about applying the ideas I have with the performance benefits adopting this concept can bring.

One goal is to seek to go beyond the "less is more" mindset that applies when you have the common limitations, often via restricted capabilities in the installed hardware or how/where this is applied over reduced number of channels.

So, is it fair to say,no other approach I am aware of to date, based on seeing the hardware installations they incorporate or methodology in effects they use, would be capable in applying the following combined elements to a seat?

1. Usage and control of the lowest fundamental frequencies to every body location/channel
2. Improved dynamic range, enhancing the application for greater variation in effects
3. Uniformed performance across the whole body/torso/upper limbs for increased spatial perception
4. Multi-lateral stereo effects possibilities
5. Multi-binural "beat frequency" potential. Across, lateral, vertical or both axis for increased 3D sensory
6. Combining resonant frequencies for specific body regions with the adoption of musically applied partial octaves in multi-layered effects creation

Time will be spent evaulating these options.
